Bo Yunshen called out, and Lin Man’s body stiffened, her almond eyes quickly welling up with tears.

"Mr. Bo, why are you here?"

She gave up resisting and huddled in Bo Yunshen’s embrace, her slender, pale fingers cautiously climbing up to her face to wipe away half of her tears.

"Mr. Bo?"

"Manman, I’m not your boss!"

Lin Man forced a smile, and because of his words, her tears fell like pearls off a string, streaming down uncontrollably.

Bo Yunshen was caught off guard by her crying.

These days, he had been with Qin Yan, who was always calm, her expression unchanged by any insult he might hurl her way unless it involved Yinyin, let alone crying because of a single remark.

No, Qin Yan could hardly be considered a woman; how could he compare Manman to Qin Yan?

Bo Yunshen’s astonishment lasted only a moment before he instinctively reached out to steady Lin Man by her shoulders.

He grabbed Bo Yunshen’s arm, ready to head out, but as the man moved, the slim figure behind him caught Gu Jinyan’s eye.

Gu Jinyan’s smile vanished from his face in an instant.

Lin Man was dressed in a simple white dress made of chiffon, which accentuated her slender figure. Standing under the intermittently flickering twilight lights, she seemed strikingly out of place.

Gu Jinyan glanced at her once, then turned his head to Bo Yunshen and said, "Tsk, Old Bo, you brought a beauty with you, and you still asked me to come to some bar?"

His gaze swept over Lin Man momentarily.

A light, shallow smile was on her face, and Gu Jinyan couldn’t help but compare Lin Man with Qin Yan.

After all, Qin Yan was bold and assertive in her actions. Even though she didn’t work at Bo Group, Gu Jinyan could still hear Qin Yan’s name everywhere.

He pondered her words.

The biggest difference between her and Qin Yan, he guessed, was that Qin Yan would never be so reliant on a man!

After the meal, Bo Yunshen received a call from Xu Lin.

The night had enveloped the outside, and with a slight movement of his eyebrows, he excused himself, heading to the restroom of Twilight to take the call.

As soon as he answered, Xu Lin tentatively probed,

"Mr. Bo, I’ve retrieved the test results."

"Should I give them to you tomorrow, or bring them over now?"

Bo Yunshen hesitated for a moment. He glanced outside where Lin Man and Gu Jinyan sat across from each other under the scattered lights, her figure slight, as if a breeze could whisk her away.

"You..." Bo Yunshen paused for a moment then said in a low voice, "Half an hour later, bring them to the Ritz-Carlton."

"Okay, Mr. Bo!"

With the call ended, the ambiance in Twilight had changed.

By evening, it had transformed into a different style, with music floating through the air and lights swaying—a corrupt yet moving scene.

When Bo Yunshen returned to his seat, there were several scantily clad women standing by the table.

Lin Man was looking down, her face hidden in the dim surroundings, completely at odds with the surrounding frivolity!
