Chapter 121: Married To The Devil’s Son II
Malika stood frozen to the ground, shock and bewilderment washing down her entire being as she witnessed the inexplicable change of event transpiring before her eyes.
From the moment they began walking down the aisle, her gaze narrowed to the supposed groom expected to be lord Damien standing on the altar, but rather her gaze fell on the vampire king standing on the altar with a wicked grin on his face.
She was too stricken with shock to speak, she couldn’t comprehend the situation of what was occurring at the moment, but it was blatantly clear that Rama was no longer getting married to lord Damien but the King.
As an insignificant creature living in the midst of the night creatures, she fell tightlipped, not pointing out the obvious that she was getting married to the wrong groom and no one else seemed to notice, or probably they had no say in the matter and didn’t care.
Shocked, she stood behind the bride, watching the wedding between them take place. Her gaze randomly swept the crowd, she wondered why they weren’t startled when they were undoubtedly invited to lord Damien’s wedding, but met the King as the groom instead.
Her gaze momentarily dropped on lord Zamiel seated at the front row, their gazes locked for a split moment and then, she saw him look away. She wouldn’t have been able to realize who he was if not for the stoic expression on his face.
She shrugged it aside as she looked away and paid attention to the strange union taking place before her, and then the cleric announced them to finally kiss. She gulped.
Wasn’t this insanity or what? She thought inwardly as she watched with stupefaction, she might have been the only one astounded by the union in the wedding hall.
Many questions raced through her mind, unfortunately she wouldn’t be getting any answers until the wedding would finally be over and she could talk with Rama who was equally not startled by the change of her groom.

His luscious lips melting into hers made her brain turn mush, she could barely keep her mind straight or her feet stable on the ground, thankfully he was supporting her with one strong arm wound around her waist and the other cupping her face.
The entire hall fell silent as they drowned in their kisses. As she succumbed to the irresistible taste of his lips, the kiss suddenly broke, leaving her panting for air as she looked up at him with dazed eyes. She hadn’t realized she was holding her breath until she sucked air into her airless lungs.
She was still in a slightly lost state as she savoured the taste of his lips while subconsciously licking her slightly swollen lips, his intoxicating spicy scent didn’t help her in gaining her composure, it was a scent sweet to inhale but toxic to her senses.
She sucked in air sharply into her lungs as she heard the resounding applause emanating from the crowd, she avoided everyone else gazes as she walked down the aisle with Draco by her side, their arms locked together but eventually, he had to be separated from her as the maids proceeded to prepare her for the wedding banquet.
The maids changed her swiftly in a different room, out of her wedding gown into a stunning ivory gown which was easier to wear and more comfortable to be garbed in rather than the heavy wedding dress. It clung to her body not too tightly, but enough to accentuate her beautiful curves to all’s sight.
Everyone gathered to the main hall were the after party would commence, she could hear the mournful dark music erupting from within as she strode into the hall, arm in arm with Draco who didn’t seem like he would let her out of his sight for one second, to the extent he’d been waiting for her outside the dressing room until she was done.
Malicious red gazes fixated on her, side eyes shot her way as they stepped into the banquet hall. Beneath the ancient stone spires that pierced the night sky, the dinner after-party of the unholy union between the immortal Vampire King and his mortal bride unfolded with eerie splendor.
A grand banquet hall, dimly lit by flickering candlelight, played host to the otherworldly celebration.
Blood-red roses and black lilies adorned obsidian tables, their petals glistening as if kissed by moonlight. Goblets crafted from the finest crystal, filled with crimson liquid, beckoned guests to partake in a toast to eternity.
The rich aroma of human delicacies tantalized the senses, a daring fusion of mortal fare and vampiric desires.
Guests, dressed in opulent attires, mingled with a grace that seemed to defy gravity, their skin pale as alabaster. Rama, radiant in her ivory gown, tread with prudence at the sinister gazes from her known and unknown enemies.
As the night unfolded, a haunting melody emanated from a harp played by a phantom-like musician, setting the rhythm for eternal waltzes on the dance floor.
Above the revelry, crimson banners with the royal crest of a dragon hung, bearing witness to the union that defied the natural order. And beyond the hall’s arched windows, a moon hung low in the inky sky, casting an ethereal glow over the unholy festivities, a haunting reminder that this was a love that dared to defy the universe.
They sat at an obsidian table, in the middle of the hall with just about enough chair to seat at least ten individuals from both sides.
Draco sat at the head table, while she sat beside him with delicious delicacies greeting her sight. As if her brain had been rebooted, she jerked out of her seat, eyes scrutinizing the hall for someone, for Malika the fragile flower.
"Where’s Malika?" She exclaimed with slight panic lingering in her voice.
"Seat love, she’s alright." Draco said, his tone commanding but assuring.
She looked at him with squinted eyes before slowly seating back down. As soon as she sat back down, familiar faces started trooping towards them, first it was the demons and then, Damien’s mother followed, each taking a seat uninvited with either crooked smiles or undeniable detest in their eyes.
Damien’s mother took a seat opposite her, making her gaze momentarily lock with the displeased woman.
"It’s such a shame that the planned wedding didn’t go through, I’d be happy about it but my son’s happiness matters more." Ideria spoke, breaking the silence. She was cautious in choosing her words to avoid enraging Draco, one wrong word from her and she knew he wouldn’t hesitate to separate her head from her neck.
"It’s such a shame really, but if there’s anyone to reprimand for the failure, I’d happily blame it on Draco." Rama said with a straight face as she glared at Draco from her side eye.
Silence reigned for a short moment at her blatant reply, dry sense of humour, and her lack of regard to care enough to add his title.
"How disrespectful! You haven’t even been married for a day and you have such a foul attitude and disregard towards lord Draco." Onyx hissed, her face twisted in utter disgust at the human bride.
"Last time I checked neither your acknowledgement nor regards put you in the wedding dress still." Rama spouted out in a calm and drawled voice, mocking her but in a refined manner.
Onyx scoffed with a bitter chuckle, speechless by her unfazed remark as well as fuming with rage as she gritted her teeth.
"Wait until the devil rips you into shreds, that tongue of yours won’t be in its place anymore." Onyx growled beneath her breath as she stormed out of the banquet hall, her shoes clinking hard against the marble floor.
Rama, unbothered by her remark proceeded to eat the delicious meals in front of her that made her salivate, while shutting the world out. She had been starving, starving to the extent she could eat the entire banquet.
Meanwhile, Draco didn’t seem bothered by anyone else, as he kept his gaze fixated on her. Everyone bored him to death, but she piqued his interest in ways he couldn’t fathom and more so, by the bond bite that made their connections elevate into great heights, he had never presumed the bond bite would be that powerful.
As she ate, she heard Damien’s mother speak again, her tone somewhat cautious but heedful.
"She was right though, you should mind the tone you use in addressing the king, because being married to him doesn’t give you the right to cross your limits with him, he’s not one to tolerate such from anyone."
Rama swallowed the morsel of food down her throat, and taking a sip of the exquisite wine before giving her a snarky retort, she hadn’t meant to, but the word just rolled off her lips so delicately like smooth butter.
"You’re right Ideria, being married to the devil’s son comes with limits, but the bond bite sure is limitless." She said with a sarcastic smirk tugging the edges of her lips up.
