Chapter 334: Chapter 334 Yunshen Dotes on Yinyin, There’s Nothing I Can Do

Bo Yunshen’s lips twitched in the front—look, still, only Manman cared about him!

He didn’t believe it. Saying this much, could Qin Yan still not feel guilty?

Hearing his words, Qin Yan reached up to smooth her hair and said with a smile, "Miss Lin, Yunshen dotes on Yinyin, and there’s nothing I can do about it!"

"You wouldn’t know, previously when Yunshen’s back was whipped bloody by the old man, Yunshen was still holding onto Yinyin!"

"You don’t have children yet, so you wouldn’t understand! One day, when you have kids of your own, you’ll fully grasp this feeling!"

Qin Yan couldn’t put up with Lin Man’s pretentious act anymore. After a brief pause, her response was even more cuttingly pretentious.

Since Bo Yunshen’s sudden departure without a word eleven years ago, her heart and mind no longer had a place in his. For eleven years, all her unwavering devotion to him yielded nothing but excruciating pain.

She, Qin Yan, was not a masochist.

As expected, Lin Man’s face contorted slightly.

Bo Yunshen’s forward steps halted.

Why must he shower affection on Qin Yinyin?

Was something wrong with him? Why go out of his way for a child of uncertain paternity?!

Did he owe Qin Yinyin something?

Even now, Qin Yan was still scheming how to sabotage his bond with Manman?!

This wishful thinking of hers was utterly naive, wasn’t it?!

Bo Yunshen turned his head back, casting Qin Yan a faint glance.

Although it revealed no particular emotion, that glance was enough to inform Lin Man that the situation wasn’t as Qin Yan described.

The storm clouds on Lin Man’s face dissipated, and she smiled shyly at Bo Yunshen, saying, "Yunshen, my Emerald Earring..."

Now it was Qin Yan’s turn to stiffen. She glanced toward Lin Man.

On the woman’s fair earlobe, only one earring hung—a vividly green emerald that accentuated her pale, translucent skin.

Bo Yunshen had a flash of realization—yesterday, wasn’t Lin Man wearing only that one earring?

When had it gone missing?

Later, when he went in search of Qin Yan, he hadn’t even noticed.

He licked his lips, initially intending to say he’d give her another set, but then he recognized that this particular earring was part of a pair Lin Man’s grandmother had gifted her.

Three years ago, before Lin Man left, she’d mentioned this pair to him multiple times.

Suddenly Bo Yunshen understood: for Lin Man to bring it up now, she likely thought she’d lost it at Bai Le Men during the fire and wanted his help to retrieve it.

"Manman, the fire at Bai Le Men yesterday was too intense—it might be hard to get it back..."

On Lin Man’s face appeared a faint sorrow. After some thought, Bo Yunshen lowered his voice and said, "In that case, you can give me the one you have left, and I’ll do my best to have someone craft a perfect replica for you."

Qin Yan stood silently, a faint smile curling her lips.

Her heart clenched painfully tight.

Initially, the explanations Lu Yi and Lin Man had given were inconsistent, and she clung to the faintest hope...

But now it seemed that when Lu Yi claimed back then he saved Lin Man, it was probably just to avoid hurting her.

After all...

In Bo Yunshen’s mind, she was inferior to Lin Man—it was just slightly easier to accept than being less significant than one of Lin Man’s earrings!

Qin Yan had never felt more humiliated.

Not even when Lin Man once knelt at her side, begging her to bear Bo Yunshen’s child on her behalf, had she felt this kind of shame.

She had once believed that Bo Yunshen deeply loved her, especially in front of Lin Man.

But now, all of their past had been torn apart by Bo Yunshen himself, reduced to ashes, leaving no trace behind.

Suddenly, Qin Yan chuckled. Reaching into the pocket of her sun-protection jacket, she pulled out an earring and softly asked, "Is this the one?"

