Chapter 493: Chapter 493: Bo Yunshen is Yinyin’s dad, I’ll take her back to see.

"Got it."

Qin Yan replied casually, then went upstairs to find Qin Mingchuan.

He hadn’t been back long and was still dealing with jet lag. Qin Yan knocked on the door, and Qin Mingchuan opened it. His hair was messy. Seeing it was Qin Yan, he rubbed his head and asked, "Sister, what’s up?"

"Yinyin and I need to go back to China for a bit. Keep an eye on the company during this time."

Qin Mingchuan had been very tired, but upon hearing Qin Yan’s words, he immediately perked up.

He looked at Qin Yan suspiciously, "Why are you going back to China at this critical moment? And taking Yinyin with you? Sister, you can’t still have feelings for Bo Yunshen, right? You can’t go back to China. If you go, how will you return? That old shrew of the Bo Family has many ways to keep you from coming back!"

"Might even forcibly make you donate bone marrow. Why would you put yourself through this? To watch that pair of dogs flaunt their love and endanger yourself?"

Qin Yan: "..."

Logically speaking, Qin Mingchuan is Jiang Yunwan’s son. The fact that he doesn’t join Jiang Yunwan in ostracizing her is already a lot. Maybe it’s because he studied abroad since childhood, he doesn’t have any prejudice against her and is intensely protective.

Qin Yan covered her smile. If Jiang Yunwan knew about their interaction, wouldn’t she be infuriated?

"Bo Yunshen is Yinyin’s father. I’m taking her back to see him. This will be the last time she has any connection with him."

"Actually, Bo Yunshen marrying Lin Man is a good thing. Yinyin doesn’t like Lin Man. If Bo Yunshen married someone else, Qin Yinyin might not give up so easily."

Qin Mingchuan wanted to stop Qin Yan from going back to China, but damn it, he found her reasoning quite convincing, even a bit persuasive.

"Then I’ll go back with you!"

Qin Mingchuan said, trying to turn back to his room, but Qin Yan stopped him: "You just came over, why go back? The company isn’t stable yet. If we both leave, who will keep the group in check? You stay. I’ve talked to Senior Fu; he’s also returning to China the next few days, so we can go together."

"Besides, even if I’m going to the wedding, I won’t go alone. I’ll be with Muzhou."

Fu He, Shi Muzhou.

Since Qin Yan put it that way, Qin Mingchuan felt reassured, though still a bit reluctant: "Alright then, but you must come back immediately after the wedding. I’ll book the tickets, both ways."

Qin Yan laughed, "Remember to give me a couple more days, so Xiangxiang and I can enjoy shopping leisurely."

With Bo Yunshen’s wedding around the corner, after finishing the chat with Qin Mingchuan, Qin Yan boarded the plane in the afternoon.

By the time they arrived back in China, it was already dark,

with the time difference with Los Angeles, although it was dark, Qin Yinyin was energetic and insisted on seeing her grandpa.

Qin Yan didn’t want to go to the Bo Family, so she simply called Bo Yuanshan on her phone.

"Yanyan?"

"It’s me, Uncle. Yinyin and I came back to attend Mr. Bo’s wedding. Yinyin said she wants to see you, is it convenient for you?"

To see his own granddaughter, how could Bo Yuanshan be inconvenienced? He immediately asked Qin Yan if they would come to the Bo Family or what.

Qin Yan arranged to meet at a themed restaurant called Love at First Sight.

With Qin Yinyin in tow when they arrived, Bo Yuanshan was already there. Not seeing them for over a month, his temples bore a few more strands of white hair, making Qin Yan’s eyes flicker slightly.

"Uncle."

Bo Yuanshan was a little unaccustomed to that address from her and didn’t respond, instead reaching out to pick up Qin Yinyin. She had grown taller and looked quite healthy; it was apparent that Qin Yan took good care of her.

"Yanyan, what made you decide to attend the wedding? Did Lin Man and Ah Ru come looking for you again?"

Qin Yan took out the invitation and handed it to Bo Yuanshan.

"This is an invitation."

Bo Yuanshan’s expression changed slightly. Other than Mrs. Bo, he couldn’t think of anyone else who could send an invitation to Qin Yan in his name.

And if anyone in the Bo Family still harbored thoughts of bringing Qin Yan back to China, unless Bo Yuanshan personally intervened, the others likely couldn’t succeed.

He pressed down on the invitation, his demeanor icy: "Yanyan, rest assured, since I promised you the conditions at the time of the divorce, I will never let you go to the hospital to donate bone marrow to that scoundrel. Even Ah Ru can’t force you."

"I trust you."

Qin Yan gave a small smile, thinking of herself as rather hypocritical.

"To be honest, I came because I was worried about any future entanglements between Yunshen and Yinyin. That’s why I brought her to the wedding. She’s afraid of Lin Man, and for me now, Yunshen marrying Lin Man is, in a sense, a good thing."

Bo Yuanshan sighed softly.

He looked down at Qin Yinyin. The little guy was very young yet exceptionally sensible and well-behaved.

But he wasn’t fortunate enough. Of his four sons, three died unexpectedly, the remaining one was not dependable, and he couldn’t even keep his granddaughter around to enjoy the delights of doting on grandchildren.

"Yanyan, all these years, you’ve been wronged."

Just as these words fell, the door of the Love at First Sight private room was suddenly pushed open, and Mrs. Bo strode in. Qin Yinyin was the first to react, calling out, "Grandma!"

Mrs. Bo’s gaze landed on Qin Yinyin, she squinted slightly, fixedly staring at Yinyin, and after a moment said, "Qin Yan, why did you suddenly return to China?"

In her heart, Mrs. Bo harbored some hope; she hoped Qin Yan would tell her she came back to donate bone marrow to Bo Yunshen.

Qin Yan chuckled softly.

She wore a simple nude-colored long dress, with the weather turning cooler, and a light blazer layered over it. She sat there with an air of grace and warmth, both gentle and captivating.

Since leaving Bo Yunshen, she had become prettier, and her temperament much softer, which left Mrs. Bo wide-eyed as she heard Qin Yan say:

"I came to attend Mr. Bo’s wedding, Mrs. Bo. Didn’t you send the invitation in Uncle’s name? I thought my presence here would make things a bit clearer to you."

Mrs. Bo paused.

"Did I? Manman mentioned wanting your blessing and forgiveness, so she asked me to send the invitation. You know, Manman was the wife I chose for Yunshen myself. I was even worried you’d come back to ruin the event."

Qin Yan stood up, glanced at Mrs. Bo, then bent down to pick up Qin Yinyin in her arms, saying softly, "If Mrs. Bo has such concerns, I can immediately return to Los Angeles, as I still have many matters to attend to and can’t afford to delay."

Afraid Qin Yan would truly leave, Mrs. Bo’s expression shifted. She reached out to stop Qin Yan: "Since you’re already here, I believe you’re not that kind of person. What’s the rush?"

"Weren’t you going to have dinner with Yuanshan? The dishes haven’t even been served yet; have something to eat before you go back?"

"By the way, you said you’re here for Yunshen’s wedding, have you booked a hotel? Would you like me to arrange a room for you? How about the Ritz-Carlton?"
