Bo Yunshen’s hand felt for the pocket on his dress pants, his fingertips stirred, and his gaze suddenly darkened.

He looked over at Qin Yinyin, who was gasping for breath and crying in Qin Yan’s arms, feeling a surge of unease.

Qin Yinyin was indeed still young, and it was pitiable enough for her to fall ill from eating too much ice cream, let alone being scared by such an incident.

Bo Yunshen hadn’t expected Qin Yinyin to wake up in the middle of the night, and just so happened to catch him cutting her hair.

He took a deep breath.

However, before he left the sickroom, neither Qin Yan nor Qin Yinyin had awakened despite his significant movements.

You think I’d use the scissors to harm your daughter? Director Qin, keep your fears to yourself. You’re not worth me leaving my carefree life to rot in a cell!"

Qin Yan’s eyes reddened, her arms around Qin Yinyin trembled.

It felt as if her heart was being torn apart, and the only thing that flashed through her mind were the words Bo Yunshen had said the night before.

The white pillow fell to his feet, and Bo Yunshen’s expression grew colder than before.

Qin Yan ignored this, got out of bed barefoot, her slender body standing in front of Qin Yinyin’s hospital bed, and pointed to the door, "Get out! You’re not welcome here!"

Bo Yunshen was so furious he nearly laughed.

Director Qin sure put on a great front. Just who was it last night that, through threats and bribes and begging, insisted I stay? And now she says I’m not welcome?

The "bang" was exceptionally loud.

Leaving the sickroom, Bo Yunshen’s mood grew even darker, as if there was a wicked fury inside him with nowhere to vent.

He licked his lips, reaching into his pocket for a cigarette.

But as his fingertips brushed against something, he pulled out a collection bag instead, which contained the hair he had carefully snipped.

A vein pulsed on Bo Yunshen’s forehead, his face turning cyanotic in anger, and he threw the collection bag into the hallway trash can without a moment’s hesitation.

He had truly seen a ghost tonight, doubting that Qin Yinyin could be related to him?!

In this lifetime, he would only ever have children with Manman, only ever be involved with Manman!

What was Qin Yan anyway?!

Bo Yunshen found his mood even worse, the air in the hallway was hardly pleasant. Even in an Svip ward, it was still a hospital after all. Although faint, the smell of disinfectant made Bo Yunshen feel uncomfortable.

It was already two in the morning, and Bo Yunshen’s phone screen displayed over twenty missed calls.

With his mind preoccupied with other matters, Bo Yunshen ignored them and after some hesitation dialed Gu Jinyan’s number.

Right before it was about to automatically disconnect, the call was answered with a burst of swearing.

"Old Bo, do you not look at the time when you call?"

Upon hearing this, Bo Yunshen glanced at the time again and said, "What’s the time anyway, Old Gu, aren’t you the ’don’t sleep till dawn’ sort?"

Gu Jinyan: "..."

He didn’t have the habit of turning off his phone when sleeping, and having his dreams disturbed by Bo Yunshen left him no choice but to accept his fate.
