Chapter 316: Chapter 316 Who Gave You the Courage
Lin Fu’s figure descended from the sky, and after bracing herself on one hand to dissipate the impact, she stood up to face the people blocking her way.
They didn’t seem dressed like the patrol guards of the Military Academy.
"Who goes there?"
"I am a student here for the competition."
"This is not a place you can come to, leave immediately, or don’t blame us for being rude."
"I came here this morning and it was fine, why not now?" Lin Fu eyed them suspiciously, "Aren’t you from the First Military Academy Guard Team? Who are you people?"
After speaking, she glanced up at the Sky Eye Brain in the sky, a trace of suspicion arising in her mind.
The Guard Team of the First Military Academy kept close watch, it was impossible for outsiders to act as they pleased, but the uniforms of the people in front of her were definitely from a regular military force.
With the big shots gathering in the academy these days, could they be someone’s Guard Team?
"You have no right to know that, leave now." The leader tried to push Lin Fu away with a menacing look but was instead swiftly grabbed by the arm and subdued by her.
"Whether I have the right or not isn’t for you to decide."
Upon seeing their captain being controlled, the others immediately raised their ion guns aimed at Lin Fu, ready to shoot at any moment, creating a tension-filled atmosphere.
Members of the Guard Team watching from the shadows were sweating nervously at how quickly things had escalated.
Someone whispered in complaint, "This Lin Fu, why does she explode at the slightest provocation?"
"Hmph!"
"This is the First Military Command College, not Elbert’s playground for her to run amok."
Lin Fu stepped on the leader, pinning him to the ground, and drew her combat knife with one hand to plant it firmly into the earth; a closer look would reveal that the blade was positioned just against the man’s neck.
With a slight twist of the hilt, she was sure the man’s head would part from his shoulders in an instant.
Those confronting her didn’t expect Lin Fu to be so bold; their palms were sweaty with tension as they slowly inched forward, yet restrained from firing their weapons.
"What do you think you’re doing, Lin Fu? Cease your resistance immediately, or face summary execution."
"So, you know who I am!" Lin Fu tilted her head, eyeing the gun barrels pointed at her, and let out a light laugh, "If you know who I am, yet you dare to block my way and point guns at me, who gave you the courage? Speak up!"
Her shout stunned all four of them.
"It is you who shouldn’t be here, we’re just following the rules." The man under her foot blushed with rage and humiliation as he shouted, "This isn’t Elbert, this is the Core Area of the First Military Command College, a place you’re not allowed in. Is it wrong for us not to let you through?"
"It might not be wrong, but showing up at this time is a grave mistake."
Lin Fu grabbed the man by the hair and yanked him up.
The man was like a chicken about to be slaughtered, his vulnerability was completely exposed to the blade.
"I still can’t make out your unit number, the regiment you belong to." Lin Fu looked at the small blank patch where the man’s military uniform had been stripped of its numbers and smirked coldly, "Tell me, who sent you? Trying to stop me is simply asking for death."
By the end, her tone was unabashedly filled with murderous intent.
She was truly fed up with the continuous sabotage and the disgusting acts of petty manipulation.
"Thinking my youth and inexperience can be fooled by a formal military uniform? Too bad your hostility is too obvious, not even knowing how to disguise it." Lin Fu pressed hard with her foot, smashing the man fiercely into the ground, leaving his face, nose, and forehead covered in blood.
