Chapter 487: Chapter 485: You’ll Get Used to It

```
Wang Yongzhu had to cut cloth and collect money, which made her even slower.
Fortunately, Liu Xiaoqiao and Mother Liu saw that she was overwhelmed and hurried over to help. The three of them were so busy they sweated profusely. It was only after dark that things finally quieted down a bit.
The fabric they had brought was almost completely sold out.
Wang Yongzhu was better off, since she was naturally strong and had been practicing the Physical Enhancement Technique. Even after bending over for half a day, she only felt some soreness in her waist and a bit of discomfort in her arms.
But her hand, from holding scissors all afternoon, had developed a blister on her right thumb.
She hadn’t noticed it herself. Seeing that Liu Xiaoqiao and Mother Liu were so tired they could barely straighten their backs, she felt particularly bad, "Mother Liu, Sister Xiao Qiao, you really worked hard today."
Mother Liu laughed heartily, "We’re all family here, so there’s no need for such words. What’s this bit of busyness to us? But my girl, you must be exhausted? I saw you didn’t even drink a sip of water from noon until now; you must be starving. I’ll go back and cook for you all first. You take your time cleaning up."
At the same time, she instructed Liu Xiaoqiao, "Xiao Qiao, help your Sister Wang tidy up, and clean up the room next door too. Make it ready for Sister Wang to stay tonight."
Liu Xiaoqiao readily agreed and helped Wang Yongzhu pack up the remaining fabric.
Wang Yongzhu, not wanting to be a burden, quickly reached out to stop her, "Sister Xiao Qiao, you can rest; I can clean this up by myself—"
"Sister Wang, your hand—" Liu Xiaoqiao had sharp eyes, and even in the dim light, she still noticed the shiny blister on Wang Yongzhu’s thumb.
"Yongzhu, what happened to your hand?"
"Sis, what’s with your hand?"
Two voices sounded, one after the other. Song Chongjin and Wang Yongping had also just finished their work. The hunters, seeing the Wang Family settled accounts promptly and offered fair prices, hastened to sell off the goods they had kept at home.
Having silver in hand was what mattered.
The two of them had also been busy until now with the Liu brothers, moving the acquired goods into the Liu Family’s storeroom.
No sooner had they come out than they heard Liu Xiaoqiao’s cry of surprise and rushed forward.
Song Chongjin was a step ahead and lifted Wang Yongzhu’s hand, noticing the shiny blister with a hint of distress and annoyance in his eyes, "How could you be so careless? How did this happen?"
While talking, he looked toward the light coming from the Liu Family Courtyard’s gate, pursed his lips, and drew a knife from his waist as if to cut—
Wang Yongzhu, startled, wondered what he was doing. It was just a blister; did it warrant pulling out such a big knife? It seemed like he was about to chop off her hand—surely, that was unnecessary?
"What... what are you doing?" Wang Yongzhu quickly grabbed Song Chongjin’s wrist with her other hand, asking warily.
"Your hand has developed a blister. If I open it with a knife, let the fluid out, and apply some medicine, it will heal by tomorrow morning," Song Chongjin explained calmly.
Wang Yongzhu breathed a sigh of relief, "It’s just a small blister; you can just prick it with a needle. You scared me to death with that knife; I thought you were going to chop off my hand!"
Song Chongjin looked at the knife in his hand and then at Wang Yongzhu’s delicate and fair hand, and felt he might have overreacted.
He was simply too concerned and hadn’t thought things through. Back in the mountains, they didn’t fuss over such things. Why look for a needle? If there was a knife, they would use it. If not, they’d pick a pine needle or a sharp tree twig to do the job.
But now, holding Yongzhu’s soft and delicate hand, Song Chongjin also felt that such tender skin shouldn’t bear any flaws, including that blister which seemed more and more irritating the longer he looked at it.
Wang Yongping, coming over to look, saw that his sister’s hand had just gotten a blister from the friction. He was always straightforward and didn’t understand what all the fuss was about over such a small matter.
```

But after all, she was his own sister, and seeing her pale hand blistered with blood was really hard on the eyes.

