Situ Jiuyue nodded.

Jiang Li’s eyes snapped open. The lamp on the table had burned out, plunging the room into darkness, and she could see nothing. Situ Jiuyue lit a fire striker, and in the flickering light, they saw a red-tipped dart pinned to the window, with a letter weighted down beneath it.

It had arrived! Jiang Li’s heart chilled. Situ Jiuyue followed closely behind, clutching a round wax pill in her hand, likely some type of poison. She watched the surroundings cautiously, fearing a trap. Meanwhile, Jiang Li eagerly opened the envelope, and before she could read it, something rolled out from within.
