Xia Qingtian was about to turn and leave when she suddenly remembered something, her steps faltering slightly.

She opened her bag again, rummaging through it to find a small hair tie she usually used to keep her hair in place, and put it on Bo Jingyan’s wrist. Only then did she feel a sense of gratification.

"Wear this, and don’t take it off," Xia Qingtian instructed him. "If anyone tries to strike up a conversation with you later, don’t utter a word. Just subtly display this hair tie."

Having done all these, she left to attend to her tasks.

Xia Qingtian stayed at the fashion event until late, being among the last few to leave. However, the gains she made were surely the greatest.

The designer was willing to arrange a day to meet with Cheng Bingbing and chat with her.

Surveying the busy film set, she felt that it wasn’t the best place to discuss their matter. Since it was already dinner time, she swallowed the words that were on the tip of her tongue.

"Let’s go. I’ll treat you to dinner and we can talk while eating," Xia Qingtian suggested. She stepped forward, took Cheng Bingbing’s hand, led her out of the film set and into her car.

On the way to the restaurant, Cheng Bingbing was staring at her hand in a daze, as if it had something intriguing about it.

Xia Qingtian sneaked a few glances at her, feeling that she seemed to have something bothering her.

However, since she was driving, she chose not to dwell on it.

Soon, they arrived at the restaurant.

Xia Qingtian ordered a few dishes that she and Cheng Bingbing loved.

While waiting for the food, she cleared her throat and said with excitement, "Bingbing, I have some great news, I secured an opportunity for you. If you seize it, you’ll certainly hit the big-time."

Curious, Cheng Bingbing asked, "What opportunity?"

She had seldomly seen Xia Qingtian in such exuberance and animation. So she wondered what ’hitting the big-time’ could possibly refer to.

"I’ve got you an audition for the endorsement of a top luxury brand’s jewellery exclusively," Xia Qingtian revealed with glimmering eyes. "If you nail it, you’ll become the brand’s first Asian endorser in history."

"Really?" Upon hearing the news, Cheng Bingbing seemed excited.

She wanted to further her career progress and this could take her closer to Huo Qilin and the Huo Family. Maybe in the future, when she was together with Huo Qilin, there would be fewer obstacles.

"Of course it’s true, I wouldn’t joke about something like this!" Xia Qingtian asserted confidently.

Her conviction gave Cheng Bingbing some peace of mind.

"I’ll definitely do my best," Cheng Bingbing nodded solemnly, albeit with a hint of doubt in her voice and on her face. She confessed, "But I’m afraid I may not perform well enough, and lose this opportunity."

Xia Qingtian knew Cheng Bingbing always lacked confidence and never fully recognised her own worth.

She reached out, holding Cheng Bingbing’s hand tightly, looked her in the eyes, and reassured her encouragingly, "Don’t be scared, I’ll stick by you, as always. We will face this together and surely, we can make it."

"Back in the day, I could place a newcomer like you in a big-budget drama, have you stealing the shows, then help you upstage Shi Qian to secure the female lead role for the movie you’re currently shooting. This time, I can surely help you clinch the endorsement deal for the top luxury brand!"
