Chapter 304: My Demon

Chapter 304: My Demon

The demon’s form was swallowed in shadows, Rama could barely see his face, but only his glowing reddish-gold eyes burned through the darkness with a menacing power.

From a distance, she could feel the piercing chill emanating from his aura. Terror clogged the scream in her throat from being released out as she watched the demon in human form hold Dalen captive while he struggled with futile efforts to move.

She failed to believe that the monster in front of her was once her husband, how on earth had she encountered him and even went as far as getting married? She pondered in doubt.

His presence was a shroud of darkness that swallowed all light, rendering him an enigmatic silhouette amidst the shadows. The very essence of fear seemed to emanate from him, a chilling force that permeated the air and sent shivers down the spine of anyone who dared draw near.

Draco’s form was cloaked in the abyss, a sinister entity veiled in the folds of night itself. Only his eyes, burning orbs of reddish-golden flame, pierced through the inky blackness like molten embers. They glowed with an unearthly intensity, radiating an ancient and terrifying power that seemed to devour the surrounding darkness, leaving only an eerie luminescence in their wake.

His gaze was a haunting spectacle, captivating yet mind-crippling, a mesmerizing combination of infernal hues that bore into the very core of one’s soul. Those fiery eyes held the secrets of ages past, an abyssal knowledge that sent tremors of terror through the hearts of those unfortunate enough to meet his stare.

They held an unearthly intelligence, a cunning and calculating gaze that seemed to pierce through the very soul of anyone who dared meet his gaze.

The sudden guttural voice of her demon husband snapped her out of her thoughts as she looked toward his direction.

Her breath quivered when his flaming eyes bore right into hers and for a split second, they softened, but the moment he returned them to Dalen, they hardened with a callous glint flashing through.

Her eyes met Dalen’s crystal ones, he appeared to be apologizing through them as they held a tender look.

"How dare you look at my wife like that?" Draco snarled in a low, deep tone. The air reverberated with a palpable dread that slithered down her spine as he spoke.

"You should learn to take your eyes away from my possession and if you can’t, I’ll take it out for you." Draco growled in a menacing tone.

His hand swiftly seized his neck and hovering his other hand midair, his claws elongated but before Rama could process what was happening, with a swift, vicious motion, he drove his claws deep into his eyes, gouging out his eyeballs from their sockets.

From those depths of his malevolent act, a haunting laughter resonated, a cruel and magical sound that sent shivers down the spine of any who heard it. It was a laughter born of darkness itself, a symphony of chilling amusement that echoed through the forest, instilling a deep-seated fear that gripped the mind and crippled the senses.

Blood streamed down from Dalen’s gouged out eyes as he screamed with an agonizing shrill an fn the moment Rama realized, the cold hands of fear clamped her chest. Adrenaline streamed through her veins as she choked on her scream.

Her body suddenly felt like a pile of rock sinking under the ocean as she tried to move to him, but the grip of terror pinned her down in an immobile state.

Rama’s heart raced in her chest, its rhythm a frantic symphony echoing her mounting dread. A bitter taste of fear lingered in her mouth, bile rising in her throat as she bore witness to the unfolding horror. She struggled to swallow the lump of terror, her senses tingling with an overwhelming wave of panic.

Rama sensed his silent plea for strength and reassurance, a plea she yearned to answer but felt powerless to fulfill.

The scene unraveled before her eyes in a chilling slow-motion dance, every movement etching itself as a tormenting memory in Rama’s mind.

Dalen’s agonizing scream tore through her heart in the most bestial way, tears stung her eyes as they streamed down her face.

"As mercy, I’ll put you out of your misery." Draco intoned in a rather pleased voice as he reveled in his anguish state.

Rama, realizing what he meant screamed from the top of her lungs "No!! Please let him live, I’ll do whatever you want, I’ll go with you." Her voice cracked and broke into smattering pieces of fear.

"You’ll come with me either ways, love but unfortunately I can’t let him live, not when I know how he feels about you." Draco implied, leaving her dumbstruck.

A strange sensation rocked over her body, realizing he went berserk with murderous intent fueled by jealousy that another man had eyes on her. She felt a pinch of amusement at his maniacal behaviour, but at that moment she was too stricken with fear to see that as a romantic act, and moreover, Dalen’s life was on the line, she couldn’t watch him die.

"Please...just let him go, he’ll never see us again if we leave." She said, her breaths coming out in shallow gasps as she panted heavily.

"Caring about him only fuels my rage and letting him live will only fuel my rage more." Draco stated, his velvety, smooth voice echoed in a callous ring.

"No, please..." Her voice shattered under the undeniable weight of dread and sorrow.

Her eyes narrowed to Dalen who’s head hung low, almost lifeless as it swayed left and right in his kneeling position. Blood spewed out of his gouged out sockets, smearing his face red with blood.

His laboured breathing as he struggled for air tore her heart into pieces, guilt, trepidation and sorrow weighed heavily on her slender shoulders, dragging her down into the deepest depths of anguish.

Aurora had assured her that whatever awaited her would be optimistic, but no one prepared her for the devil himself. She was in no optimistic situation, she was terrified of the demon in front of her, the demon who appeared to be obsessed with her.

The sudden whoosh snapped her out of her thoughts as she narrowed her eyes at the demon.

Within the darkness that enveloped Draco’s hand, a flickering spark emerged, a manifestation of raw malevolence taking form. With an eerie hum, an obsidian blade materialized, coalescing from the void, its sleek surface gleaming with a sinister luster.

The blade, born from the depths of darkness, possessed an otherworldly aura, an inky blackness that seemed to swallow the very light around it. Its edge shimmered with an unnatural sheen, honed to a razor’s edge that whispered of unspeakable horrors and dreadful powers imbued within.

As Draco held the blade up, it radiated a palpable malevolence, as if it were a sentient entity eager to carry out its master’s darkest desires.

The next second that took place seemed too unreal for her brain to process it all. In a swift motion, his hand propelled downwards and the blade drifted across Dalen’s neck with a clean strike.

The atmosphere crackled with a feeling of pure wickedness, like lightning crackling in the air, casting a dark and dreadful cloak over the whole scene.

Rama’s heart hammered in her chest like a drum in a panic, its beat racing in tune with her growing fear. A sour taste of terror filled her mouth, making bile rise in her throat as she watched the terrifying event unfold. She struggled to catch her breath, her own fear mixing with the earthy smells of the forest.

The whole scene seemed to move in slow motion, every movement feeling like an eternity of torment etched into Rama’s mind. The slicing of his sword echoed through the forest, a chaotic and ominous noise foretelling an imminent tragedy. The sharp metallic smell of blood tainted the air, a brutal reminder of the unfolding horror.

Rama’s eyes widened in terror as Draco’s cruel blade sliced through his flesh, beheading Dalen with unforgiving accuracy, tearing away any hope. Time appeared to stand still as Dalen fell to the ground, lifeless and helpless while his decapitated head rolled on the floor. The sickening thud of his body hitting the ground reverberated in Rama’s ears, a sound that pierced her very soul.

Her senses overwhelmed her, a storm of despair engulfed her. The sight of Dalen’s motionless body on the ground, the metallic smell of blood mixing with the scent of crushed floated were underfoot, and the taste of salty tears streaming down her face, all swirled together in a whirlwind of agonizing sorrow.

Rama’s chest constricted with an intense pain, her breaths shallow and unsteady as if the air had turned against her. Tears blurred her vision, distorting the once vibrant colors around her into a bleak and sorrowful palette.

Her body trembled and her weak knees could no longer carry her weight as she slumped down on the floor.
