Chapter 67: Chapter 67 Mom, are you and Dad arguing?

"Bo Yunshen, tell me, what were you thinking?!"

Bo Yunshen was silent for a moment.

The air was thin, cleaved in two by the dim light indoors, making it hard for Qin Yan to breathe.

His silence made Qin Yan feel even colder inside.

In the scorching summer, she actually trembled uncontrollably because of Bo Yunshen’s silence!

"What, do you want to see me embarrassed? Hate me? Want me to die a horrible death? Then why did you bother saving me later?!"

Bo Yunshen was enraged by Qin Yan’s words. It was as though he had been up all night, and at that moment, his brain felt like a computer that had crashed, unable to utter a single word when he was angry.

He could only stare at Qin Yan with a faint, subdued gaze, chilling her to the core.

"Mommy, are you and Daddy fighting?"

Behind Qin Yan, a tender voice rang out, and the woman’s body stiffened abruptly as she turned around.

All these years, she had been weaving lies to Qin Yinyin, telling her that she and Bo Yunshen loved each other very much. This question unexpectedly made Qin Yan feel too apprehensive to answer.

Qin Yinyin was only three years old. Despite the broken state of their family, how could she let her know?

Qin Yan pursed her lips, looked into Qin Yinyin’s large eyes brimming with tears, and instinctively denied, "No, it’s nothing. Mommy just isn’t feeling well, that’s why my attitude was a bit off..."

Qin Yinyin nodded, half understanding, still looking timidly at Bo Yunshen.

Although she was not well, Qin Yan didn’t want to dismiss it hastily in front of Qin Yinyin. She hugged Qin Yinyin and said softly, "Go upstairs first. Mommy and Daddy have something to discuss. It’s the weekend, so I think you might have some homework to do, right? Why don’t you go work on it?"

Qin Yinyin nodded, hugged her storybook, and walked around the coffee table before going upstairs with her fluffy little head bowed.

Qin Yan watched all of Qin Yinyin’s movements but noted that Qin Yinyin didn’t need to take such a roundabout route—the staircase was just a straight turn away, but directly ahead was Bo Yunshen.

Qin Yan didn’t even dare to think about what Bo Yunshen could have done to cause such fear in Qin Yinyin!

She closed her eyes briefly, flashes of Qin Yinyin’s injuries passing through her mind, her heart numbing with pain.

If she had been more cautious with Tang Tian at the celebration that day and hadn’t been trapped in the Night Club, would her darling not have suffered such severe injuries?

Qin Yan remained silent, her attention fixed on Qin Yinyin, unaware that Bo Yunshen had squatted down at the coffee table, his distinctively large hand tightly clenching an unrecognizable photograph on the table.

Layers of gloom gathered in his eyes, the concealed emotions in his pupils refracting into broken light.

Well played, Qin Yan!

Always quick to strike first and find trouble with him!

No matter how much time passed, he always found her to be an irritating woman!

The sound of a door clicking shut upstairs finally made Qin Yan breathe a sigh of relief.

Bo Yunshen’s lips moved, his eyelids slightly lifting in a mocking tone.

"Director Qin, isn’t it about time you explain to me when I became the father of a bastard? Listening to your daughter call me ’Daddy’ so familiarly—surely I wasn’t sleepwalking and teaching her that, was I?"

Qin Yan had gone too long without eating, and although she didn’t feel it upon waking up, by the time Qin Yinyin went upstairs, a cramp seized her empty stomach, causing Qin Yan painful brain hypoxia.

Bo Yunshen’s sarcastic words elicited a cold laugh from Qin Yan, but this cold laugh was too weak and could hardly control the situation!

She gently pressed her butterfly-like long eyelashes, her lips pale to the extreme.

Yet, Bo Yunshen continued, "What, did you think that after getting married, I would acknowledge the bastard born from your affairs?"

"Your calculations are neat, but, Director Qin, let me remind you that I allowed you to marry into the Bo Family so you could donate bone marrow to me in case of any danger, not to carelessly have a bastard and split my inheritance!"

Qin Yan’s eyebrows tightened as she said, "Bo Yunshen, don’t push me too far! If I had this idea, I would have proposed it three years ago! Do you think everyone cares about your money?"

Not caring about his money, enduring humiliation to marry him, was it really because she loved him?

Bo Yunshen scornfully laughed again, a man’s laughter that caused another tightening in Qin Yan’s heart!

"I ask you, why did Yinyin sustain such severe injuries, do they have anything to do with you?"

After Qin Yan finished her question, Bo Yunshen unconsciously furrowed his brow.

This was the first time that Bo Yunshen, in front of Qin Yan, called Qin Yinyin a bastard without her rebuttal.

It seems that for Qin Yan, everything was prioritized.

Bo Yunshen initially wanted to deny it, but the cold sensation of the photographs in his palm reminded him: about such a bastard who did not align with his heart, only a lowly woman like Qin Yan could raise her and dote on her excessively.

Oh, right, who knows how long Qin Yan’s doting on Qin Yinyin would last, and how much of it was for her own benefit.

"A bastard, eating my food and drinking my water on my turf, not behaving, and messing with my things, what now, I can’t touch her?"

Bo Yunshen rolled up his white shirt sleeves, his gaze growing increasingly deep and shadowed.

His response, in Qin Yan’s ears, was an admission! He admitted that he had physically harmed Qin Yinyin! The injuries on Qin Yinyin’s body were all inflicted by him!

A roar filled Qin Yan’s mind as she blurted out, "Bo Yunshen, Yinyin is only three years old! What does she know? How could you lay your hands on her? And everyday labeling her as a bastard, are you even human? Can’t you do more humane things?"

This was the first time Qin Yan spoke so uncompromisingly.

Bo Yunshen abruptly stood up from the sofa, his eyes seemingly carrying ice, turning into sharp blades that painfully cut into Qin Yan’s heart.

He strode over to Qin Yan, his hands tightly locking her arms, his voice frosty and suppressed to an extreme low, "Clarify your words, what do you mean by these sentences?"

Qin Yan, this woman, was actually indirectly cursing him for being inhuman?

He went to the police station, faced mockery, came back to apply medicine on the little bastard’s wounds, saved Qin Yan, and then took the little bastard back to her room!

He believed he had been patient enough with Qin Yinyin!

But what did Qin Yinyin give him in return?

She fed him a love potion, blurring his judgment momentarily about what she really wanted, while he spoke well of Manman only for the next second to be betrayed by the only thought Manman had left him.

He wasn’t mad yet, but what right did this despicable woman, Qin Yan, have to challenge him?
