The Devil's Warrior Queen
Chapter 294: Illisionary Wall

Chapter 294: Illisionary Wall

"Wouldn’t it be nice to just live in a cottage in the forest?" Rama rhetorically asked.

"Hm." Dalen nodded while his attention was shifted away by her beauty.

"Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice living in the castle." She said with a hasty chuckle.

"It’s alright to have preferences." Dalen shrugged, bothered by the fact of her living in the castle.

"I was meaning to ask you, I don’t mean to pry but I was worried and it happened in a haste and we never spoke about it, but..." She blabbed, the words not making a sensible sentence.

His eyes squinted in confusion and she bit her lips in embarrassment for blabbing out without inwardly thinking.

"What do you mean to say Rama? You look tense." He remarked calmly, the resemblance between he and Aurora was uncanny, no wonder she felt at ease with either of them.

"Uhm, the other day, you were acting quite strangely." Her voice toned to a whisper at the last words.

Remembering what she was talking about, his brows furrowed, a flash of regret in his eyes as he proceeded to redirect the topic "It was..nothing."

"You kept pushing me away, I’d rather you told me what I did wrong, than you leaving me in the dark." She said, eager to find out the truth he was hiding behind those crystal eyes.

"I was in pain, it was nothing." He urged as he started walking away from her, while she scurried behind him.

"It’s so very obvious that it wasn’t nothing, did I do something wrong?" She pressed, slightly enjoying their little controversy as she giggled.

Hearing her giggle, he turned around and a grin tore through his face, his short hair framed his face perfectly, he indeed looked like a perfectly sculpted art work.

"You find it funny?" He scoffed sarcastically.

"Of course not, but I indeed find it skeptical that you’re hiding something from me." She said thoughtfully as she rubbed her chin with a smirk.

"Have fun thinking, I’m not hiding anything from you, you’re just overthinking." Dalen said in a flat tone.

For a split moment there, she almost believed there was nothing beneath the surface, but with her heightened observant trait, she could comprehend how tensed he was by the topic from his uneasy body movement.

"I can’t help but have the urge to figure it out, especially when you keep denying it so flatly, now my curiosity is greatly piqued." Rama remarked with pursed lips.

He merely sighed as he continued walking down a trail. Even with being injured, he was far more energetic than her.

He effortlessly climbed down a sloppy valley, while she lingered around, looking for a safer way to climb down.

"Where are we going? This place doesn’t look safe, let’s take another route." She complained with pouted lips.

"If we take another route, we’ll never reach our destination. This is the right path." Dalen ushered for her to come along as he extended his hand to her, but her brows knitted in disapproval as she flinched back.

"It’s too slippery, I’ll fall and I can’t jump either." She said.

"I’ll carry you." He offered.

Her lashes fluttered "Of course not, you’re hurt." She pointed out.

"Just come over, there’s something I want to show you." He insisted as he moved closer to her.

Nodding, she crouched down while he smoothly carried her down with a swift action.

"Thank you." She mumbled.

"What do you want to show me?" She queried as she walked behind him.

"You’ll see for yourself." He said, not uttering anymore while she quietly followed him in anticipation as they wandered through the forest trail.

At first glance, a seemingly impenetrable wall stood as a formidable obstruction, shrouded in an enchantment that rendered it insurmountable to all who dared approach.

Yet, the barrier, though daunting, was not a physical blockade, it was a meticulously crafted facade of magic, masking the existence of a hidden paradise beyond the perception of ordinary eyes.

The wall appeared as an imposing structure, woven from the very essence of the forest itself. Vines twist and entwine, forming an intricately patterned lattice that seems to stretch endlessly in all directions. Moss-covered stones, adorned with luminescent symbols of forgotten languages, add an air of ancient mystique to the barrier. One might mistake it for an impenetrable fortress guarding some long-lost treasure, its aura of secrecy and grandeur commanding reverence from those who chance upon its presence.

To the unwitting air, the enchanted barrier emits an illusionary effect, casting an illusion of impenetrability upon the senses.

As they drew near, an invisible force field materialized, projecting an illusion of solid, immoveable walls, impeding any attempt to breach its confines.

