"Yes." Xia Qingtian affirmed, "Indeed, I did play some tricks. So what?"

"Xia Qingtian, how could you be so despicable?" Seeing her openly admit, Shi Qian was instantly shaking with anger.

Xia Qingtian found her extremely laughable yet still honestly reminded her, "Didn’t you also use tricks to snatch Director Zhao’s film from Bingbing?"

Shi Qian was choked silent, unable to utter a word.

"What I’m doing now is merely giving you a taste of your own medicine, why can’t you take it?" Xia Qingtian’s eyes sharpened, "How come it’s only okay if you play dirty tricks, and no one else can?"

For Shi Qian, this was true.

Mid-sentence, the elevator doors opened.

Shi Qian was about to step in, eager to return and seek help from her mother to regain her lost lead role.

But Xia Qingtian blocked her way, "Don’t be in a hurry to leave, we haven’t yet settled our bet."

Shi Qian defiantly replied, "There were only three of us present during our bet. If I refuse to honour it, what can you do? Take me to court if you dare."

She was clearly intending to default on the bet. Xia Qingtian was unperturbed, but Cheng Bingbing was enraged.

Their bet was made without legal obligation. As long as Shi Qian refuses to pay up, no one could do anything about it.

Xia Qingtian was nonchalant, simply shrugging her shoulders and saying casually, "I may not be capable of suing you, but I can make you keep your word."

Shi Qian let out a cold laugh, "Really? Then I’d like to see how you intend to do that."

Before Xia Qingtian had a chance to respond, a frantic ringtone sounded out.

It was Shi Qian’s phone.

Shi Qian glanced at her phone to see it was her assistant calling.

She ignored Xia Qingtian and answered the call.

A panicked voice came from the other end, "Qianqian, not good, you’ve been blacklisted in the entertainment circle."

Her assistant’s voice was so shaky that it almost broke.

Shi Qian frowned, "What are you talking about?"

The hotel corridor was so silent that even without switching to speaker mode, Xia Qingtian and Cheng Bingbing, standing nearby, could hear what the person on the other end said.

So, Xia Qingtian kindly reminded her, "They said, you’ve been blacklisted."

"Shut up, there’s no way I’m being blacklisted!" Shi Qian was filled with hatred for Xia Qingtian’s voice that she lost control and started yelling.

This outburst didn’t scare Xia Qingtian but startled her assistant on the phone.

"Qianqian, she’s right... You’ve been blacklisted," her assistant said with a voice choking back tears.

Shi Qian could no longer keep lying to herself.

She felt as if all her strength had been drained, her phone slipped from her grip, fell to the floor, and shattered into pieces.

"You were just saying that you want to see if I’m capable, have you seen it now?" Xia Qingtian watched her dispirited demeanor, mocking her with a sly smile.

On hearing this, Shi Qian raised her head, her eyes bloodshot as she glared at Xia Qingtian, "This is all your doing, isn’t it?"

"Yes." Xia Qingtian nodded, "This is my gift to you for framing me as the mistress, I hope you like it."

"Xia Qingtian, you whore, how dare you do this to me, I will kill you." Shi Qian could no longer contain her hatred and charged towards Xia Qingtian.

Xia Qingtian sneered. As Shi Qian approached, before she could attack, she landed a hard slap in her face.

She held nothing back.

Shi Qian’s face was slapped sideways, her mouth tasted of iron and her brain buzzed.

"Have you calmed down? Dare to quarrel with me again?" Xia Qingtian looked at her coldly, her voice threatening. "If you dare throw tantrums in front of me again, I’ll show you."

It took a while for the ringing in Shi Qian’s head to gradually subside.

With her eyes filled with bitterness and resentment, she glared at Xia Qingtian.

Xia Qingtian, undeterred, casually shook the hand she had used to slap her, and reminded her, "If I were you, instead of glaring at me with resentment, I’d count my assets and see if I have enough to pay for the breach of contract."

Shi Qian’s expression changed immediately.

Being blacklisted in the entertainment circle meant all the contracts she had recently signed now meant nothing.

Those collaborators could sue her for breach of contract and demand compensation.

Due to the high earnings in the entertainment industry, along with her mother’s help, her pay was not low, but the penalty for breaching those contracts was three times her pay.

If she really had to pay, even selling herself wouldn’t be enough to shoulder the cost.

Realising this, Shi Qian knew she had landed in serious hot water.

Her mind was in too much chaos to deal with Xia Qingtian right now.

"Xia Qingtian, I’m keeping a record of all the losses you’ve caused me, I’ll make you pay for your actions!!!" After saying this, without waiting for Xia Qingtian’s response, she hurried into the elevator, planning to find her mother to discuss solutions.

Watching Shi Qian’s hurried departure, Cheng Bingbing felt immensely satisfied deep inside.
