The Chick Class Hunter is Being Filial -
Chapter 124
"Why... why do you keep following me?!"
Thankfully, there was no way a wobbly little four-year-old could catch up to him.
As the sound of the wobbly toddler’s footsteps faded behind him, Ham Honggi gradually slowed his pace.
Is it safe now?
Panting hard, Guru pointed a tiny finger at him from a distance.
“Hanghanggi!”
“Y-Yes!”
Ham Honggi darted over and dropped to his knees in front of the child. His body had moved before his brain could process it.
What... what the hell?! Why did I... Why the hell am I doing this bullshit?
Guru looked just as surprised. Her round eyes blinked a few times.
Oh?
All she’d done was call out because he kept running away, but this reaction?
Thinking for a moment, she reached one conclusion.
No way... is it because I registered him as my follower inside the RP-Rank Dungeon?
Dazed by the unexpected situation, Guru slowly curled one corner of her lips upward into a mischievous smile.
Gwuu got a minion!
Before long, Gidan spotted them and burst out laughing. Ham Honggi squeezed his eyes shut in shame.
“Hanghanggi, yuh being good, wight?”
“Y-Yes!”
“Ungh, dat’s good to heaw.”
She tried so hard to sound dignified, but absolutely no authority came across.
The truly ridiculous part, though, was Ham Honggi bowing his head to that cute little voice without hesitation.
Just then, some people trailing behind them, filming the waddling adorable toddler, began whispering while staring at Ham Honggi.
“What’s he doing? Punishment or something?”
“Poor guy~”
“That’s fuckin’ hilarious.”
Fuck!
Thanks to Ham Honggi kneeling dramatically in front of Guru, more people started crowding around.
The ones laughing at him recognized Gidan and eagerly stepped closer.
“Where’s the Life Pavilion?”
“Is it true Iromi and Shin Nayeon are at the café?”
As the barrage of questions targeted Gidan, Guru furrowed her brows and came to his rescue.
“Nyeh! If you go to da café, da unni bwing you youw food!”
“Unni?”
“Aww, she’s so cute.”
The crowd’s attention began to spread to Guru as well.
“If ya come to da café, Gwuu show you magic too!”
Guru wiggled her little duck grabber.
“Magic?”
“Yesh! Duckie magic!”
Guru snapped the grabber open and shut.
Snap snap!

A café’s gotta have vibe!
Iromi’s part-time café experience after quitting trainee life was finally paying off today.
“Order here!”
“Over here! We wanna order! Can we get autographs too?”
“Oh! Then us too! We want autographs!”
The Life Pavilion was packed with rowdy noise as customers flooded in.
Nayeon, Iromi, and Gidan helped with serving food and offering autographs and photo ops.
Even Ham Honggi, who’d joined late, was now carrying bowls piled with fruit to the tables.
The S-Class freshman class rep, feeling proud at how fast the stock was selling, narrowed her eyes when she spotted Ham Honggi.
“Hey, Geonwoo... isn’t that senior Ham Honggi? What the hell’s he doing serving food?”
The youngest son of the Hunter Association President, pampered rich kid Ham Honggi, was already notorious at school.
His family background alone made him stand out, but his B-Rank Awakening level wasn’t low either—plus, he was a known troublemaker.
“Yeah... What’s a guy like him doing here?”
Not exactly the type to volunteer for this stuff.
The entire S-Class freshman group looked puzzled at his presence—until Gidan clapped Ham Honggi’s back as he passed by, laughing.
If Gidan had roped him into this, it wasn’t surprising. Gidan messing with the third-year delinquent? Totally believable.
“Duck Bingsu, order up!”
Feeling countless stares prickling at him, Ham Honggi set the bowl down on the table.
“Um... there’s no ice?”
The bowl was filled only with fruit and syrup, no ice in sight.
At that moment, Guru waddled over behind Ham Honggi and peeked her little face over the table.
“Nyeeeh!”
The customers all lowered their gazes toward her.
At the appearance of the adorable baby holding a duck grabber, everyone’s lips curled into smiles.
“I give you ice now!”
Guru shook the duck grabber with determination.
It was finally time to show off Iromi’s signature ‘café vibe’ strategy!
Guru recited the chant Iromi taught her.
“Be yummyyy, be yummyyy! Bbyong!”
Pouring her magic power in, Guru conjured a snow duck.
A fluffy white snow duck landed right atop the mountain of fruit.
“Tadaaa! Duck Bingsu’s weady!”
As Guru giggled proudly, the table erupted with cheers and squeals.
“She’s sooo cute!”
The reaction was overwhelming.
From the S-Class to Iromi herself, everyone clenched their fists as they watched customers go wild for Guru.
We did it!

The gloomy Life Pavilion café now had a line stretching out the door.
Gidan and Guru peeked out at the massive crowd, their eyes sparkling as they locked gazes.
“Whoa...!”
“Amaaaazing!”
They both turned toward Iromi, who was signing autographs for eager customers.
Gidan and Guru waved their arms excitedly, sending exaggerated gestures of praise, to which Iromi chuckled and shrugged.
Nayeon walked past, patting Iromi’s back with a smile.
The entire S-Class crew was grinning from ear to ear.
Heehee.
Guru pressed her warm cheeks with her palms.
It felt like hugging a hot pack, her chest glowing with warmth.
Seeing everyone smiling made her happy too.
[Quest Complete!]
Ooh! Filial Piety Quest complete!
“Table ten! One Duck Bingsu!”
Time fow wowk!
Pumped up with determination, Guru grabbed her duck grabber and waddled over.
But then, she locked eyes with the customer sitting at table ten.
“...?”
The woman waved gently, her long blond hair swaying softly with the motion.
Guru blinked slowly.
“Hewwo, pwetty baby.”
Ahhh...
Her voice was crystal clear and beautiful, like a master-crafted bell.
Guru clutched her chest, feeling like a squirming earthworm was crawling inside.
It’s twitchy... so weird...
The pretty-voiced woman rested her chin on her hand, smiling warmly.
“Your name’s Guru, isn’t it?”
How’d she know?
“Y-Yeah... You know Gwuu?”
“I’ve heard your name all over the place. Were you surprised?”
She wasn’t wrong. Guru’s name was echoing everywhere.
It was all over the school community, thanks to her being Gidan’s little sister.
So it felt a bit weird, but not impossible.
Guru tilted her head slightly, then shook it.
“Can we get Duck Bingsu too?”
Sitting across from the woman was a student wearing oversized glasses. The name tag read: Seon Woo-gyeong.
