Chapter 21: Chapter 21 Bad Girl

After hearing this, Zam immediately understood that he should prepare everything in the most romantic way and quickly took action.

On the other side, William Foster gently caressed a white rose hair clip and then dialed Clara Bennett’s number.

Seeing the caller ID, Clara Bennett quietly retreated to her room to answer the phone.

"What’s up?"

Clara asked.

William Foster: "My darling, when do you think we can start talking about getting married?"

Clara nonchalantly played with her hair, "Are you in such a hurry?"

"It does feel a bit long for me."

William Foster replied with a slight smile.

Clara raised an eyebrow and thought, "I haven’t really considered the specific terms of marriage yet."

William Foster suggested, "How about we meet up and discuss it while we think things through?"

Noticing the underlying meaning, Clara squinted and replied with a smile, "So you’re just looking for an excuse to meet me."

William Foster gave a gentle smile and said with that captivating deep voice, "Worried you might run away. You know—"

"Alright, I’ve heard this line so many times I can recite it."

Clara interrupted him and said helplessly, "Why don’t we just meet today then."

Even though it’s just a formal marriage, she’s still very cautious about choosing a partner.

Based on her past life’s experience, she isn’t very good at judging people.

Even if the man was disabled and couldn’t harm her, she decided to learn more first. If they didn’t share the same values or get along, she could still withdraw in time.

The two agreed to meet at six in the evening.

Opening the wardrobe, Clara found that most of her clothes leaned towards a sweet and girly style.

In fact, she had quite outstanding looks: crescent-shaped fine eyebrows, bright and charming eyes, a petite and straight nose with a mole that added a touch of flavor, and a sexy, rosy mouth.

Her figure was also quite amazing, though she usually kept it tightly wrapped.

Such a naturally beautiful visage, yet before her rebirth, she always dressed very plainly.

Why did she make such a choice against her own heart?

The reason lay in that good person who saved her life when she was young, who gave her a white rose.

It’s really funny to say that Samuel Grant did save her when he was young.

It was this life-saving grace that made her first love the savior.

She thought Samuel Grant must have thought of her as a white rose when he first saw her because she had leukemia, truly pale and pure.

So she always believed that he liked her for her purity and cleanliness, and she maintained this state for many years.

Now—

Clara let out a cold smile, her savior was all nonsense.

She simply chose a simple black velvet strap dress, wrapped a pretty scarf, wore pearl earrings, painted her lips bright red, instantly becoming sexy and elegant.

At this moment, William Foster called Zam over and pointed to the fifty pairs of sunglasses in front of him, saying, "Help me choose one, one that looks cool indoors at night."

Zam asked, puzzled, "Why wear sunglasses indoors at night?"

William Foster looked at him and said, "I want to be a cool blind man."

Zam twitched his lips, handed him a particularly cool pair of sunglasses, "Boss Foster, this one looks good."

Putting these on, he became the coolest ’blind’ man tonight.

Both William Foster and Clara Bennett dressed up carefully for this meeting.

Samuel Grant wasn’t idle either; to act like a ’dog,’ he picked an exquisite dog ear and tail accessory.

When William Foster saw Clara Bennett in the study, his gaze almost stuck to her, unable to look away like a hungry wolf meeting its prey.

She was really charming, almost lighting up the room.

William Foster wanted to praise her beauty, but at the moment, his identity was a ’blind man.’

William Foster smiled at her and said, "Honey, you’re here."

Today he deliberately dressed up, a custom-made suit, with cuffs embedded with specially prepared diamonds, hoping she’d find him incredibly handsome, especially with these sunglasses.

Clara looked at him with a puzzled expression, "Why are you wearing sunglasses at home this late?"

William Foster nonchalantly lied, "I don’t want people to see there’s something wrong with my eyes. So, do you think I look pretty cool with these shades or what?"

William Foster secretly thought: It’s actually so I can sneak a peek at her.

Clara hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Um... they do look pretty cool."

But she was thinking: Sitting there with such big sunglasses, who wouldn’t know there’s something wrong with your eyes?

Anyone wearing sunglasses at home is strange!

But thinking he might be feeling insecure about an eye condition, Clara kindly didn’t expose him.

William Foster was evidently very happy to see her, not just happy, but overly attentive.

"Sit down, honey."

William Foster said enthusiastically.

Clara replied, "Alright."

He continued, "Have some pastries. I had them specially delivered from Peach Jade Garden. Try them and see if they suit your taste."

Clara nodded, "They’re delicious."

Then he said, "Drink some tea, let me pour you some."

Clara smiled and said, "I’ll do it myself."

But William Foster still insisted on handing her the tea cup.

Clara quickly walked over to stop him, "Don’t push yourself, be careful the tea spills..."

Just as she spoke, the tea in William Foster’s hand spilled all over her dress.

"Oh..." Clara sighed helplessly.

William Foster quickly apologized, "Sorry, Clara, did you get hurt?"

Now her dress was not only soaked in tea but her underwear was too.

Summer dresses are so easy to get wet, it’s so annoying.

William Foster immediately called Zam to arrange for her to wash up, "Have the maid take Clara to get cleaned up and then bring some new clothes."

Clara declined, "No need for the trouble, I’m fine."

William Foster gently said, "Be good, changing into dry clothes will be more comfortable. First, put on my robe, then you can change into something new."

Clara gazed at him, suddenly reached out to pinch his face, "Could it be intentional?"

William Foster slightly raised his head, feeling an itch on his chin.

He instinctively moved his throat, innocently saying, "How could I, baby? Even if you were naked, I wouldn’t see a thing. Don’t wrong me like that."

Clara raised an eyebrow, letting out a snort, "Even if you could see, so what? Just because you can see doesn’t mean you can have."

William Foster: "Baby, you saying this makes me feel bad."

Clara leaned down, blowing a breath in his ear, "Yeah, I’m just a bad girl, otherwise, why would I sneak into your room this late."

With that, Clara strode off to take a shower.

William Foster watched her as she walked away. Even with the sunglasses on, his gaze still clearly showed joy.

"Bad girl... if you were a bit worse, I wouldn’t mind at all."

After the shower, Clara put on William Foster’s big robe without hesitation.
