Chapter 348: Chapter 349: Lost All Face

Whenever he sees Huo Tian, he can’t stand tall and speak confidently in front of him.

Given Tang Lei’s current strength, why does he sit by as Shangguan Feihong marries Su Qingtian without taking any action? It’s because of Huo Tian; he doesn’t even dare to touch a hair on Su Qingtian!

“I didn’t attack him,” Tang Lei said.

Huo Tian chuckled, looking at Tang Xiangdong, and said, “If you weren’t backing him, would such a coward have the courage to make a move?”

Tang Xiangdong didn’t know who Huo Tian was, but felt that the old man who just entered spoke arrogantly and directly called him a coward!

“Old man, who are you calling a coward? You’re half a step into the grave already, where do you get the audacity to butt in?” Tang Xiangdong said scornfully, looking coldly at Huo Tian.

Huo Tian didn’t get angry, instead finding it amusing, a gentle smile appeared on his face. He laughed and said to Tang Lei, “What is Tang Xiangdong to you? A protégé or a pawn?”

“That’s none of your business,” Tang Lei replied coldly.

“My disciple was beaten, so as his master, it’s only right for me to help him regain face,” Huo Tian said.

Tang Lei clenched his fist; Huo Tian was clearly provoking him, but he couldn’t make a move against Huo Tian. He wasn’t even qualified to strike, and even if he did, there would be no chance of winning.

“As an elder, if you lay a hand on the younger ones, isn’t that a bit inappropriate?” Tang Lei said.

Huo Tian raised his eyebrows, nodded, “There’s some truth to that. Chang Feng, since your master can’t get revenge for you, it’s time to see what you’re capable of. Don’t worry, if anyone dares to interfere, Grandpa Huo will stop them.”

“Thank you, Grandpa Huo,” Su Changfeng said with a cold smile towards Tang Xiangdong.

Tang Xiangdong shuddered instinctively; how could he possibly defeat Su Changfeng? Without Tang Lei’s support, he wouldn’t dare confront Su Changfeng. If he were to fight Su Changfeng alone, he’d likely end up dead.

Tang Xiangdong hid behind Tang Lei, saying, “You have to help me, otherwise I’m not his match.”

Though Tang Xiangdong wasn’t his disciple, he instigated this whole affair. Initially, he was backing Tang Xiangdong, but now Huo Tian proposed they settle it one-on-one; it was a matter of face between him and Huo Tian. Yet, Tang Xiangdong didn’t even dare to fight, and now Tang Lei’s face was completely lost!

“Tang Lei, I didn’t expect you to be so weak, can’t even stand to watch! What’s the point in making use of such rubbish?” Huo Tian laughed.

Tang Lei gritted his teeth and coldly said, “If you don’t want to die right this moment, then go and fight for me!”

Su Hao looked desperate; clearly, Tang Lei wouldn’t help, but he was no match for Su Changfeng!

Had he known it would turn out like this, he wouldn’t have acted so arrogantly in front of Su Changfeng. He even hit him earlier and now Su Changfeng must be furious; he would surely show no mercy.

Tang Lei stepped aside as Tang Xiangdong saw Su Changfeng walking towards him, his legs slowly losing strength.

He had been beaten by Su Changfeng many times before, so he was very aware of the gap in strength between them.

Even though Tang Xiangdong always thought of Su Changfeng as a coward and never acknowledged his power, he was still afraid of Su Changfeng’s fists!

“Su Changfeng, I was wrong earlier. I’m sorry; I acted out of foolishness,” Tang Xiangdong pleaded, looking at Su Changfeng.

Su Changfeng still had blood on his face, appearing like a demon; his current appearance almost scared Tang Xiangdong to death.

“Don’t be afraid; to you, I’m just a coward. What’s there to fear?” Su Changfeng said coldly.

Thud!

Tang Xiangdong fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face, saying, “I beg you, don’t hit me anymore. I’m a coward, a maggot. You’re the husband of the Tang Family’s chairman now; why bother with someone like me?”

Seeing such a scene, Tang Lei felt disgusted. If there was any other choice, Tang Xiangdong wouldn’t even be an option for him!

“Tang Lei, do you know who he resembles now?” Huo Tian asked Tang Lei.

Tang Lei remained silent; his reputation was thoroughly ruined by Tang Xiangdong.

“He’s just like Su Wei Jun. Everyone thought Su Family’s future lay with Su Wei Jun, but he was the true coward. Shangguan Feihong was merely deceived by villains,” Huo Tian continued.

“Regardless of who the coward is, it doesn’t matter to me. You know my intentions,” Tang Lei said.

“You’re not young anymore, why make it so you can’t enjoy your old age?” Huo Tian asked helplessly shaking his head.

“Are you so certain I’m the one who’ll lose?”

“Absolutely!” Huo Tian replied without hesitation.

At this time, Tang Xiangdong was already beaten into the corner by Su Changfeng, not daring to fight back, taking fewer punches was already a relief.

Tang Xiangdong, now battered, couldn’t even manage to beg for mercy, feeling as if his body shattered completely, in pain and despair.

After Su Changfeng stopped, he returned to Huo Tian’s side.

“If you’re not dead, leave with me now.” After speaking, Tang Lei left the room first.

Even though Tang Xiangdong just wanted to lay there in pain, seeing Tang Lei leave, he glanced at Su Changfeng. If he didn’t follow, he’d risk dying here, so he forced himself up and hurriedly followed Tang Lei out.

Now, the room was left with just Su Changfeng and Huo Tian. Huo Tian looked at Su Changfeng, face stained with blood, his expression filled with pain as he said, “Since Tang Lei was young, he liked Shangguan Feihong, and the fact that you killed Shangguan Feihong, Tang Lei probably already knows. That’s why he’s supporting Tang Xiangdong against you.”

“Frankly, he plans to help Su Wei Jun take back the Su Family, but to me, the Su Family means nothing, and I won’t take any of their assets,” Su Changfeng said.

Huo Tian nodded; he understood this well. Long ago, Su Changfeng no longer considered himself part of the Su Family, so why would he take anything from them?

“Tang Lei isn’t easy to deal with; do you need me to help?” Huo Tian asked.

Su Changfeng didn’t hesitate, shaking his head: “Grandpa Huo, I can handle them, trust me.”

Huo Tian had anticipated Su Changfeng’s answer. With his resilient nature, it was unlikely he’d ask for help; otherwise, he wouldn’t be Su Changfeng.

“You stubborn guy, you’ve been shouldering everything since you were young. But occasionally, you need to relax, don’t push yourself too hard, or it’ll be detrimental,” Huo Tian said.
