Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Mr. Bo, You’re Really Nice _1 Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Mr. Bo, You’re Really Nice _1 Over at Xia Qingtian’s.
“Qingtian, you look a little off-color. Are you feeling unwell? Do you need to go to the hospital?” the Head Chef asked, his face full of concern.
Xia Qingtian’s face was somewhat pale and haggard.
“I’m fine, thank you, Chef.” Having said this, she once again broke into a violent cough.
This only made the Chef more worried.
“Qingtian, you should really get yourself checked at the hospital. If anything happens to you because you saved my grandson, our entire family would be troubled.”
Today, the Chef’s son and daughter-in-law brought their son to deliver some things to him. They were only here for a brief chat.
But somehow, the grandson had fallen into the artificial lake in Banqiu Mountain.
If Xia Qingtian hadn’t jumped into the lake and rescued the grandson on time.
Then….
The consequences were unthinkable.
Xia Qingtian was responsible for saving a family, but rules of Banqiu Mountain couldn’t be broken.
However, the Chef was willing to personally cook her a meal in his private capacity so she could invite her friends to dinner.
“I’m really fine!” Xia Qingtian insisted.
If she didn’t accompany Bo Jingyan for dinner tonight, it would seem very insincere.
She was afraid that this would upset Bo Jingyan.
Unable to convince her, the Chef didn’t say anything more.
But he did make sure to take special care of Xia Qingtian after that, not allowing her to do too much work and even made her some ginger soup.
After drinking the soup, Xia Qingtian immediately broke out into a sweat; she felt so much better.
Shortly thereafter.
It was evening.
Bo Jingyan arrived as promised.
Xia Qingtian led him to an open field outside the restaurant, where a beautiful picnic blanket was laid on the ground.
The signature dishes of Banqiu Mountain were displayed on that picnic blanket.
Colorful little lamps hung from the surrounding trees, casting a dreamlike glow, like stars falling amid the forest.
“Thud, thud, thud….”
Xia Qingtian gestured invitingly.
“Mr. Bo, this is the special open-air restaurant that I’ve prepared for you, a 360-degree view of nature. Isn’t this super thoughtful?”
After saying that, she looked at Bo Jingyan with large, earnest eyes, sparkling with anticipation.
Bo Jingyan looked at her expressionlessly.
“Xia Qingtian, do you think I’m stupid? Or are you trying to play me?”
Xia Qingtian realized that this man was not so easily fooled.
Her face fell instantly, “Mr. Bo, I’m sorry, Banqiu Mountain refused to break the rules for me and make you the eleventh guest of the day.”
“But rest assured, all of these dishes were personally cooked by Banqiu Mountain’s head chef. Apart from the dining location, everything else is exactly the same.”
As she spoke, Xia Qingtian mustered up the courage to reach out and shake Bo Jingyan’s arm a little.
In a soft, gentle voice, she said, “I’ve gone through a lot to get this meal for us. You should at least give it a try. If you’re not satisfied, I’ll figure something out, okay?”
She hadn’t realized it herself, but she was actually acting coy in front of Bo Jingyan.
Bo Jingyan’s lips curved slightly into a smile.
He obliged and sat down on the picnic blanket.
Xia Qingtian was thrilled. She immediately began fussing over him.
“Mr. Bo, you’ve been working all day, you must be really tired. Let me give you a massage.” With that said, she stood behind him and started massaging his shoulders.
Bo Jingyan offered no objections.
His eyes softened considerably.
“Mr. Bo, why don’t you try the chef’s cuisine? That dish in the middle is his specialty, it’s really delicious!”
Bo Jingyan took a bite.
“Is it delicious?” Xia Qingtian couldn’t help but pause. Her voice was full of anticipation.
She sincerely hoped, that Bo Jingyan would enjoy it, perhaps…
Once he was satisfied, he would forgive her.
Bo Jingyan chewed the food in his mouth, it was bland.
But under Xia Qingtian’s gaze, filled with expectation, he miraculously savored a lingering taste.
He nodded his head, “Hmm, not bad at all!”
Receiving a positive response, Xia Qingtian became even more delighted.
“Young master Bo, eat more. The chef’s other dishes are also very delicious.” She said, unconsciously swallowing her saliva.
She was so hungry!
She had felt a bit uncomfortable and had a slight upset stomach at noon, so she hadn’t eaten much
Bo Jingyan didn’t miss her little action; he knew she was hungry.
“Sit down and eat with me. Help me peel the shrimp while you’re at it,” he glanced at Xia Qingtian and ordered in a somewhat low voice.
“Okay,” Xia Qingtian naturally obeyed all his requests.
After she sat down, she started to peel the shrimp for Bo Jingyan.
She also took a few bites for herself to fill her stomach.
The table full of dishes was cleaned up by the two of them.
Xia Qingtian held her stomach, a look of satisfaction on her face.
Her eyes half-closed, she looked like a drowsy little fox, looking at him expectantly.
“Young master Bo, will you forgive me now?”
Just as Bo Jingyan was about to nod, suddenly…
He thought about how attentive and considerate Xia Qingtian had been to him these past few days, and didn’t want it to end so quickly.
So, he didn’t let up.
“Let me think about it a bit more.”
“Eh?” Xia Qingtian was stunned.
Bo Jingyan raised his eyes to look at her, “What? You’re not satisfied with my answer?”
“No, no…” Fearing he would misunderstand, Xia Qingtian quickly waved her hands explaining, “I didn’t expect that you, young master Bo, would be so nice to start considering this soon.”
She had deceived Bo Jingyan for so long, so many times.
Not only did Bo Jingyan not harm her physically, he didn’t even kill her.
He’s actually considering forgiving her, simply after a meal.
At that moment, Xia Qingtian suddenly felt that Bo Jingyan wasn’t so frightening after all.
From when her true identity was exposed until now, he hadn’t done anything to harm her.
Thinking this, she couldn’t help but exclaim, “Young master Bo, you are so good!”
Seeing her easily satisfied, Bo Jingyan whispered, “Fool.”
However, his cold and deep eyes were slowly melting.
Being called a fool, Xia Qingtian didn’t mind, it wasn’t as if he’d taken a piece of flesh.
“Young master Bo, the scenery at Banqiu Mountain is quite nice. Would you like to take a walk nearby?” She invited Bo Jingyan.
“Hmm.” Bo Jingyan agreed.
The two walked side by side.
Neither of them spoke, but the atmosphere was anything but awkward, surprisingly harmonious.
Suddenly.
“Bo Jingyan, you ruined my company and drove me into bankruptcy, you devil.”
“You deserve to die.”
A man emerged from the dark, charging towards Bo Jingyan.
Something flashed before Xia Qingtian’s eyes.
She blinked, and quickly recognized what it was—
A knife!!!
“Master Bo, watch out…” Xia Qingtian shouted out loud.
At that moment, her mind went blank.
Almost instinctively, she quickly jumped in front of Bo Jingyan, closed her eyes tightly, and waited for the pain to come.
“Ah…” Someone let out a painful cry.
Before she could react, she was pulled into a sturdy, powerful embrace.
“Xia Qingtian, are you okay? Did you get hurt?” A worried male voice rang out.
Xia Qingtian nervously opened her eyes. The shadowy figure who had rushed at Bo Jingyan with a knife had been knocked to the ground, clutching his chest unable to get up for a while.
Meanwhile, Bo Jingyan’s face, even more beautiful than a fairy, kept magnifying in her eyes.
For a moment, she was actually dazed by such beauty and didn’t react right away.
