"Are you dead?"

Qin Yan sat up from the ground, her arms covered in moss from the riverbank, carrying a strong fishy smell.

She picked up an object, and even though it was dark, Bo Yunshen could tell that it was a pair of children’s shoes.

"Yinyin’s shoes?"

Qin Yan murmured, her heart seemingly seized by a large hand, breath catching, eyes gazing out into the vast water.

She took out her phone from her pocket and hastily called the rescue team in Tong City.

As soon as the call connected, Qin Yan’s tears began to flow.

The rain was heavy, and Bo Yunshen was standing not too far away, able to hear the content of Qin Yan’s call.

"My daughter might have fallen into the East Suburb Reservoir!"

"Three years old!"

"Please, save her!"

Qin Yan wiped her face, unsure if the droplets were from the rain or her tears.

"The East Suburb Reservoir is on the mountain, right? What were you doing up there? With the rainstorm outside, our rescue personnel can’t even make it up the mountain!"

Qin Yan’s crying stopped abruptly, and she lifted her head from the bend of her legs, glaring at Bo Yunshen resentfully.

Bo Yunshen was displeased.

During the three years of their marriage, Qin Yan rarely met him, but every time, her gaze was either reverent or soft and gentle!

This was the first time Bo Yunshen saw hatred in her eyes!

In the moment he was stunned, Qin Yan had already clambered up from the ground and lunged at him.
