Chapter 717: Chapter 717: The Best Gift_1
Xia Qingtian had a plan in mind and began asking Bo Jingyan, "Where did you get this cruise ship?"
Bo Jingyan replied with a question, "Are you interested in this cruise ship?"
"Yes, I’m very interested." Xia Qingtian didn’t deny it.
Since Bo Jingyan was her boyfriend, she had nothing to hide, so she told him her plan.
With a commanding look on his face, Bo Jingyan said, "If you’re interested, then this cruise ship is yours."
Upon hearing this, Xia Qingtian didn’t take it seriously, thinking he was just making a casual remark. She urged him, "Hey, you still didn’t answer my previous question."
Seeing her disbelief, Bo Jingyan didn’t bother to explain further but instead handed her his half-empty glass of red wine, saying, "Hold this for me, I’ll be right back."
Xia Qingtian, unsure of what he was up to, still accepted the wine glass.
Bo Jingyan quickly walked into the cruise ship cabin, leaving her wondering what he was doing.
After a while, he came back out carrying a document bag.
"What’s this?" Xia Qingtian lifted her chin and casually asked.
Bo Jingyan took the wine glass from her hand and handed over the document bag, replying, "To find out what’s inside, you’ll need to open it yourself."
With curiosity, Xia Qingtian accepted the bag and opened it to find it was filled with papers.
Upon a cursory glance, she saw her own name on the papers.
Her eyes narrowed in realization that Bo Jingyan’s earlier statement that if she was interested in the ship, it was hers, was not a casual remark or a joke; he was serious.
The cruise ship was really in her name!
Being wealthy now, Xia Qingtian was still incredibly stunned to realize that Bo Jingyan had actually bought the ship and put it in her name.
"You ..." she was so shocked she could barely speak.
Bo Jingyan wrapped his arms around her waist from behind and asked, "Do you like my gift?"
"I like it, it’s just too costly!" Xia Qingtian leaned into his embrace.
Bo Jingyan simply stated as if it was a matter of course, "Everything that is mine is yours. It’s only right that you spend my money, no matter how much."
Just as Xia Qingtian was about to respond, suddenly...
Her vision was filled with light as a burst of spectacular fireworks lit up the sky over the open water. They exploded, illuminating the entire night sky and ocean, creating an incredibly breathtaking view.
Her attention was immediately diverted.
"Wow, it’s so beautiful!" she exclaimed.
Bo Jingyan rested his chin on her shoulder, asking her, "How about it? Do you like it?"
Upon hearing this, Xia Qingtian suddenly realized something, "Did you arrange for these fireworks?"
Bo Jingyan confirmed with a nod.
Xia Qingtian, her eyes sparkling, looked up again at the fireworks in the sky and nodded vigorously, "Yes, I like them, I really, really like them."
"As long as you’re happy, all my arrangements are worthwhile." Bo Jingyan spoke softly.
Xia Qingtian, overwhelmed by emotion, couldn’t help but turn to face Bo Jingyan. She impulsively reached up, pulled the mask off his face, and threw it aside onto the deck.
She reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck, standing on tiptoes to reach up with a kiss.
Returning her kiss, Bo Jingyan’s voice was slightly hoarse, "This time, you’re the one who initiated it. Don’t beg for mercy later."
Xia Qingtian, picking up his insinuation, didn’t back down but instead blushed, burying her face in Bo Jingyan’s neck.
Understanding her intention, Bo Jingyan bent and scooped her up bridal style, leaving the deck to return to their room onboard. With a definitive click, he shut the door behind them.
Soon, amorous sounds could be heard emanating from the room.
...
On the other side.
To avoid any disturbances during his time with Cheng Bingbing, Huo Qilin had booked an entire restaurant.
When Cheng Bingbing arrived and found it unusually quiet, she became suspicious.
"Isn’t it mealtime now? Why’s there no one in this restaurant? Could it be because the food is terrible?" Cheng Bingbing studied the restaurant, which was devoid of customers apart from the staff and quietly raised her concerns to Huo Qilin.
Huo Qilin was extremely nervous.
He heard Cheng Bingbing’s remark, but it didn’t really register.
He answered casually, "Perhaps."
Upon hearing this, Cheng Bingbing stopped walking.
Huo Qilin went a good distance before realizing Cheng Bingbing hadn’t followed, and looking back, he saw her still standing in the same spot.
He quickly returned to her side and asked, "Why did you suddenly stop moving?"
Could she possibly have discovered his intention to confess his feelings and was trying to escape?
Realizing this possibility made him even more nervous.
Fortunately, he was mistaken.
Cheng Bingbing lowered her voice and whispered, "I think the decoration of this restaurant is quite good, which means it must be expensive. Since the food here is expensive and unpalatable, why don’t we change to another restaurant?"
"No!" Huo Qilin was adamantly against the idea.
He had everything set up in this restaurant and had briefed the staff. There was no time to prepare at a different restaurant.
He wanted to give Cheng Bingbing a perfect, romantic proposal.
Cheng Bingbing looked at him perplexed and asked, "Why not?"
"Because..." Of course, Huo Qilin couldn’t reveal the real reason or the surprise would be spoiled.
Faced with Cheng Bingbing’s doubtful gaze, he had to find an excuse to bide time, "This restaurant is owned by my friend. Not many people have been coming, so he invited me to lend some support."
The more he talked, the more plausible the excuse seemed.
Cheng Bingbing was always considerate and understanding. Once he had explained, she surely wouldn’t insist on changing restaurants.
He continued, "I’ve already promised my friend. It wouldn’t be right to back out at the last minute. Please just come with me and if there’s anything you don’t like about the restaurant, you can tell me. It will be a good opportunity for my friend to make improvements."
As expected, he was correct.
Upon hearing his explanation, Cheng Bingbing nodded, "Alright, I’ll accompany you tonight."
A big smile appeared on Huo Qilin’s face, "That’s great!"
"Why are you so happy?" Bingbing asked him, seeing his cheerful expression.
Huo Qilin touched his own face, "Do I?"
Cheng Bingbing nodded affirmatively, "Yes, you were just grinning from ear to ear."