Lin Man’s eyes lit up instantly.

Bo Yunshen froze in place, stiff as stone.

Why was Manman’s earring in Qin Yan’s possession?

"Yanyan? Why is this with you?"

Qin Yan’s eyelashes lowered slightly as she murmured, "The doctor gave it to me, said they found it on Yunshen’s clothes. I thought it was mine."

Bo Yunshen glanced at Qin Yan.

Her expression was inscrutable. For some reason, seeing her like this made him feel an inexplicable sense of guilt.

Almost like he had committed adultery during their marriage.

Bo Yunshen cleared his throat and dismissed the thought—why should he feel guilty?

Qin Yan had plenty of close male confidants; the figurative "green hats" she’d crowned him with far outnumbered what she could accuse him of!

If anyone should feel guilty, it should be her—Qin Yan!

Qin Yan glanced sideways at Bo Yunshen before placing the earring in Lin Man’s hand.

"Yanyan, thank you."

This simple gratitude felt like a blade plunging into Qin Yan’s heart, leaving it bleeding profusely.

"No need."

Qin Yan smiled faintly, her lashes fluttering. The sunlight filtering through made her seem faintly fragile, almost transparent.

She gestured toward a single-seater sofa nearby. "You guys chat; I’ll go look at some files."

Qin Yan didn’t notice that, as she turned away, Lin Man watched her retreating figure, lips curving into a meaningful smile.

After entering the hospital room, Bo Yunshen climbed onto the bed. Once the nurse was finished with preparations, she approached to set up his IV. In the space next to Bo Yunshen lay Qin Yinyin, playing with his phone.

After inserting the needle, the nurse asked, "Have you applied the burn ointment yet?"

Bo Yunshen stayed silent. The nurse turned to Qin Yan and asked again.

"Not yet..."

"What kind of wife are you? If you don’t apply ointment to his back, how will the injuries heal?"

Qin Yan nodded silently.

It wasn’t that she refused to apply it—Bo Yunshen simply wouldn’t cooperate.

"Apologies, I’ll put it on for him shortly."

The nurse snorted. "Three times a day—don’t miss any applications! Otherwise, he’ll have to stay in the hospital indefinitely!"

Qin Yan nodded again.

As soon as the nurse left, Qin Yan stood up to retrieve the ointment she’d bought earlier.

Before she even reached the bedside, the door to the hospital room was knocked on.

Qin Yan turned to look. Standing at the door was Lu Xiang, dressed in a white shirt and black tailored trousers. The straight lines of the pants emphasized her legs’ startling length and shapeliness. With light makeup on her face and a fruit basket in hand, she exuded an imposing aura.

"Xiangxiang?"

Lu Xiang’s lips curved as she strode directly inside.

"Dear Yanyan, is the Bo Family going bankrupt? How could they force you to share a hospital room with Mr. Bo!?"

Qin Yan froze.

Everyone in the Bo Family knew that Bo Yunshen had nearly died at Bai Le Men while saving her.

Not wanting to upset Mrs. Bo and Bo Yuanshan, she’d voluntarily taken care of Bo Yunshen herself. But Xiangxiang was the kind of person who’d always press her advantage mercilessly.

"Why are you here? Dressed like that—did you just come from the office?"

"Mm."

Lu Xiang offered no further explanation. Her red lips curved teasingly as she glanced at Lin Man. "And who might this be?"

Lin Man stood up from her seat and spoke softly, "I’m Lin Man, a fashion designer hired by the Bo Group."

Hearing this, Lu Xiang arched an eyebrow and shot a glance at Bo Yunshen.

In truth, she had already recognized Lin Man. Yesterday at Bai Le Men, she had been too worried about Qin Yan to look carefully.

Besides, Lu Xiang and Lin Man were not particularly acquainted and hadn’t seen each other in years. Naturally, their initial reunion struck her as unfamiliar.

Seeing her again today, it clicked for her.
