The Cold-hearted CEO's Unwanted Bride
Chapter 365: Is He Taking Revenge on Me?

Chapter 365: Chapter 365: Is He Taking Revenge on Me?

"He’s retaliating against me?"

Yanyan let out a cold laugh she couldn’t suppress: "My mom’s bones haven’t even turned cold, and Qin Mingchuan’s mom has already taken her place!"

"What does he want to get back at me for? Besides, the Qin Group is going downhill. He genuinely wants to collaborate with the Bo Group—it doesn’t make any sense for him to do such a thing."

After Yanyan and Lu Yi went downstairs to handle the hospital admission paperwork and confirmed that Yinyin’s condition wasn’t severe, Yanyan forced herself to stay calm.

"Then who do you think it is?"

Lu Yi posed the question, and a fleeting image of Lin Man flashed through Yanyan’s mind.

But she quickly dismissed the thought.

"I’ll call Qin Mingchuan and clarify." Yanyan managed a strained smile. "Lu Yi, thanks for bringing Yinyin to the hospital today."

"It’s getting late; you should head back and rest early."

Lu Yi hesitated as if wanting to say something, but ultimately chose silence, nodding. "Alright."

After speaking, Lu Yi left without another word.

Once out of the elevator, Lu Yi pulled out his phone and dialed Bo Yuanshan.

At that moment, Bo Yuanshan had been about to go to sleep. Seeing Lu Yi’s name on the screen, he raised an eyebrow in mild surprise but answered the call nonetheless.

"Lu Yi, calling so late—what’s the matter?"

Lu Yi paused briefly.

"Uncle, am I disturbing your rest?"

"I haven’t slept yet," Bo Yuanshan replied with a smile.

Lu Yi furrowed his brow slightly. "Uncle, it’s like this—I just dropped off Yanyan and Yinyin at the hospital. Yinyin has a parasitic infection causing blurred vision... The doctor said she might go blind."

The smile on Bo Yuanshan’s face vanished instantly.

His hand tightened around the phone.

"You brought Yanyan’s mother and daughter to the hospital?" Bo Yuanshan asked. "Where is Yunshen?"

Lu Yi fabricated a lie and remained composed under Bo Yuanshan’s questioning. "When I went to Xing Yue Bay, I didn’t see Yunshen."

"Uncle, Yunshen doesn’t think highly of me. Staying at the hospital isn’t appropriate for me. Could you give Yunshen a call and have him come to the hospital to accompany Yanyan?"

That familiar suffocating feeling returned to Bo Yuanshan’s chest.

He took a deep breath, suppressing his anger, and said, "I’ll notify him."

Then he abruptly ended the call.

His fury surged as he stumbled onto the floor beside his bed, his blood pressure spiking.

Clutching his phone tightly, Bo Yuanshan felt his consciousness twist.

He knew about Bo Yunshen’s discharge and their move back to Xing Yue Bay. He had sent people to keep an eye on Hai Wan Xiang Xie just to ensure Yunshen didn’t suddenly return!

If he wasn’t at Xing Yue Bay or Hai Wan Xiang Xie, then that bastard must have gone off somewhere else to indulge!

"Yuanshan!"

Mrs. Bo pushed open the door, startled by the pallor on Bo Yuanshan’s face.

"Take your medicine!"

She quickly retrieved his blood pressure medication, shoved it into his mouth, and gave him water to swallow.

After regaining some color, Bo Yuanshan inhaled deeply and spat through gritted teeth: "Call that bastard!"

Mrs. Bo’s expression shifted.

"Did Yanyan call to bother you again?"

Bo Yuanshan let out a cold snort, shot her an icy glance, and walked out to call Yanyan himself.

When Bo Yunshen finally responded to Mrs. Bo’s call, he was at Night Club.

A kaleidoscopic cocktail sat before him, while a beautiful woman was cozied up by his side.

The pounding of heavy metal music was so intense it made his skull throb. Glancing down, he saw Mrs. Bo’s name flashing across his phone display atop the bar counter.

He picked up the call.

Mrs. Bo’s voice was nearly drowned out by the bass-heavy music: "Yunshen, where are you?"

"What do you need, Mom?"

Mrs. Bo licked her lips nervously and whispered, "Is Yanyan at the hospital? Something seems to have happened with her kid."

"Your dad found out earlier and got so angry he fell to the floor—he couldn’t get up for quite a while!"

"Go check on her at the hospital, and don’t infuriate your father anymore!"

Bo Yunshen’s eyes darkened.

This serious?

That brat Yinyin—could she really have contracted something severe?

He asked in a low voice, "Is Yinyin’s condition truly bad?"

Mrs. Bo didn’t want to bring up Yinyin at all, but since Yunshen had asked, she spoke cautiously to prepare him mentally. "From what Yanyan said, there’s a risk Yinyin might go blind."

Under the shifting hospital lights, Bo Yunshen’s pupils shrank abruptly.

Blind?

Scenes from Xing Yue Bay flashed across his mind. Back then, he hadn’t remotely considered that Yinyin’s condition might be so critical!

Could this be Yanyan’s way of taking revenge?

Ending the call abruptly, he grabbed his car keys and headed out.

"Yunshen!"

Lin Man grabbed him by the arm. Her eyes were clear and bright, a sharp contrast to the decadence of the bar.

"Are you leaving? I just overheard your call—has something happened to Yinyin?"

Thinly pressing his lips, Bo Yunshen said, "I’m heading to the hospital. After all, Yanyan is still my wife. If I don’t go to offer some comfort, I’ll be called heartless."

Lin Man’s gaze darkened.

Yunshen had never cared about what others said—since when would he be concerned over mere accusations?

Her intuition told her he was brushing her off.

Clutching his wrist tightly, Lin Man tightened her grip as if unwilling to let go. "Yunshen, you’ve been drinking. Let me come with you!"

For the first time in all their time together, Yunshen pulled his arm free, his emotionless gaze turning her into a stranger.

"No need, Manman. You should return to the hotel. Right now, Yinyin can’t be startled—she doesn’t really like you. I’ll drive alone and be careful."

Lin Man’s eyes wavered, her nails digging deep into her palms.

She stared fixedly at Yunshen’s retreating figure. The white shirt on his back, soaked in the bar’s swirling lights, morphed into a nameless shade—eventually disappearing from view.

Yinyin again!

That bastard again!

...

When Bo Yunshen arrived at the hospital, he didn’t immediately head to the ward. Instead, he requested Yinyin’s medical records.

As the majority shareholder of Tong City Central Hospital, whatever he wanted was promptly delivered—even the attending physician came over to report.

Yinyin underwent vision testing; originally, the little one’s vision was normal, but her records now showed a dip to about 0.4.

Others might not perceive the impact of the results, but the drastically low figure left Yunshen trembling internally.

After all, Yinyin had been calling him "Dad" for nearly two months.

There was no way he could remain indifferent.

Resting the file on the desk, his tone turned icy: "Can the child’s eyes still be treated?"

The doctor was taken aback.

After a long pause, he finally spoke cautiously: "The child’s condition isn’t that serious, Mr. Bo. Didn’t Mrs. Bo mention it to you?"

Yunshen’s deep-set eyes lingered on the doctor, casting an intimidating pressure.

The doctor swallowed hard before continuing in a subdued voice, "Miss Bo has contracted a parasite, but it was detected early... With treatment, it won’t impair the child’s vision."

Yunshen’s eyes visibly tightened further.

"Mrs. Bo seems quite knowledgeable about parasitic infections. She... hasn’t discussed this with you?"
