Chapter 139 Miss Bo
Chapter 139: Chapter 139 Miss Bo
Bo Yunshen’s gaze grew more profound.
Had it been any ordinary child, they would’ve started eating on their own already! He didn’t expect this little brat to be so sensible.
He leaned back as his voice deepened, "Eat it yourself."
Qin Yinyin complied smoothly, pulling back her hand and stuffing the ice cream into her mouth.
She squinted her eyes, her chubby little face mirroring the expression of the Garfield cat in front of her.
The corner of Bo Yunshen’s mouth twitched, his fingertips touching the cigarette pack, when suddenly a little spoon appeared.
"Daddy, let’s eat together."
Qin Yinyin glanced at his large hand holding the pack of cigarettes and added, "Mom said smoking is harmful to your health, so eat ice cream with me instead."
Bo Yunshen: "..."
He averted his gaze, sweeping over the items in front of Qin Yinyin.
Colorful and partially melting despite the air conditioning being on inside.
The expression on his face darkened as he turned his head away, showing no inclination to accept the little spoon.
Who would want to eat such messy food with this little nuisance?
"Daddy, don’t worry, I won’t tell Mom."
Bo Yunshen’s brows throbbed as he reluctantly took the spoon and scooped up a bite of the ice cream closest to him.
The coolness spread from his mouth, dispelling the persistent heat on his body.
The dessert shop had other snacks too, and Qin Yinyin had ordered a large assortment—jelly, small cakes, and various sweets were spread out on the table, leaving Bo Yunshen with no room to begin.
He frowned slightly as his phone buzzed.
It was a message from Xu Lin, a concept video from the R&D department.
He glanced at Qin Yinyin, who was eating, and after a flicker of his fingertip, he played the video.
The short clip, running about five minutes, demanded Bo Yunshen’s serious attention. Despite the lively dessert shop, he was as focused as if in meditation.
After watching the video, he looked up to find the seat opposite him empty.
Bo Yunshen’s pupils contracted sharply as he abruptly stood up, scanning around, until he finally spotted Qin Yinyin outside the dessert shop.
A wildfire seemed to light in his heart.
Just moments ago, he had praised Qin Yinyin for her sensibility, but she couldn’t even last five minutes without showing her true colors!
With the crowds in Huan Le Valley, she dared to wander off!
This must be a bad habit instilled by Qin Yan, right?!
If the child was lost, it certainly wouldn’t be Bo Yunshen’s responsibility!
He pushed open the shop door and marched up to Qin Yinyin, who was standing next to a little boy about her age.
The boy seemed to have taken a fall, with the fabric around him so dirty that its original appearance was indecipherable, his tear-streaked face covered in dirt and snot.
Bo Yunshen paused. Accustomed to seeing Qin Yinyin tidy and clean after being taken care of by Qin Yan, the sight of such a child made him involuntarily furrow his brows.
Qin Yinyin, unaware of Bo Yunshen approaching, held a little cake and, with a small spoon, fed the boy a bite, whispering, "Don’t be scared, I’ll stay with you until your mom comes."
"Don’t cry, this cake is really tasty; try it!"
Qin Yinyin stood in front of the little boy, herself just a three-year-old, yet there she was holding a cake, consoling a child of a similar age.
The scene had a touch of comedy, yet Bo Yunshen found it hard to laugh.
The female waitress standing to the side saw him coming out and said with a smile, "Mr. Bo, I’m sorry, but this boy got lost from his mom, and he just fell and cried for quite a while. It’s all thanks to Miss Bo!"
Miss Bo?
Bo Yunshen’s gaze narrowed, and before a multitude of emotions could rise from the depths of his heart, the waitress continued, "Mr. Bo, you’ve raised Miss Bo so well. This is the first time I’ve seen such a sensible child."
"Kids usually have a strong possessiveness over their own things, but Miss Bo was willing to share her food with other children. That’s really nice..."
Bo Yunshen’s ears buzzed as he found the waitress annoying, yet a strange feeling emerged within him when she praised Qin Yinyin.
Is Miss Bo Qin Yinyin?
His breath hitched.
No, she wasn’t his daughter, and she certainly didn’t bear the surname Bo!
Moreover, Qin Yinyin wasn’t raised by him, and she wasn’t all good; she was full of mischief and even tore up his photo with Manman!
Bo Yunshen was about to object when a woman with tears streaming down her face came running over, hugging the little boy and kissing him for a while before she approached Bo Yunshen to thank him.
"Sir, she’s your daughter, right? Thank you so much... You’re truly amazing, to have raised such an exemplary child."
"If only my child could be as worry-free as your daughter, he wouldn’t have gotten lost from me today!"
Bo Yunshen pinched the suddenly aching spot between his eyebrows.
"Daddy, I..."
Had the woman not thanked Bo Yunshen, Qin Yinyin wouldn’t have even noticed him.
Although she had spent only a few days with Bo Yunshen, she had been raised by her mother alone from a young age and had honed the skill of reading people’s expressions. Even though Bo Yunshen’s expression remained unchanged, her small frame still quivered.
She reached out to grasp the hem of Bo Yunshen’s clothes, and when the crowd around them dispersed, she dared to look up at him and asked, "Daddy, are you angry?"
Bo Yunshen glanced at her, but didn’t respond. The small cake she held in her hand she had given to the boy, her fingers still smeared with cream, probably from feeding the child.
Bo Yunshen wiped her fingers clean with a tissue, and his chiseled face grew even more gloomy.
He squatted beside her, and Qin Yinyin wrapped her arms around Bo Yunshen’s neck, her face stretching into an overly sweet smile.
"Daddy, I know you must agree with what I did."
Bo Yunshen: "..."
He stretched out his hand to pinch Qin Yinyin’s waist and lifted her from the ground, his facial lines tensing together, his tone as chilly as ever, "If you run around again, I won’t care for you!"
"Hehe."
Qin Yinyin wasn’t scared at all, even laughing out loud. She was just too adorable, her laugh like a fluffy, sweet little cupcake, endlessly seeping into the depths of one’s heart.
Bo Yunshen uncomfortably turned his head away, snorting coldly.
He wasn’t complimenting her, and he didn’t know what this brat was so gleefully happy about!
If he weren’t worried about Qin Yan coming at him in a fury, he wouldn’t have bothered with her!
After carrying Qin Yinyin a few steps, the girl’s smiling face froze, beads of sweat suddenly appearing on her forehead, her hand cradling her stomach: "Daddy... my stomach hurts!"
Bo Yunshen turned his head sharply at her voice, seeing Qin Yinyin’s little face as pale as a sheet of paper, tears welling up in her deep, glossy eyes.
Qin Yinyin bit her lip and curled up in his arms as if enduring the pain, "Daddy, my stomach hurts... wuwuwu."
Bo Yunshen seemingly felt Qin Yinyin’s pain, holding her tight as his eyebrows furrowed, opening his mouth with a slightly hoarse voice, "What’s wrong? Why does your stomach suddenly hurt?"
