Chapter 1863: Sundering a black hole

The ocean between the Everlife Continent and the Endlessdeath Continent had been peaceful ever since the initial clash of the Omega War between Divine Calamity and Divine Sea. But today, after over a decade of peace, things have changed.

The sky screamed with thunder and lightning, crackling across the heavens in every direction. Towering waves surged and crashed with such force that even Divine Masters would have their bones shattered by the shock. All of that destruction—the chaos of sea and sky—was centered around a single figure advancing at breathtaking speed. The lightning in the sky and the waves on the ocean bowed to him, swirling around his presence.

He was none other than Divine Calamity.

His eyes burned with fury and an overwhelming desire to kill as they locked onto a lone figure ahead—a young man with white hair, a handsome face, and three eyes. That man seemed at one with the elements around him, in a state of absolute serenity and peace, and from him surged a cataclysmic psychic power that made the atmosphere tremble.

Divine Calamity’s eyes flickered with a brief tremor of emotion as he focused on Cain, his instincts sounding a clear warning. Not long ago, this was a man he had once crushed with a single wave of his hand and whom he had forced to bow, yet now his instincts were screaming danger.

"You’re nothing but an ant!" Divine Calamity roared, trying to dismiss the flicker of fear that crept into his soul. That moment of hesitation ignited a shame that he couldn’t ignore. Cain’s mere existence was a stain upon his pride. He didn’t care that the boy had captured his son. The only thing that mattered now was to kill him—erase this insult from the world and also finally fulfill the command that his Lord had given him.

"DIE!"

With that roar, the full might of Divine Calamity’s Inner Universe exploded. He brought his hands together, compressing his killing intent, his rage, and every ounce of destruction within him into a single point. Then he opened them—and a colossal black hole erupted forward.

Space and time shattered as the black hole tore through reality, consuming everything in its path. It grew larger and stronger with each passing moment, an abyssal engine of destruction.

Far from the shattered shore, Alucard, Pation, and the rest of the Prima Deities looked on in awe. Unlike the Prima Deities of the Scarlet Path, Andrew grinned with fierce confidence. Fear had clouded his heart earlier, but now, as he watched the black hole advance at light speed, he was certain.

"This is the true power of my father. Cain Laurifer won’t survive this."

Tension mounted as the black hole grew. Its size surpassed that of a small world, surrounded by a burning corona of energy capable of sundering the fabric of reality. Yet even with annihilation so close, the Scarlet King remained perfectly still. His eyes were closed, his expression calm, as he remained seated in his meditative posture.

Then, just nanoseconds before impact, Cain extended his right hand. His palm opened—and the black hole froze in place.

Silence reigned.

The Prima Deities could hardly believe their eyes. This was an ArchDeity-ranked spell, a technique capable of obliterating even the strongest of Prima Deities. Yet Cain had stopped it with a single palm.

How was this possible?

As they focused, they saw it—a massive arm had emerged from thin air, larger than any construct they had ever witnessed. It gripped the black hole and held it in place.

The arm was composed of jagged, scarlet scales, cracked and glowing with molten red lines as though containing the force of a supernova beneath its skin. Its structure was layered and rugged, with protruding spikes that made it look like the limb of a titan forged from the bones of a dying universe. The claws at its end were long and terrifying, each one piercing into the black hole.

Unlike the shocked Prima Deities, Divine Calamity saw something more. He felt it—the true nature behind the arm. It wasn’t just willpower. It was infused with physical matter. It embodied every aspect of Cain’s existence.

"Impossible..." Divine Calamity muttered, the tremor in his heart intensifying. His instincts now screamed in warning, telling him that this battle was far from the certainty he had believed.

People reacted in many different ways when faced with the unknown. As for Divine Calamity, he reacted with a fury that burned him from the inside out.

"Just die already!"

His Inner Universe flared once again, feeding even more energy into the black hole. It expanded, growing even larger, as its burning corona surged with renewed fury.

The massive crimson arm began to tremble. The power of the black hole was pushing it back. Its fiery edge crawled ever closer, nearly grazing Cain’s face.

And then Cain opened his eyes.

Twin oceans of red flame surged from his gaze, filled with soul force, essence, and an unbreakable will.

With no hesitation, Cain extended his left hand. Another titanic arm emerged, its claws piercing into the black hole. The pair of arms pulled in opposite directions, gripping the cosmic anomaly with divine strength.

Without a sound, the impossible began to happen.

Cain’s grip tightened.

The claws tore deeper into the black hole.

And then—

"ZNNNNNNN!"

A tearing sound echoed in every direction, shaking the sky and the earth.

The black hole was sundered in two!

The Divine Calamity’s expression twisted into horror and disbelief. The spell he had formed using the totality of his rage and the full power of his Inner Universe had just been broken—ripped apart like fragile paper.

From the distant shoreline, the Prima Deities stood frozen, unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.

The Scarlet King floated in the sky, calm, composed, and utterly unshaken. Twin crimson arms stretched across the air beside him, each one radiating psychic power that flawlessly merged with soul force, allowing them the power to rip apart a singularity.
