Chapter 526: True Master Of The Wolf

Meanwhile, in the lounge, Evanthe guided Oriana in the art of infusing her divine power into the herb pill, resulting in a successful creation.

"Why does it take on a green hue after I infuse my divine power, unlike the blue you created, lady Evanthe?" Oriana inquired, her curiosity piqued. "I did something or maybe?"

"It depneds on the elemental attribute of your divine power," Evanthe explained patiently. "Yours is of the wind, hence the green. Mine, being water-aligned, manifests as blue. Similarly, Fire yields red, Earth grants orange, Ice bestows light blue, Light emanates white, Dark projects purple, and Non-Elemental manifests as black, representing the power of darkness."

"I see. Thank you for your guidance," Oriana acknowledged gratefully.

"You can show your gratitude in a more tangible manner," Evanthe suggested with a playful glint in her eyes.

"How may I repay you?" Oriana inquired earnestly.

"Simply allow me to ensure your well-being," Evanthe replied, extending her hand towards Oriana.

Oriana placed her hand in Evanthe’s, silently praying that her secrets remained undiscovered and Evanthe would not discover anything wrong with her body and catch her lie. After a moment, Evanthe released her hand, her smile unwavering, indicating no cause for concern.

Exhaling a breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding, Oriana returned the smile.

"We’ll take our leave now. Should you require anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out."

"I will. Thank you both, Lady Evanthe and Lady Sierra," Oriana expressed her gratitude.

"You appear weary. Rest would serve you well," Evanthe gently suggested, her concern evident. "We’ll visit the white wolf Yorian mentioned."

Oriana assented with a nod. "She’s likely in the garden."

With silent agreement, the two women vanished from the lounge, reappearing amidst the verdant expanse. Their sights were graced with the view of beautiful while wolf standing in front of Alran and Yorian.

"She is beautiful," Evanthe commented while the wolf directly went to Sierra and sat in front of her wagging her tail acting cute and waiting to get her attention.

Arlan was surprised as it was not the way Snowflake behaved with others and that too in just the first meeting.

"Even though you are no longer a diety of Earth element, you still possess your power of taming any beast," Evanthe commented as she noticed how differently this wolf acted in front of Sierra.

Sierra extended her hand and patted Snowflakes head, gently caressing her soft fur, "You trully are so beautiful and magical."

"Do you sense her magical abilities, Sierra," Yorian asked as he explained what he found out till now.

Sierra nodded and looked at Evanthe, "There is more to what Yorian said."

"What might that be?"

"It’s about Oriana’s mother and her celestial companion," Sierra explained. "In the heavenly realm, Oriana’s mother possessed a magical white wolf as her companion. When she went to the Demon realm after marrying the Demon King’s son, her loyal companion accompanied her. However, upon her departure when the hellfire broke out, that wolf vanished as well. Magical beasts bound to their true masters are fated to vanish in their absence, their bond remains unbroken."

"Could Oriana be the rightful master of this wolf?" Evanthe pondered aloud. "Perhaps she shares a connection with her mother, akin to possessing a similar companion."

"We must ascertain if Snowflake can forge a bond with her. The likelihood is high," Sierra concluded thoughtfully.

Yorian chuckled softly, casting a knowing glance at Arlan. "I wonder how many other connections exist between you two, even preceding your births."

"I am curious as well," Arlan admitted.

Evanthe turned her attention to Yorian. "You’ve nurtured pets through your powers. Is there a way for you to train this wolf to harness her magical abilities?"

Yorian shook his head regretfully. "I wish I could, but it’s beyond my abilities," he explained. "The creatures I’ve raised weren’t inherently magical; they were ordinary cubs whom I infused with magic to cultivate them into magical beasts. It was more of a pastime for me. When I stumbled upon those defenseless cubs in need of care, I took them under my wing."

"In contrast, this white wolf is inherently magical, destined to find her true master," he continued. "Only the true master can unlock her magical potential. These magical beasts are meant to be with their true masters from birth, their magical abilities developing in tandem with their master’s needs."

"Our wolf has surpassed the stage of maturation, and now we can only hope she’ll soon find her master to develop her abilities," Yorian concluded. "However, someone has already triggered her magical capabilities today."

"Who?" Sierra inquired, her interest piqued.

"Oriana," Arlan answered. "When Oriana required healing, Snowflake seemed to assist in her recovery."

"Then, for now, we can presume Oriana to be her true master," Yorian suggested.

"If not me, then I’m more than relieved it’s Oriana," Arlan remarked with a sense of reassurance, "and helps her with her magical abilities."

"If Oriana truly is her master, it would be amusing to witness their telepathic conversations, leaving you out to fend for yourself," Yorian teased, a mischievous glint in his eye. "They could freely voice their grievances about not so pleasing personality."

"As long as they find joy in it," Arlan replied nonchalantly, seemingly unaffected. He had grown accustomed to Oriana’s occasional disparaging remarks and curses, finding them more entertaining than offensive.

Returning to a more pressing matter, Evanthe interjected, "I’ve examined Oriana’s body; she’s in a weakened state. She must have reason for lying to us so I did not expose her."

"We’ve discussed this," Yorian informed them. "Prince Arlan will proceed as I’ve suggested."

Evanthe acknowledged the plan with a nod before addressing the prince directly. "We must wait for her to recover before you mark her. Her condition isn’t dire yet, so we can afford to wait until the timing is optimal. Rushing the marking process would be unwise."

"You could use this time to strengthen your relationship with her," Sierra chimed in with a suggestion.

Arlan expressed his gratitude with a nod. "Thank you for your guidance and assistance."

He knew he needed time to cultivate a deeper connection with Oriana, a bond built on mutual trust and affection, where her hesitations and guilt would fade in the light of her love for him.
