Qin Yan wanted to say something, but paused as she saw his surprise.

Bo Yunshen, seemingly oblivious, rolled up his sleeve and spoke in his deep, magnetic voice, uttering the coldest words:

"Also, didn’t Director Qin insist yesterday that it was me who wanted to kidnap your daughter?"

"I wouldn’t dare to be alone with your daughter, because if anything happens to her, I bet my life would have to be given to you!"

The last trace of alarm also faded from Qin Yan’s bright eyes.

Without a word, she remained silent.

When the two reached the car, Bo Yunshen opened the passenger door without any gentleness, shoved Qin Yan in, and slammed the door shut.

Then, Bo Yunshen got in the car, started the engine, and the vehicle shot off like an arrow released from its bow.

The car spun beautifully in place and merged onto the road, into the traffic flow.

At this time, it was the peak hour for work, and by the time they arrived at Jin Yang Guang Kindergarten, half an hour had passed.

Qin Yan put a small backpack on Qin Yinyin, greeted Bo Yunshen, and took Yinyin’s hand into the kindergarten.

With Mrs. Yue’s incident only a couple of days past, Qin Yan felt uneasy and only left after seeing Qin Yinyin to the classroom door.

By the time Qin Yan came out, Bo Yunshen’s figure was gone from the entrance of Jin Yang Guang.

Qin Yan hesitated, thinking Bo Yunshen had moved the car, but after not finding him, she took out her phone to call Bo Yunshen.

"Hello?"

"Yunshen, I’m out. Where are you?"

Bo Yunshen’s voice came through the phone with a blend of his unique coldness: "On the way back to the company."

Qin Yan: "..."

"Why didn’t you wait for me?"

Qin Yan stood at the kindergarten entrance, having looked for Bo Yunshen for a while, now feeling like a fool.

He sneered, "Are you questioning me?"

"Director Qin, I’ve already done my duty by bringing you and your daughter to the kindergarten. Is there any reason I must wait for you?"

"I didn’t mean that, but Yunshen, even if you were going to leave, you should’ve told me. I’ve waited here for you for a long time."

As she spoke, Qin Yan started hailing a taxi roadside. Thankfully, Jin Yang Guang wasn’t far from Bo Group. Any further and she didn’t know how long it would take to reach the office.

Oddly, Bo Yunshen didn’t hang up.

Bo Yunshen really could spin a tale. She only had one male friend, Lu Yi, and to her, Lu Yi was not any "distinguished guest."

But Qin Yan couldn’t be bothered to explain so much to Bo Yunshen, clearly knowing that no matter what she said, he wouldn’t believe her!

Qin Yan licked her slightly dry lips and responded, "Mr. Bo is right. Since you’ve already left, I won’t idle away the time with you."

"I still have to call my admirers and see who has time to pick me up for work!"

Having said that, Qin Yan hung up immediately.

Just then, a car stopped beside her, and Qin Yan opened the door and gave the driver an address.

The sudden hang-up made Bo Yunshen’s face tense, his dark pupils shrinking.

He glanced at his phone screen, his face turning cold as ice, and even the temperature in the car seemed to drop.

She even dared to hang up on him!

Bo Yunshen, angry, threw his phone onto the passenger seat, floored the accelerator, and in under five minutes, the car was parked in the underground garage of Bo Group.

Bo Yunshen headed straight to his office. After spending a night at Xing Yue Bay, he hadn’t changed his clothes yet. Upon reaching his office, he stripped off his expensive shirt and tossed it on the ground of the resting room.

The bandages wrapped around his body did not detract from his demeanor; instead, they accentuated his lean physique, becoming even more appealing.

Bo Yunshen casually pulled out another shirt from the wardrobe and put it on.

Buttoning up the shirt to the very top, Bo Yunshen’s expression remained indifferent, his whole presence tinged with a hint of asceticism.

Bo Yunshen licked his lips, processed a few important documents on his desk, and then called Xu Lin into his office.

Having dealt with an issue concerning a small building project in the middle of the night, Xu Lin looked somewhat worn out.

He perked up and entered the office.

Bo Yunshen didn’t even lift his eyelid, focused on the document in his hands, and upon hearing movement, spoke directly:

"Go, compile a list of employees who... have been late in the past three days."

Xu Lin jolted at the command.

Seemingly out of the blue, the president was taking an interest in HR matters...

Furrowing his brows, Xu Lin wondered... could it be that Director Qin was late today?

Seeing that Xu Lin didn’t move, Bo Yunshen raised his head, throwing a sharp glance, prompting Xu Lin to straighten his back at once.

"What? Is there something else?"

Xu Lin shook his head, and Bo Yunshen’s gaze grew colder. He scanned Xu Lin up and down and said in a calm voice, "You have three minutes!"

Upon hearing this, Xu Lin stopped trying to figure out if there was another issue between Bo Yunshen and Qin Yan, and promptly left the president’s office.

Once the list was compiled, Xu Lin brought it straight to Bo Yunshen.

There were not too many or too few latecomers, and Bo Yunshen’s eyes swiftly scanned to the last name on the list.

His usually expressionless face creased with a frown: "Are you sure you haven’t missed anyone?"

To Bo Yunshen’s surprise, Qin Yan’s name wasn’t there?

Though Jin Yang Guang is not far from Bo Group, both locations are in the city center. Tong City traffic is congested, and in just a few minutes, it was impossible for Qin Yan to have reached Bo Group!

His face twisted into a cold sneer, and Xu Lin shivered.
