Chapter 1843: Depravita Astral Supremacy Star

When it came to the Astral Rebirth Path of Power, Cain currently lacked an ArchDeity-level cultivation technique.

However, that didn’t mean he couldn’t further elevate its potential. In fact, there was a clear path forward—by attuning himself to a higher-level Astral Supremacy Star, he could push the evolution of his Rebirth Heart to unprecedented heights.

Most cultivators followed the typical path—climbing the ladder by gradually bonding with increasingly powerful Stars and refining their connection through time and effort. Cain, however, had no interest in ordinary ascension. He had always walked the edge of the impossible.

Instead of chasing generic stars, he aimed for something far more exotic: a unique stream of Astral Supremacy Stars—those corrupted, yet enhanced, by the Depravitas.

It had been a long time, but Cain still remembered vividly his battle with the Golden King, the former Crown Prince of the Godslayer Humankind Empire of Aether, during the reign of the Golden Emperor. The Golden King had been one of the strongest humans in the world—not simply because of his cultivation, but because of the peculiar Star Power he possessed.

Unlike others who wielded pure Astral Supremacy Stars, the Golden King’s star had been modified by the Depravita. Somehow, those otherworldly beings had tampered with the star’s internal structure, embedding their essence within it, evolving it, and vastly increasing its might.

Cain still had no idea how the Depravitas managed to do such a thing. Even with the insights of an ArchDeity now flowing through his mind, the process eluded him.

Under normal circumstances, Astral Supremacy Stars were not permanent possessions. Even the strongest Prima Deities merely borrowed their strength; the celestial entities always returned to their cosmic origin once their purpose was served.

But the Depravitas had altered that rule. They had hijacked the very cycle of cosmic power and embedded their twisted will into the stars. The result? Unimaginably powerful forces—but ones that came with a price.

These corrupted stars infected the soul and mind of their wielders, slowly overriding their free will until they became little more than puppets of desire and ruin. That was why Cain had never dared to seek them out.

"Things are different now," Cain whispered, eyes gleaming.

After his exchange with the Demon King, and the time he spent with Meylin, Cain believed he had finally acquired the tools necessary to harness these powers—without becoming enslaved by them.

"System, do you have access to the memory fragments and intelligence gathered on the Depravita Race from the Crimson World?"

Although it was the Supercomputer Assistant that had initially performed the data collection and analysis, all that information had been stored within Cain’s cognitive core. The Absolute Life-Form System should be able to access it.

[Data on the Depravita Race is stored within the A.I. Chip Module.]

A wide smile appeared on Cain’s face at the confirmation.

"Risk level of utilizing Depravita Astral Supremacy Stars?"

There was a pause. A silence heavy with implications.

[Analyzing...]

But before the analysis could conclude, a familiar voice cut in.

"Boy, what are you doing?"

Cain’s mind trembled slightly as Apex’s voice echoed from deep within his Soul Dimension.

"The powers of the Depravita are extremely dangerous. Even I wouldn’t tread lightly."

Cain’s expression hardened. He still didn’t fully understand Apex’s background, but one thing was clear: he was a being at least at the peak of the ArchDeity Rank, perhaps beyond. So if he expressed concern, it meant something.

But Cain wasn’t one to allow fear to cloud his reason.

"I’ve been nurturing the Depravita Aura embedded within my Alter Ego for decades. That aura has shaped and tempered my willpower. It’s one of the key reasons my Ego Wave reached First Order Talent. I understand the risks, Apex, but this path may allow my Astral Rebirth Path to evolve beyond all current limits."

The golden humanoid form of Apex narrowed his eyes within Cain’s Soul Dimension. He turned slightly, glancing at a massive sealed gate, wrapped in chains of purple flame and black-and-white lightning.

"Neo-Demon, Primordial, Depravita," Apex murmured. "The sacred triveratum... in a single vessel."

He eyed the cracks forming along the gate with grim unease.

There were too many unknowns—too many forces converging on Cain at once. Apex wondered how much of this path had been influenced, perhaps even orchestrated, by the Red King.

But in the end, he sighed. Even if his instincts screamed that something was off, he could not say more.

"Just be careful," he said finally. "Depravitas are dangerous... especially those who’ve failed to master their nature and are ruled by their most twisted desires. If you’re not vigilant, you may lose more than your sanity."

Cain gave a solemn nod. He wouldn’t ignore Apex’s wisdom.

He waited patiently as the system completed its analysis.

[Danger to the body: nullified due to genetic and structural stability granted by the Primordial Constitution and supported by the Genetic Coder Module.]

[Danger to the soul: significant. Despite decades of ego reinforcement via the Ego Wave, the essence of the Depravita Astral Supremacy Star will attempt to fuse directly with the soul inside the Rebirth Heart.]

Cain’s expression turned serious.

Even after years of nurturing Depravita power within his Alter Ego, infusing it directly into his soul was a different beast altogether. It would be like dipping his essence into liquid corruption.

Yet, just when it seemed the path was too dangerous to walk, the system’s report continued.

[However, the vessel’s soul will achieve the required stability to engage the Depravita Astral Supremacy Star safely once the Alter Ego’s evolution completes.]

Cain’s eyes widened, then sparkled with anticipation.

"So... I just have to wait a little longer."

His Alter Ego’s evolution was already in its final stages. It was only a matter of time now. Once completed, his soul would possess the structural integrity and spiritual depth required to withstand the Depravita Star’s influence.

That was all Cain needed to hear.

A wave of confidence swept through him. The path had once seemed impossible, but now—through will, preparation, and system support—it was finally open.