He also noticed Song Chongjin’s anxious and nervous demeanor and couldn’t help but comfort him, "It’s just a blister, there’s no need to make a big fuss about it. You’ll get used to it. The more blisters you get, and once they turn into calluses, it won’t hurt..."

He hadn’t finished speaking before he received three murderous glares.

It made sense for his own sister and the Song brothers to glare at him, but why did Sister Xiao Qiao also give him a dirty look?

Wang Yongping touched his head, completely baffled.

Although Liu Xiaoqiao liked Wang Yongping’s straightforwardness, she was still annoyed by his attitude and words.

Look at Sister Wang’s fiancé. Seeing Sister Wang get hurt, his nervousness showed just how much he cared for her.

But when it came to him, what do you know, he didn’t have a single comforting thing to say, instead telling her to get used to it and even suggesting to blister it a few more times until calluses form so it wouldn’t hurt.

Listen to that, is that even something a person would say?

If one of her own brothers said something like that, she wouldn’t be a Liu if she didn’t beat him so bad he’d be searching for his teeth on the ground!

Liu Xiaoqiao was still mentally grumbling when suddenly Wang Yongping’s cries of pain could be heard: "Sister, let go quickly, it hurts—"

Turning her head, she saw Wang Yongzhu grabbing Wang Yongping by the ear, his tall frame twisted awkwardly as he was pulled, and while he was reluctant to break free forcefully, he was also unable to retaliate, only able to plead in a pitiful voice, "Sister, sister, please let go..."

Standing to the side with his hands clasped, Song Chongjin watched Wang Yongzhu nervously, "Yongzhu, be careful your hands hurt..."

Wang Yongping looked at Song Chongjin with betrayed eyes, the Song brothers were no longer the ones he knew from before! Couldn’t he see that it was himself who was being tormented? Caring about the wrong person, huh?

Song Chongjin wasn’t looking at Wang Yongping at all, of course not receiving Wang Yongping’s signals.

"What’s the big deal about getting your ear pinched? There’s no need to make such a fuss over it. You’ll get used to it. Have it pinched a few more times, first by sister, then by a sister-in-law later, and after being pinched over and over again, you’ll get used to it and it won’t hurt anymore." Wang Yongzhu said with a cold laugh.

Even if Wang Yongping was silly, he realized his earlier words had offended his sister, and he quickly changed his tone to appease her: "Sister is right! Sister does it well! A few more times and Fourth Brother will get used to the pain. Now I’ll get used to it, and when I have a wife later, it won’t hurt when she does it!"

Upon hearing this, Liu Xiaoqiao couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Wang Yongping and Wang Yongzhu turned to look when they heard the laughter.

Under the gaze of both of them, Liu Xiaoqiao suddenly felt uncomfortable and awkward. When Wang Yongping saw Liu Xiaoqiao, for some inexplicable reason, he blurted out, "Sister Xiao Qiao, would you like to pinch my ear?"

Liu Xiaoqiao’s face burned red instantly, feeling all her blood rushing to her face. She was both embarrassed and awkward, and even the most straightforward girl would feel bashful at that moment.

Stomping her foot, Liu Xiaoqiao glared at Wang Yongping reproachfully, "What nonsense are you talking about!" Then she covered her face and ran into the Liu Family Courtyard.

Wang Yongping was left staring at Liu Xiaoqiao’s retreating figure, dazed and not snapping back to reality for quite some time.

Wang Yongzhu almost cried with laughter, never expecting her simple and foolish fourth brother to be so bold and proactive, to say such a straightforward thing to Miss Liu right in front of the family.

He had even managed to embarrass such a forthright girl and chased her away.

Truly, he didn’t make a move often, but when he did, it was shocking!

If nothing unexpected happened, it seemed Liu Xiaoqiao was not going to escape being the fourth sister-in-law.
