The Devil's Warrior Queen
Chapter 199: Transition

Chapter 199: Transition

"She’ll turn into a vampire?" Malika queried with stupefaction, her face suddenly turning solemn as she spoke.

He nonchalantly said "Yes" not in the least fazed.

She gulped, it would be a drastic change if Rama turned into one of them. She feared that she might become an entirely different person, that what they had might be greatly modified because of her new identity as a vampire.

Either ways, she would be losing her forever, it made her chest tighten painfully, she wasn’t the one being turned but she wasn’t ready for the change yet. Everything was transpiring in an extensive manner and in a short period of time without her delicate mind and heart being able to fully take it all, she felt trapped in a suffocating space.

As if finding out the mysteries surrounding her birth that she was an offspring of Angel Michael’s lineage wasn’t enough, now Rama had to be turned into a night creature, the same paranormal beings she had cursed on their existence.

"Worry not, it’s for the best. She’ll not only be turned into a night creature, she’ll become stronger and powerful enough to protect herself from his enemies. It also has its perks." Zamiel stated out.

She looked at him with blank eyes, suddenly noticing how strange it was for lord Zamiel, the stoic and cold vampire lord to comfort her.

"Why?" She blurted out in a low breath and his brows raised up questioningly.

"Why what?" He queried.

"Why are you here, comforting me?" She confidently spouted her thoughts out.

Silence hung in the air for a second, he smacked his lips before answering "You should get some rest." He said with a cold demeanor as he jolted up his feet.

She could feel the intensifying pressure as it rippled through his dark aura, but despite his stiffened, unfeeling countenance that usually rattled her weak defences of boldness, she sprouted up on her feet after him, determined to get an answer to unravel whatever secrets he was keeping discreetly from her.

"I thought I was overreacting, but its clear that you’re hiding something from me, whatever it is, I’m definitely certain it is somehow connected to my memories, I feel like I’m missing something, but its hard to comprehend, like a void that’s struggling to be filled up but still, its not." She implied, unwavering eyes sealed into his as she waited for his response.

"Whatever you’re feeling is called sexual attraction, I’m attracted to your body and so are you, there’s no sort of witchcraft or memory alteration involved." Zamiel said in a clipped tone.

His persuasive words almost made her fall prey to his misconception, at that moment, she was almost in a waging war between the lingering truth in her head and the falsehoods coming from her mouth.

"That’s not true, you’re lying and you’re very good with it, but I won’t fall for your lies." She stated out firmly.

He scoffed "I don’t care what you believe, you can leave my chamber now." He said with a straight face and her confidence suddenly dwindled.

"I asked you earlier what you were to me and you said, I was yours and you were mine. I find it hard to believe that you would say those words to someone you were merely physically attracted to." She said, her final argument that she could keep up with.

He stated silent for a moment, his mere silence made her confidence sky rocket as it was obvious she had struck a cord of truth, and there was no way to doubt it.

His jaws ticked "Fine, wanna know the truth?" He queried and her eyes enlarged with curiosity as she nodded frantically, eager to hear him spill, but no matter how hard she thought, she could never guess what would roll off his lips.

"You’re my mate and you asked Damien to compel you and erase your memories of me because I made you heartbroken, since you’re aware, now you may leave my chamber." He said with a steely hard voice, not a flicker of emotion or warmth could be traced in it.

Her lashes fluttered, she was slightly in doubt but now that the truth had been revealed to her knowledge, she could now understand the strange connection she felt between them and the electric charge in the air whenever their lips met or their skin brushed.

But then, the only regret she felt was erasing her memories, the sense of loss of what they had both shared in the past pricked her skin, she hated that she had to make such a decision, but then, she was curious on their shared memories.

She couldn’t help but wonder how deeply in love they had been.

"Don’t worry, it was just starting to bloom, I hadn’t even marked you yet." He said nonchalantly and she looked up at him with wide eyes.

Stretching his hand toward the door, he said again "You may leave now, Miss Malika, its bedtime."

With a frown and a disgruntled expression she nodded with a forced smile "Yes, Lord Zamiel. Goodnight." She meekly said, her timid countenance coming back, but as she took a step toward the exit, she felt his large hand wrap around her slender waist as he pulled her with an intense force, making her back hit against his hard chest, but then he released her and exited the chambers instead, while she watched him in confusion.

---------

As Draco placed her gently on the bed, he stared at her body in a lost state, oblivious of both Zamiel’s and Malika’s presence until they left.

Her blood seeped into the white sheets, staining them to a crimson hue, his blood boiled in intensifying rage the more he watched her in her lifeless state, but it was hard to tear his eyes off her.

Moving erratically, he took hold of a dagger and without wasting anymore time, he slashed his palm. Hovering his bleeding palm above her mouth, his blood trickled out of the cut as it dripped into her slightly parted mouth.

As his blood sufficed her mouth, he withdrew his healing hand and watched with a suspenseful gaze and bated breath as she went through the phase of transformation.

As his blood streamed into her system, the mating bond linked her blood together with his, recognizing the other fragment of his bonded soul like the symphony of light and darkness as they entwined. His powerful blood surged within hers as it coursed through her veins, igniting every single cell in her body with a new potent power.

Spreading throughout her entire body as she underwent the dominating transition, her dead heart was rekindled with an electric wave of life as it beat with a vibrant pulse. It was a new essence of the profound change spurring within her, a change that defied the logic of her human nature, a change that tore through space and impenetrable dimensions of the supernatural.

He watched as she lay unmoving and then after a short moment of silence, her lacerated flesh squelched as it stitched itself back together, her torn flesh closed up, healing perfectly with not a single graze on her skin.

A golden luster slowly spread over her pale skin, returning back her lost skin glow and her pale chapped lips suddenly took in a bright red sheen and a glossy texture. Every feature she possessed attained a definite sharpness similar to that of a vampire’s.

And as she underwent the transition, a soft breath escaped her lips. He frantically rushed over to her, cupping her face in his palms, he whispered "Rama?" But there was no reply as she was still unconscious.

He could hear the faint rhythmic beating of her heart along with the rising and falling of her chest as she inhaled and exhaled softly, indicating the rebirth of her new life.

Merely seeing her alive again was beyond enough for him, a faint smile crossed his lips as he kissed her on the forehead while whispering into her ears "I’m sorry for letting you get hurt, but it won’t happen again."

He stroked her cheeks smeared with a bit of her blood and then, he carried her gently in his arms as he went into the washroom to clean her up. With gentle movements, he stripped her clothes off and washed her clean.

The blood swirled with the water as it flowed into the drain while he cleaned off every bit of dirt on her till she was sparkly clean.

Drying her up, he dressed her up in clean clothes and then placed her gently on the bed. She was still unconscious as the transition was not entirely complete yet. He watched her, unmoving from his position as he sat still by her side, waiting for her to regain consciousness.

As the world took its breath with every passing second, a new identity was formed as the phenomenal blood of the devil’s son merged into the blood of his mate, recreating a new life from within, a new essence and a new rebirth that threatened even the realms of both the heavens and hell.
