Chapter 513: Chapter 511: Coming to the Door to Seek Death
Rong Bai sat down hard in his chair, unable to speak for a while, overwhelmed by the sudden surprise.
"This will last us a very, very long time," Rong Bai murmured.
The soldiers accompanying him were equally excited, "We’ve been eating only leftover flour buns and some nearly expired canned goods in the cafeteria, this is really great!"
Su Mo lowered her head in thought, then raised the corners of her mouth as she looked up and said, "Then, I’ll make a decision. How about we add a meal for the entire refugee camp tonight?"
"These superpower users have been in the resource-poor P city for so long, some even going hungry, it’s indeed the right thing to do," Rong Bai nodded his head vigorously, very much agreeing with her suggestion.
At night, the center of several streets, everyone, whether superpower users or ordinary people, gathered in front of the Task Distribution Hall due to a notice.
The cafeteria steamed rice and a large bucket of fragrant wild boar meat for several hours.
Each person could line up to receive a full bowl of rice and meat.
"Who exactly is this Su Mo?" someone asked. "She’s so generous. How much food must the Space Superpower User backing her have stored to feed the entire refugee camp?"
"They say she’s the owner of Momo Restaurant, that crazily popular place recently. The dishes there are said to rival those of five-star hotels, only a bit pricier," another added.
The ability to hold such discussions was all thanks to the notice Rong Bai had posted, which shone brightly with the words "Donated by Su Mo," written in red and bold.
As for Su Mo, other than a twitch at the corner of her eye, she didn’t care much and kept herself busy inside the restaurant counting Crystal Stones until her hands were sore. She even allocated a large portion to Zhao Changsheng, whose Thunder Element was advancing a bit slow compared to theirs.
Hidden among the crowd, Zhao Li and a couple stared at the notice nearly boring a hole through it. In just a few days, he had become almost unrecognizable, driven out from his home. Now, his superpower user status and remaining Crystal Stones only got him a bedroom in a decrepit building, without enough space for his parents to sleep.
"This Su Mo, she’s a friend of Zhao Changsheng. She’s the one who got me into this mess!" Zhao Li said bitterly. He then looked up at his father and asked, "Dad, why does that despicable woman have to be so contrary?!"
At his precious son’s question, Zhao Dazhi struggled to answer, while his wife gave him a look of disgust and endured with a hint of mockery, "You should really ask your dad what he did."
"Slap!"
A heavy slap landed on Wu Xiaohui’s face, sending her tumbling to the ground.
"Shut up, if she dares touch my son, I have ways to deal with her!"
Zhao Dazhi’s expression was gloomy as he glanced at his son’s lower body and said, "Don’t worry, as long as Zhao Changsheng still bears the Zhao surname, he will have to come and kowtow to apologize and support his father."
Su Mo had completely made a name for herself in the refugee camp, not just because of the restaurant or the meal she provided but also for her tea-for-Crystal Stones initiative, which elevated her status to the same level as Rong Bai’s.
Wherever she went, people would greet her, which somewhat irritated her.
Lu Chen had been out the past few days, expanding the refugee camp. Finding a suitable area to connect with the existing camp was not an easy task. f.(r)eew ebnov\ll.com
Su Mo, living alone, was bored, aside from delivering tea to some clients at fixed times. She often ran to the community thinking about finalizing the date for the tea factory visit, planning to take Zhao Changsheng for a bit of air since P City was quite safe now.
The weather was perfect, and just as she arrived at the entrance of the community, she saw Li Qian heading out.
She called out to him, "Li Qian, where are you going?"
He paused, his normally stern eyes softening a bit on seeing her, "You’re here."
"Where’s Zhao Changsheng? Aren’t you accompanying her?"
"At home, I came out on her behalf for the appointment,"
"Appointment?"
Li Qian flashed a cold smile, hands tucked in his pockets, "Zhao Dazhi came looking for her."
Su Mo’s expression tensed, "Let’s go together."
"Hmm."
The two walked side by side, heading out to an alley previously agreed upon.
A filthy man was found picking up a cigarette stub someone had smoked down to the filter.
Hearing the footsteps, he looked up to see an extraordinary-looking man and woman approaching.
The woman was the recently famous Su Mo.
He instinctively threw away the cigarette, thinking of fleeing, but Li Qian’s spiritual power firmly nailed him in place.
"That damned... Where is Changsheng? Why is it you guys?"
The words blurted out made Su Mo’s brows furrow harshly, and she slapped the man’s aged face, "If you can’t speak properly, I wouldn’t mind ripping that mouth off for you."
"You’ve been seeking her out repeatedly, what are you trying to do?" Li Qian stood aside, his spiritual threads swirling around Zhao Dazhi’s neck. It would be as simple as crushing an ant to kill him, but he couldn’t do that just yet.
He wanted to torment these people enough before delivering them to Changsheng, to let her make an end of them.
"You... I am her father! What do you think I want with her?! If you dare touch me, just you wait!" Zhao Dazhi was panicking, his memory of Changsheng still stuck on the girl who was in junior high and didn’t know how to fight back. But now, Changsheng had a group of close friends and loved ones by her side.
Actually, without him saying it, Su Mo, who knew the backstory, could guess the gist, "Trying to use your past beastly deeds to threaten her?"
As soon as she spoke, the other’s murky eyes started to dodge, his legs trembling, but his mouth still hardened, "Bullshit! I’m her father, what can’t I do? Tell her to come see me!"
At these words, Li Qian narrowed his eyes, struggling to control the fury that threatened to tear through his gentle facade, his spiritual power crawling onto the other’s cheeks.
Zhao Dazhi’s mouth uncontrollably widened, even if it was stretched to the limit and his skin was tearing, it still kept expanding, as if it would split him in half.
The skin connected to his mouth began to tear, spattering blood, Su Mo held Li Qian’s arm, "Wait."
With the mouth stopped there, Su Mo stepped forward, not minding the disgusting mixture of saliva and blood, stuck her fingers into his mouth, and with a spindle motion, severed his entire tongue from the root.
"Mmm! Mmmmmmm!"
The pain was worse than killing Zhao Dazhi; his eyes bloodshot, he fainted.
"Annoying how you show up seeking death but can’t be allowed to die," Su Mo stomped hard on his groin, dark red blood flowing out from his crotch before she finally hooked a satisfied smile.
"Break his arms and send him to the doctor, make sure he doesn’t die from blood loss," Su Mo returned to Li Qian’s side, disgustedly pulling out a bottle of mineral water to wash her hands.
Li Qian looked down at her, his mood slightly improved, and asked, "What brought you here today?"
