Chapter 50: Chapter 50 Qin Yinyin Had Lost Before
Her attitude was good, and she was also pretty to look at. Feng Chen glanced at her a few more times and said,
"I’m hungry, I want some soup dumplings. Go downstairs and find a place to buy them for me!"
As soon as Feng Chen finished speaking, a crack appeared on Lu Xiangxiang’s smiling face.
Soup dumplings?
It was so late; couldn’t he eat a hotel set meal if he was hungry? Why didn’t he go when they were eating earlier?
She was a woman, and it could be dangerous for her to go out so late. How could Old Mr. Feng be such a pervert without a shred of common sense?
Lu Xiangxiang internally raged at Feng Chen while desperately maintaining a smile on her face and said, "I’m not familiar with City S, I don’t know where to find good soup dumplings, and it’s also so late. How about I order a hotel set meal for you first?"
"The hotel set meal is too greasy. You can’t even get soup dumplings; what am I keeping you around for, just for looks? Fifteen minutes later, bring what I want to my room!"
After Feng Chen spoke, he immediately turned around and headed to his room, even flinging the door of his room shut with his hand.
Lu Xiangxiang was dumbfounded. Damn it!
Being tortured and mistreated by Feng Chen every day, she would definitely age prematurely!
Did she lack the little salary he paid her every month? What she was lacking were the several hundred million that could allow her to squander for a lifetime!
Lu Xiangxiang seethed with hatred, her teeth itching with frustration, but she had no choice but to set aside Qin Yan for the moment, put on her coat, and head downstairs, tirelessly and obligingly, to find those soup dumplings for the perverted Old Mr. Feng.
As soon as Qin Yan hung up the phone, her heart twisted into a knot.
Being locked up for so long, her stomach felt empty to the point of nausea, and attempts to call teacher Qin Yinyin went unanswered. After Lu Xiangxiang dropped off Qin Yinyin, she hadn’t had any contact with her!
She became anxious, short of breath, and her vision began to darken.
Cold sweat beaded on Qin Yan’s forehead, her complexion growing even paler. In the workplace, she was always a woman with a strong grip on things, but now, her face suddenly showed a sense of helplessness and confusion, tearing apart the resilience that Qin Yan wore. Instead, it draped her with a kind of pitiable charm and a fragile beauty as if willows were supported against the wind.
Bo Yunshen saw her worried expression at the bottom of his eyes, and inexplicable anger surged in his heart. He felt that looking at Qin Yan was just irritating, no matter how.
Especially when confronting her pretentious demeanor!
"What, calling that bastard?"
Bo Yunshen sat on a chair in the ward, his lips tightly pursed into a mocking arc.
Qin Yan’s brows twitched, and a swift light flashed through her water-like eyes.
"I have told you many times, Yinyin is not a bastard. I really can’t imagine how Mr. Bo, a graduate from a prestigious school, can have such low standards!"
Tang Tian locking her in the Night Club restroom could only have two explanations: either she saw Bo Yunshen causing trouble for her at the celebration and wanted to use this to curry favor with Bo Yunshen.
Or she was jealous, thinking that Qin Yan was the legitimate Mrs. Bo, blocking her own path to marrying into wealth.
Regardless of the reason, it had something to do with Bo Yunshen.
No matter what, Qin Yinyin was his daughter. It was one thing for him to not acknowledge her, to not perform his fatherly duties, but with such an incident happening, even if he wasn’t the one who directed it, what right had he to make snide remarks?
Qin Yan couldn’t find Qin Yinyin and was already feeling terrible. When she spoke, she faced Bo Yunshen directly, her tone not mincing words.
Bo Yunshen propped his face with his hand, and at her words, he scoffed.
The hospital lights were bleak, casting upon his eyes a few strands of sinister and dark light.
He had low standards?
Three years ago, Qin Yan drove away Manman, carried a bastard, threatened his mother with the bone marrow issue, and took the position of Mrs. Bo, and she was noble?
She dared to say that about him?
Was Qin Yan trying to laugh him to death?
Mrs. Bo made a move, the corners of his lips lifting with a mocking curve, "Indeed! Even with my such low standards, Director Qin was still eager to cling to me, wasn’t she?"
Qin Yan choked.
Her eyes, unreadable, glanced at Bo Yunshen, her heart tightening.
"Mr. Bo, no matter what, I was trapped in Night Club because of you, and now my daughter’s whereabouts are unknown. Can’t you refrain from making those cold remarks for once? Consider it a plea from me!"
As Qin Yan spoke, her heart twisted like a knife being turned in it.
How ironic her life had become!
The irony was such that, at times, she found herself pitiful.
Bo Yunshen scoffed, Tang Tian did a good deed, and Qin Yan was quite adept at deflecting the blame for her, what did it have to do with him?
He cast a glance at Qin Yan’s expression and didn’t say another word!
Arguing back and forth with a woman, especially one like Qin Yan, was too demeaning!
Qin Yan, holding back her tears, turned her gaze to Bo Yunshen’s phone screen. After the call ended, the display stayed on the call log screen.
Her gaze paused on the only noted number in the call log, Tang Tian’s mobile number, feeling a bitter and sour sensation in her heart.
Qin Yan scrolled down, flipping through Bo Yunshen’s phone, only to find the screen filled with increasingly unfamiliar phone numbers.
They had been married for three years with minimal overlap in their lives. Even their social circles had little intersection. From his phone, all she could feel was the strangeness of everything that once belonged.
The incident from eleven years ago felt even more like a dream she could never touch.
Bo Yunshen didn’t know that in her phone, apart from work-related calls which were necessary to answer, all her contacts were related to Qin Yinyin.
She could dial Qin Yinyin’s teacher and Lu Xiangxiang’s numbers by heart for a reason.
A year ago, when Yinyin had just turned one, coincidentally, Qin Yan had just taken the position as the head of the marketing department. There were many procedures, even managerial matters, she was unfamiliar with.
She handled so much every day that, although married to Bo Yunshen, she always stood alone, unable to take care of Qin Yinyin.
She had no choice but to send Qin Yinyin to daycare.
It was Qin Yinyin’s first time integrating into a group, and Qin Yan, worried she might not adjust well, would leave work early to pick up Yinyin.
But what Qin Yan didn’t expect was that when she arrived at the daycare, there was no sign of Qin Yinyin in the classroom.
Qin Yinyin was everything to Qin Yan. To this day, she couldn’t forget that feeling of utter desolation.
Qin Yan’s fingers clenched the phone with all her strength, her pale knuckles glowing with a faint, cold light, while the anguish on her face couldn’t be hidden.
Looking back now, it actually seemed rather ridiculous.
The last time Qin Yinyin went missing had, to some extent, something to do with Bo Yunshen too.
Back then, Qin Yan was furious, demanding to know why the teacher hadn’t looked after the child!
She still remembers what the teacher said while shifting the blame, "Your child hasn’t adjusted to daycare life at all. She spent the whole day sitting outside the classroom waiting for you to pick her up. Just now, she followed a man, calling him ’daddy’..."
Two-year-old Qin Yinyin mistook someone else for her father.
She had followed a stranger, and no one knew where she had ended up!
This was the only useful piece of information Qin Yan could deduce from the teacher’s account.
She almost fainted in fright at that moment!
She and the teacher searched the entire daycare but couldn’t find Qin Yinyin anywhere. The teacher suggested she call to see if it really was the child’s father who had picked her up.
