The next day Anastasia was just about to take a break for the afternoon when she was informed that the king was around and ask her to the side hall.

Anastasia paused, After the incident with the medicine the king had continued to share two meals with her for a few days. After which he reduced it to either breakfast or dinner. But in the last two days he had not come for either of the two.

Apart from official meeting that she could be present she had never since the king in the afternoon. Although having some doubts she followed to the hall.

"Your majesty," Anastasia bowed. King Edward nod and guesture for her to take her sit.

Anastasia sat down, shortly after mary also arrived. She had no idea why the King had asked her to come.

Anastasia respectfully welcome her. After the two were sitted. The king gestured with his hand to Walter.

Walter bowed and walked away although the king had not said anything but Anastasia and Mary guessed there was an important matter the king wanted to discuss.

The watch the door open after a while, Dorothy assistanted by a nanny walked in.

"Your majesty, your grace," Dorothy bowed. Her face was glowing and one could easily tell that she was in a good mood.

Anastasia did not bother to acknowledge her, she turned to the king. He had promised that she would not see Dorothy again. Although she had her eyes on Dorothy she still pretended to be shocked by the situation. She had gone to the old gods temple to find some old scrolls but after checking for such a long time she was still unable to figure out what the items in the list was used for.

Eventually, it was mosd Magdalene who knows how to contact a prostitute if the old gods.

Worried about exposing her actions, she sent Gavin who had seen the priest in communication with Dorothy to go and ask a few questions.

Among everyone she understood that Gavin had the best ability to gather information and get familiar with People so he was the best choice. He was yet to bring back a report so she was not such of the situation.

King Edward pretended not to notice Anastasia’s gaze. "Help her sit," he instructed in a gentle tone.

Anastasia pursed her lips seeing this reaction.

Mary frown her brows, she knew about her son’s secret visits to Dorothy’d courtyard, she did not say anything because she thought it changed nothing but seeing him bring her he was worried that his son was about to break his promise.

Walter walked in with another man, Anastasia did not know who he was and just waited to hear why they were here.

"His name is Gil, he was the one lady Dorothy had given the prescription to after getting from physician Nathan. At that time she was not very familiar with the medicine hall. He helped her arranged the first batch of medicine and switched the prescription paper. Lady Dorothy was not very knowledgeable then and did not notice much.

We have been investigating, after taking the writing prescription to compare we noticed that the hand writing although they look similar upon care examining it, they were quite different," Walter explained.

Anastasia felt her heart fall, the scene was extremely the same with how Leah had taken the fall for Duchess Anita.

As Walter spoke he walked forward and showed the paper to Mary and Anastasia to check the evidence.

Mary looked at the piece of evidence and her case turned cold. The change in writing was not very obvious. It was clear that the other person was very skilled.

Mary only noticed the notable different because they were highlighted.

On the other hand Anastasia just glanced at it and look away.

If she did not know that physician Nathan had given her this prescription to begin with she would have believed this false evidence.

"Gill," she called out that medicine man that was brought forward.

"Your Majesty," Gill bowed.

"I will give you a chance to say what happened," Anastasia said she was convinced that this was a show the king had put together to clean his liver’s name.

Gill lowered his head, he seems like he was very unwilling to speak but after a moment of struggle he finally opened his mouth.

"It like he said, someone offered to pay me to switch the prescription in physician Dorothy’s hands. At that time I was not sure what it was about but his offer was very tempting. Besides I did not need to do anything but switched two papers.

There would be nothing evidence after I am done. So when I saw Physician Dorothy holding a scroll , I offered to help her gather the medicine.

She had over the paper and I switched it without mistake," Gill suddenly shout his mouth after saying so much.

Anastasia was looking at him, there was a look of confusion on his face that she did not quit understand.

"How did you find him?" Anastasia asked, she did not believe a word of what he said. She just wanted to know how prepared the king was in getting a scapegoat for his lover.

Walter looked at the queen, "your majesty, he got drunk yesterday and said this to his colleague," Walter answered.

Mary upon hearing this turned to look at the man with fierce gaze. "Do you know the person who sent you? Give me his name and discribtion and I will spare your life," Mary spoke in a firm voice she was convinced that this person was definitely related to her husband’s poisoning.

She began to even wonder if her husband also got poisoned from the medicine hall.

The man who was questioned looked dumbfounded.

He seems to not understand what Mary was saying. Maybe it was because Anastasia was used to observing others but she could tell that the man was not in a good mental state.

To her, the king must have threatened him to cover up for his mistress but to the king and his mother his behavior was that of a person who was guilty.

"Speak," king Edward’s cold voice echo throw the room.

The man shiver but he continues to press his lips together.

Anastasia had a faint smile on her lips, the king’s behavior made her more convinced that this was a play he had step up.

The whole room became tense, even Dorothy was a bit scared of the king’s aura but Anastasia chuckled at this point.

Everyone in the room was stunned by her behavior, after all she was the one that was hurt by this man but she did not seem a bit angry with the man.

"Your majesty, he is only a medicine man, how much can he hide from you... But I am just a bit surprised, how did this person manage to learn Dorothy’s hand writing? She had only been in the palace for a short whike at that time? Moreover before this, only the maid by my side had what the prescription from physician Nathan. Physician Dorothy, I wonder if you can remember who else was present in the royal physician hall when physician Nathan gave you the prescription?" And said. She simply spoke about the loop in the story.

"No one else," Dorothy frown and answer. The young seer had told her that he would help her resolve the issue with the prescription so that the king can recognize her before she gave birth.

When she first arrived and learned under physician Nathan most of the men in charge of taking care of the herbs were very good to her. Especially this Gill he usually help her identity a few herbs when she was confused. She did not know he was the one that harm her.

She felt very lucky that she met the young seer.

"Then, how long was it before you went to get the herbs for the medicine?" Anastasia asked.

"After he was done teaching me for the day?" Dorothy thought carefully before she answered.

Mary on the side also realized that something was wrong with this narrative, she was just eager to find the person that has hurt her son.

King Edward raised his brows, even if he wanted to act as a fool, he could tell that Anastasia did not believe the story. She felt that he was putting on an act to clear his lovers name.

His gaze turned cold, "Walter what is going on?" He asked. When Walter had brought the news to him, he had been so happy to clear Dorothy’s name that he had not bother to ask much questions and sumor everyone.

Walter was also at a lost, the king kept making him investigate the situation with the prescription. For two months there have been no different. Suddenly yesterday he heard that a man had gotten drunk and confess. He also met the man and found the prescription. He took it to expect to analysis the handwriting and everything made sense so he reported to the king but thinking about it again it really did not make sense.

Dorothy was new at that time, she had suddenly become the female physician of the queen. Unless the person could predict ahead of time, it did not seem very possible for him to have prepared an identical copy so quickly.
