Chapter 77: Dark Allure Of A Vampire Lord

In the dimly lit chamber, a soft breeze carried the faint scent of roses intertwining with the rich aroma of his musky scent. The gentle flicker of candles cast a warm golden glow, highlighting the intricate details of the room’s ornate decor.

Their gazes met and an electric current seemed to pass between them. She felt a shiver cascade down her spine, a mixture of fear and anticipation.

He took slow steps closer, his presence enveloping her. She could almost taste the intensity of his gaze, like a dark intoxicating elixir.

"Would you want this instead?"

His voice, smooth as velvet brushed against her ears, sending a tingle through her body, the timber of his words was both commanding and alluring, drawing her like a moth to the flame.

A soft touch, feather light, brushed against her skin, igniting a trail of spark in its wake. His fingertips traced the curve of her jaw, leaving a trail of fire that lingered long after they moved away.

She closed her eyes savoring the sensation, as if the world had faded into nothingness, leaving only their connection.

With each heartbeat, the air grew thicker as the tension between them became palpable. As her eyes closed, she felt his lips brush against hers, a delicate collision that ignited a fire within him, threatening to break his demons loose.

His kiss was a symphony of contrasts, soft yet fierce, demanding yet tender. His hard, muscular body pressed against her small one as he wrapped his arm around her small, delicate waist, but she didn’t oppose to his touch, rather she conformed to it as she moaned between the kiss, having never experienced such a sensation that could make her go willing.

She could taste the hint of danger as he stroked his lips against hers, the forbidden allure of his nature.

Warning bells rang in her head, but she shoved them aside, comforting herself with the fact that their fates were already entwined, but deep down her conscience pricked her, it was wrong, he was a vampire lord she barely knew but at that moment, her mind was in a haze of alien sensations that left her numb.

In that stolen moment, their hearts beat as one, a rhythm that spoke of longing and desires. Her rosy scent mingled with the intoxicating aroma of his presence, enveloping her senses in a heady fog.

As their bodies pressed closer, the boundaries between them blurred and the world outside the chamber ceased to exist.

The vampire lord’s touch was like a promise of an eternity filled with mysteries and emotions, drawing her deeper into his dark embrace.

His fingertip traced her slender neck, feeling the smoothness and delicate suppleness of her skin beneath his fingertips that made her tremble as his cold fingers grazed against her skin.

His kisses trailed down her cheeks, trailing lower to her neck as he pressed his nose against her tender neck, inhaling her rosy scent that left him intoxicated, spurring the darkness within him as his demons were provoked.

He sucked on the sensitive skin beneath her earlobe, earning a subtle moan rolling from her lips as he did. His rational mind had dissipated into thin air, as his veins scorched with a burning, dark desire to devour her body and do wicked things to her.

His fangs itched to dig into her skin and his tongue burned to feel the warmth of crimson coating it, his throat scorched to feel the juice of her blood cascading down it.

She bit down on her lower lip as his cold pale red lips pressed against her skin, making her feel a myriad of alien sensations as she felt a pool of hotness in her lower abdomen.

In the moment of the surge of sensations she felt, a sharp pain made her eyes shoot open abruptly as she felt his sharp fangs digging into her skin, her senses suddenly ignited awake back to reality.

She jolted backward as soon as she felt his fangs on her skin, heart racing in dread as she pulled back reflexively, feet sliding back against the floor until her back was pressing against the wall.

Although he had barely bitten her, as his fangs had only grazed her skin, his red eyes were sparking like a thousand bolts ran through them the moment a trickle of her blood coated his tongue, threatening his demons to overpower him and engulf his senses with bestial desires.

Her blood filled with innocence and purity tasted like heaven, it was an insatiable taste that left him yearning for more. He had never tasted anything as exquisite as hers, only a drop that could make him lose his rationality.

He wondered what would have happened if he had dug his fangs into her veins, it would undoubtedly break any chain of rationality he had, it was a risk he wasn’t willing to take, because if he did, he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from hurting her, the innocent fragile flower that was now flailing and shaking in fear.

Her cheeks were flushed with a deep tinge of pink crawling over her nose, her body was slightly trembling as she stood farther away from him, refusing to meet his eyes in what he could smell emanating from her to be fear and shame. His eyes narrowed to the trail of crimson from the tiny pores in her neck.

He shoved his hand in his pocket, bringing out a kerchief he tossed to her.

"Get out." He said coldly before disappearing from her sight, but her head was still lowered to the floor, so she had no idea where he disappeared to, but when she looked up, he was gone.

She fidgeted as she fiddled with her dress nervously, biting her fingers as she exited the room while dabbing the blood on her neck with the kerchief.

Even though they were no longer together, she could still feel his lingering cold featherlike touch grazing against her skin, his lips colliding against hers and his musky scent that left her in an ocean of reverie, it made her shudder.

She felt mortified as she walked down the hallway, face reddening in every second as she thought of what had transpired between her and lord Zamiel.

It felt wrong, willingly conforming to the embrace and touch of a vampire, but at the same time it felt right. She came across a few maids who were giving the side eyes as they eyed her with keen intent from head to toe.

She avoided their gaze like the plague as she hastened her movement while scurrying out of their presence, she was extremely mortified to face anyone, especially Rama whom she was sure would give her a scolding about being with a night creature, talk less being in an intimate embrace with lord Zamiel.

She cringed with every step she took until she reached her room in the maid’s quarters.

She opened the door and her soul almost disappeared from her body when her eyes narrowed to Rama sitting on the bed.

"Rama." She blurted out in utter shock, cheeks turning redder than a tomato as Rama’s stern gaze scrutinized her from head to toe.

Malika tried to make her countenance neutral and void of any emotion that would give her out to Rama.

"I spoke to Madam Eleanor about the maids, they won’t be a bother anymore and if they still persist, they’ll face the consequences." Rama stated out firmly.

"Ah, t-thank you so much." Malika stuttered, avoiding her gaze with a nervous smile.

Rama moved closer to her, cupping her small face in her palm, tilting her head up to look her straight in the eyes, but her gaze wavered.

"What’s wrong Malika?" Rama asked with creased brows in a concerned tone as she observed her uneasiness.

Malika wondered why Rama had to be present at that precise moment after doing something forbidden with a vampire, but oddly, she didn’t harbor any regrets.

"I’m fine." Malika said with a low voice as she feigned a smile to graze her lips, but Rama’s brows only furrowed darker when her gaze momentarily dropped to her bare neck where the bite mark was faintly visible.

"What’s that on your neck?" Rama queried in a furious tone, uncoated anger lingering heavily in her voice, while Malika closed and opened her mouth, unable to form words.

"Did a vampire bite you?!" Rama snapped, fury burning in her jade eyes. She wasn’t worked up about being bitten, but Malika was rather like her younger sister, it was hard to see her getting hurt when she was there to protect her from harm.

"It was only a graze, Lord Zamiel stopped before he could bite me." Malika explained while Rama shot her a confused look.

"Lord Zamiel bit you?" She queried but before the girl could speak she interrupted.

"You should be careful, I don’t want to see you getting hurt or used as a blood bag for the night creatures." Rama said in a coaxing tone as she stroked her golden locks gently.

"He wasn’t hurting me." Malika said under her breath, but Rama caught the words.

"He will hurt you, he probably wasn’t hungry yet." Rama snapped, enunciating on her words firmly.

"He’s not like that, at least he stopped on my accord. He may seem like a bad person, but maybe he’s not." She couldn’t understand why he compelled her, but it didn’t seem like he hated her, rather it seemed like he was protecting her from himself and his darkness.