Branches rustled in a ghostly warning, dissuading intruders from pursuing their curiosity. Yet, those attuned to the whispers of the mystical and the whimsical nature of the woods may discern the faint hum of latent magic woven within this deceptive veil.

Behind the formidable illusion lies an ethereal haven, the secret garden coveted by few and known to even fewer.

"What is this?" Rama queried in uncertainty as she surveyed the wall which was rather strange, it was well perceptible to her that it was no mere wall. The air cloaking it pulsated and writhed with a tranquil energy.

"Let’s find out." He said with an impish smile tugging his lips up.

He suddenly held her hand, leaving her slightly startled by his unexpected gesture but before she could react, he pulled her into the wall.

Upon breaching the threshold of the illusory obstruction, the facade dissipated like morning mist under the gentle caress of the sun.

What was once an impenetrable wall faded into wisps of ephemeral enchantment, unveiling an enchanting spectacle beyond imagination. A serene, otherworldly garden materialized before her sight, bathed in ethereal light that dances among the foliage, casting prismatic hues upon the verdant landscape.

Shock masked her face as she hadn’t fully recuperated from the fact that they had just went through an illusionary wall, but her state of confusion was momentarily paused as she scrutinized the scenery in front of her.

The secret clearing is a place veiled in mystery, shrouded by the whispering branches of towering trees that seem to guard its existence. The entryway to the elusive haven was concealed by an intricate tapestry of foliage, almost imperceptible to the untrained eye. A single narrow path, lined with moss-covered stones, winds its way through the thick underbrush, inviting those who dare to venture forth into the unknown.

As one ventures deeper into the heart of the forest, a sense of enchantment begins to envelop them. The air seemed to shimmer with a tranquil energy, as if the very atmosphere holds secrets waiting to be unveiled. The foliage gradually thins, revealing glimpses of an otherworldly radiance that beckons from beyond the trees.

Emerging from the shadows of the woodland, the they step into a breathtaking scene, a secret garden bathed in ethereal light. The clearing was an oasis of serenity, alive with vibrant colors and an otherworldly aura. Flowers of every hue imaginable bloom profusely, their delicate petals swaying in a gentle, unseen breeze. The fragrance of blossoms permeates the air, mingling with the sweet scent of dew-kissed grass.

A meandering stream, its crystalline waters sparkling in the dappled sunlight, flows gracefully through the heart of the garden. Its melodious babbling creates a soothing symphony that seems to harmonize with the natural rhythm of the surroundings. Small, intricate bridges crafted from interwoven vines span the stream, inviting visitors to explore further.

Ancient, gnarled trees stood sentinel around the perimeter, their branches adorned with twinkling luminescent orbs that illuminate the garden with a soft, mystical glow. The interplay of light and shadow creates a surreal ambiance, as if time itself behaves differently within this secluded haven.

But what truly captivated the eye was the centerpiece of this clandestine sanctuary, a towering, celestial tree, its branches stretching skyward in an elegant dance. The tree, resplendent with leaves that shimmer like stars against an azure sky, exudes an aura of quiet wisdom and ancient knowledge. Its trunk bears intricate carvings, telling tales of forgotten lore and lost wisdom.

Throughout the garden, hidden alcoves and cozy nooks offer refuge for contemplation or quiet conversation. Stone benches, adorned with intricate floral patterns, provide a tranquil spot for visitors to sit and immerse themselves in the garden’s serene beauty.

The garden existed in a state of perpetual tranquility, where time seemed to stand still, and the laws of the mundane world held no dominion. Flowers of vibrant hues, unseen by mortal eyes, bloomed in harmonious arrangement, emitting fragrances that transport one’s senses to realms of pure bliss. Trees adorned with leaves of shimmering silver sway in a melody orchestrated by the whispers of the wind.

Ponds of liquid crystal mirror the azure sky above, hosting ethereal butterflies that flutter their sparkly wings and glide with an effortless grace, their forms radiant with an otherworldly luminescence. Arcane symbols etched into the very fabric of this sanctuary hum with latent magic, infusing the air with a palpable sense of mystic energy.

In this hidden paradise, a sense of peace and serenity pervades, nurturing the spirit and soothing the weary soul.
