An’an was old enough now to start eating some supplementary food.

The kitchen prepared nutritious, easy-to-digest meals that wouldn’t burden his digestive system every day.

Usually, Xia Qingtian was too busy with work to spend time with An’an. She would feel guilty and to make it up to him, she would always feed him personally whenever she was at home.

However, as she was about to feed An’an today, Bo Jingyan spoke up, "You have been busy outside all day, you must be tired. Let me handle this little rascal’s meal."

"No need," Xia Qingtian said, "feeding a child is no simple task."

When she had first started to feed An’an, it took her a while to get it right. Feeding a baby is an unfriendly task for first-time parents.

But Bo Jingyan didn’t shy away. He said earnestly, "If I don’t know how, I’ll learn. You weren’t born knowing how to be a mother. If you can be a good mother, I can also be a good father. I won’t use my ignorance as an excuse to shirk responsibility."

Seeing Bo Jingyan’s persistence, Xia Qingtian stopped arguing.

Indeed, raising a child should be a shared responsibility for both parents. She didn’t spend much time with An’an, Jingyan, as a father, spent even less. Now that he was willing to assume his role as a father, she shouldn’t reject his offer.

Bo Jingyan was indeed clumsy when it came to feeding An’an, but he was eager to learn.

Xia Qingtian didn’t want to bring up the topic again and dampen their mood.

Upon hearing Bo Jingyan mention Shi Qian, she casually asked, "By the way, what’s the result of the investigation into Shi Qian’s meeting with your mother’s primary physician and the old Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor? Any findings?"

Bo Jingyan said, "Nothing! They didn’t leave any traces!"

Xia Qingtian frowned. She found this matter quite tricky. What abilities did Shi Qian possess to sidestep being caught, despite having such concrete evidence? With Bo Jingyan’s capabilities, they still couldn’t find definitive proof.

Could there be someone supporting her from behind the scenes? Who could have such great influence?

She felt that there was more to this than met the eye.

"Not necessarily," Bo Jingyan led her to a nearby swing and sat down, "Jiang Xuan has discovered that the old TCM doctor’s young grandson had disappeared for a while while he was treating my mother. The old man even reported it to the police."

In these circumstances, Shi Qian had outsmarted herself.

"What do you think about my analysis?" Xia Qingtian asked, her eyes hopeful as she looked at Bo Jingyan.
