Chapter 311: Intimidating Or Seductive
Stepping out of the dressing room, Rama was clad in an exquisite emerald gown with a low V-neckline exposing her supple cleavage.
She caught Draco swallowing nervously when his eyes screened her from head to toe, her hair was tied in a messy bun with loose tendrils and the beautiful dress hugged her in all the right places to accentuate her curves.
It felt as if he was seeing her again for the first time in a millennia, he missed every inch of her, the way she smelled, her radiating smile and the defiance in her jade eyes.
He could watch her forever, hold her for an eternity in his arms, there was nothing more he wanted to do but stay beside her and revel in her presence, but unfortunately, he was now a stranger to her.
"You should refrain from being lustful toward me, I barely know you so obviously I wouldn’t let you touch me even though everyone claims that you were my husband." Rama noted, but he was as blank as a piece of paper, staring at her with a lost gaze, but it wasn’t lustful rather it was that of a dazzled man mesmerized by her beauty.
"Let’s have breakfast." He said with a tepid countenance that was contrasting to the allured look in his eyes.
Stepping out of the room, they moved to the dining hall while she followed behind, screening every nook and cranny of the castle, but as they strode down the corridor, they came across someone.
Her jade eyes narrowed down to the familiar stranger in front of them. He was the same vampire she had encountered back in the Silver Witch’s castle. The shallow eyes and stoic mask clouding his demeanor was uncanny. His aura was different, cold and empty like a void of nothingness, but also menacing.
Although, Draco’s aura was suffocating with melancholy and the air around him rippled with darkness, he was rather warm to her unlike the familiar strange vampire who emitted only chills in his presence. She couldn’t help but wonder who he was, but there seemed to be a mysterious link connecting them together.
"You! I remember you from the white witch castle." Rama blurted out and the strange vampire’s eyes lazily dropped on her, as empty as a sinkhole with no whiff of emotion.
"He’s Zamiel, my right hand man." Draco noted to her.
"You must have known who I was back in the castle, so why did you pretend as if you had no idea of who I was?" Rama queried, her brows furrowing in displeasure.
"We were never close, there’s no need to fret about it." Zamiel said with a bored look. His expression was an enigma, giving nothing away of his thoughts.
"You’re both just as arrogant." She scoffed with rolling eyes as she stomped out on them, while Draco easily caught up to her as he took long strides while watching her from behind with a wistful smile on his lips, his eyes glimmered with adoration.
Even a simple gesture from her such as walking elicited a spark in his heart, to see her alive and well again after being separated was more than a deserving second chance. Without her, his world would have returned to a darkness it could never fathom.
Watching her from behind with a possessive glint in his eyes, every movement from her was deeply etched into his mind, the soft flailing of her hair, the billowing of her gown and the swaying of her hips. Every single thing about her held him captive in an enthralled land.
"The dining hall is over here." Draco said as he pulled her toward the door. His hands brushing against hers for a split second stimulated a palpable charge between them.
The feel of her warm skin against his spurred the demons within him to wake from their slumber, but he controlled himself for her, despite being her husband, he was still a stranger to her so he shoved the thought at the back of his mind even though it was difficult.
Walking in, they took their seats while the maids served the delicacies.
Rama was drowning in curiosity to figure out the entire truth behind her past, but she didn’t want to rush into it so she decided to eat a little before engaging into the truth.
As she ate, she could feel his piercing gaze on her even as her eyes were on her food. Feeling his unwavering stares on her crumbled her confidence, her hands trembled slightly and she almost lost the ability of how to eat.
Whipping her face toward him, she finally snapped at him "Stop staring at me or I’ll stop eating."
A sardonic smirk faintly brushed his lips "And why should I?"
"Because you’re intimidating and it’s really uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong, you have beautiful eyes but they’re also the most fearful I’ve seen." Rama spilled out the truth.
"Ahh, I see." He nodded but he was still staring, his burning eyes boring into hers, like molten lava melting into emerald.
"You’re still staring, could you look away please?" She stated out impulsively as she felt her erratic heart skip more beats than she could count.
Averting her gaze, she fiddled with her hair as she flickered her gaze down in nervousness.
It didn’t help that his eyes were like twin orbs of inescapable gravity pulling her to the desires swirling within and she feared that she might not be able to resist, the thought of succumbing to his seductive gaze spurred anger within her.
It was wrong to be attracted to such an arrogant man who also cruelly murdered Dalen with no remorse, but at the same time it felt oddly right.
She felt guilty for even finding him sexually attractive after what he had done, but she comforted herself with the fact that they were mates, so rather than blaming herself she blamed it on nature.
"Yes my eyes are intimidating to you, but not as much as they seduce you, am I wrong love?" Draco suddenly remarked, breaking the space of her thought.
Her breath hitched and like a criminal who had been caught clear handed in a crime, guilt fleeted across her gaze as she fluttered her lashes.
"That is an outrageous assumption to make. Just because you look attractive doesn’t make me attracted to you, I’m more of repulsed especially after what you’ve done." She retorted sharply as she rolled her eyes.
"I can read your mind Rama and even without reading your mind, your body language tells me that you’re aroused." Draco blatantly stated out with a mischievous glint in his siren eyes.
Rama’s eyes widened like saucers as she heard him speak, her mouth opened and closed but only a gasp escaped.
She swallowed as she regained her composure before speaking "What sort of man are you? Telling me that you were my husband doesn’t change the fact that you’re still a stranger to me so could you please mind your vulgar words?" She implied as she shot him a skeptical look.
"Mind my words? What is vulgar about a wife being aroused by her husband? I don’t see a problem here." Draco said nonchalantly with a sinful grin crossing his lips.
"Not if I lost my memories, then you’re just a stranger to me. I doubt you’ll understand anyway, you’re haughty." She scoffed.
"Well then, do you deny the fact that you were aroused just earlier?" He drawled as he raised his brow questioningly with a smug look on his face.
"You’re impossible, how did I keep up with you and your arrogance?" She threw at him with an exasperated sigh.
"Your heartbeat escalated, your breath hitched, your body became heated, you couldn’t hold eye contact and you pressed your thighs together." He phrased out with a straight face and a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"What?" Her face twisted in confusion, but there was a knowing look in her eyes as she realized what he was pointing out.
He leaned back to rest on the chair "You were aroused Rama, I listened and observed."
"It’s creepy that you listen and observe the slightest change in my body, but unfortunately you’re still wrong, I wasn’t aroused, just intimidated." She argued.
"Should I check then?" He suddenly said with a wicked grin tearing through his luscious lips as he wriggled his fingers in front of her.
Her brows knitted together in confusion "Check what?"
"If you’re wet, love." He drawled, his siren eyes squinting at her and she saw his golden-red irises dilate for a split second.
Her lashes fluttered and a tinge of red spread over her cheeks like crimson dusts, staring at him with a puzzled look mixed with disbelief. If she hadn’t known how shameless and arrogant he was, she would have thought it was a tease, but he was dead serious.
He was a strange man, so strange she concluded he must have been dropped one too many times as a child.
"I won’t proceed on with this topic any longer, it’s uncomfortable." She said with a timid voice as she looked down at her hands clutching and unclutching her fingers nervously.
"Or rather because you might fail to resist." He teased.
"You won’t force me to...do it, will you?" She abruptly blurted out and his face turned serious.
