Chapter 183: Faerie Tales

Chapter 183: Faerie Tales

Rama gasped in marvel at the sight she beheld. Tales of the Faeries along with other supernatural beings had been told, but the faeries being the weakest link and the rarest of the supernatural beings to come across made them unique beings to explore.

Amongst the supernatural beings, the faeries earned more favors from the human race as a result of their benevolence and tender heart, but their mischievous nature was something to be queried on.

As the harmonious music enveloped the secret clearing, faint happy clamors erupted from the little people as they danced and hopped around happily, arms locked, their glowing hairs swayed gently with their movements and their multicolored transparent wings fluttered with the sunlight reflecting on it.

As Rama leaned in a bit to get a closer look at the magical creatures, she accidentally stepped on a twig and the snapping sound suddenly alerted the Faeries.

The music abruptly stopped, turning the colorful gathering to a haze of confusion mixed with prudence. The faeries in a unified symphony, whipped their heads toward where the sound had come from.

Rama couldn’t even hide if she wanted to, they had already caught sight of her. On seeing her, their expressions were neutral, but when their eyes dropped on the figure behind her, she saw the color drain from their faces, their eyes widened in petrification as their mouths opened agape.

"Demon!!!" A green-haired Faerie screamed in a terrified, ear piercing, shrill cry.

In the next moment, the happy gathering was upturned into a state of frenzy as the faeries flew around, their wings fluttering rapidly as they took flight into shelter, delving deeper into the forests.

As they flew around in a state of delirium, the sight of them flying with agitation and terror made the scenery look like a burst of rainbow dust as a result of their multicoloured wings and hair.

She hadn’t even realized Draco was no longer behind her as she was engrossed in the picture before her, not until she saw him holding a Faerie by the wings, trapped between his thumb and index fingers.

Although the rest of the Faeries had sped off and taken shelter in a secluded place, but he had caught one. The forest fell into silence as the Faeries disappeared in a flash, only the constant squeal coming from the caught Faerie echoed softly in the breeze.

Astonished, she went closer to get a better look at it as she examined it. It seemed angry as it thrashed its limbs midair in Draco’s hold, unable to escape as he caught her by the wings, her shimmering silver etched wings fluttered with streaks of black veins on it as she struggled to free herself but it was futile in the grip of the demon.

Her skin was as black as midnight, gleaming like the ebony as if she was sculpted from obsidian stone itself. Her hair was ladled in a silvery hue as if her locks were dipped in stardust. Her silver orbs shimmered like the moon resided within them, she was the embodiment of a silver goddess or more technically Faerie.

Draco laughed wickedly as he poked her "I warned you little insects to stay out of everything in my possession, including the forests, the water and the land, yet you still play your mischievous games with me."

The silver Faerie shrieked more loudly, fear evident in her silver eyes but she managed to conceal it with her tiny confidence "Let go of me you demon!"

"Draco let go of her, you’re hurting her." Rama implied, but Draco didn’t budge.

"They need to learn a lesson or they’ll never learn. It’s time they learned the hard way." Draco said in an impassive tone.

"Please just let them go..." She pleaded, but still he proceeded to rip off her wings.

"For me." She added in a low voice as she heard the heart melting whimper of pain from the Faerie.

Draco sighed deeply before giving up, but still he didn’t let go of the Faerie ensnared in his hold

"Come out or I’ll not only rip her little wings off, but also her head." Draco threatened in a deafening growl that echoed through the forest, obviously directed to the hidden Faeries.

She hoped inwardly they would do as he wished knowing he wouldn’t give in to her plea if they disobeyed him, after all they had breached the boundary separating the Fae kingdom and the vampire kingdom. The air stilled with silence, and no response was elicited from the hidden Faeries whatever.

As Draco proceeded to rip off her wings, just then she heard the leaves rustling and the soft fluttering of wings as they emerged from their hideouts.

Peeking out from behind the trees, curious eyes stole looks at them, portraying the mischievousness of their nature, some stood atop tree branches, others sat on rocks, and she could sense the weight of gloom on their tiny shoulders as their face fell in guilt while starting at their own kind being caught by the demon.

Before Draco could speak and warn them like she anticipated him to, she intersected with a bright chuckle as she forcefully took hold of the faerie in Draco’s grip, his brows creased but he didn’t react.

The Faerie felt cold to the touch as she held her in her cupped palms ever so gently as she felt fragile.

"I apologize for the misunderstanding, I’m the new queen of Voltaire Kingdom and wife to the demon, and I’m making a new rule, from today henceforth you’re all welcome to any part of the kingdom." Rama declared while swiftly shooting a side glare at Draco as if daring him to oppose her rule, but rather than opposing, he smiled sheepishly.

Soft whispers arose from the small crowd of Faeries, wonder and confusion masking their faces as they exchanged glances.

Carefully placing the Faerie on a rock, she freed her and the Faerie curtsied with a bow and the others followed, all bowed in unison and a unified clap resounded from the Faeries with a delighted holler.

Unexpectedly, the harmonious music erupted again to brighten up the vicinity and as if nothing had transpired earlier, they all danced happily in a merry ring.

The silver Faerie, as she named her suddenly flew towards her with a crown made of beautiful flowers and wore it atop her head. The other Faeries swooned and giggled at her sight before tugging a tiny piece of her dress as they pulled her towards the dance floor.

She excitedly joined them and she saw a few others approach Draco with slight hesitation before pulling him toward Rama for a dance, he was about to refuse but Rama grabbed him, preventing his escape, and reluctantly he gave in.

His raven-black hair cascaded like an obsidian waterfall, caressing his shoulders danced with the wind as he moved with an unmatched grace, a stark contrast to his piercing crimson ember eyes, which burned with an otherworldly fire. As they danced, a tempestuous tango, their movements were poetry in motion, the embodiment of passion and forbidden desire.

Beside him, Rama, with her own flowing midnight hair that swayed like the tendrils of a shadow, and her eyes, vibrant like the rarest of jewels, were a mesmerizing shade of jade as blissful fire ignited in them. Their embrace was a dance of longing and electric connection as if they were the very essence of yin and yang, entwined in a sensual ballet that defied the laws of nature.

Amidst this beguiling dance, the forest was a playground for tiny Faeries, each adorned with hair that shimmered in a kaleidoscope of colors, their transparent wings flickering with hues that mirrored the wildest dreams. They flitted about like living rainbows, weaving their magic through the air, a silent chorus of nature’s most enchanting creations.

The Faeries’ delicate laughter and harmonious songs harmonized with the passionate rhythm of the Devil’s Son and his mate, casting a spell that transcended time and space. It was a moment of pure, unadulterated enchantment, a vision of beauty that could only exist in the realm of dreams and desires.

Reeling in the moment of heartfelt laughter and a genuine sense of tranquility, she savored the moment of solace she found being in Draco’s arms as he swayed her gently, her gown billowed softly in the wind with every graceful twirl.

He watched her in a dazed state as she laughed watching the unique creatures make merry, her laughter rang like wind chimes on a sunny day, and he could hear her heart pound softly in excitement.

Her face radiated with bliss as she watched the Faeries who didn’t seem as though they had a problem in the world while they danced away, it was a nice feeling and she wished inwardly that she would be able to have such a level of serenity in her life.

She turned to face Draco, only for her to catch him staring with an unwavering gaze, fully engrossed in her. Avoiding his eye contact, her gaze flickered to the ground, and a blush crept up her cheeks.
