Chapter 517: Chapter 517: Creating Miracles_1

Xia Qingtian frowned at the unreachable webpage, her eyebrows knitted together tightly.

"What the hell is going on?" She sounded somewhat unhappy, "Why would it fail at such a crucial moment? The webpage can’t be accessed, how can people buy the albums?"

The brows of Cheng Bingbing, too, were furrowed tightly.

Xia Qingtian was anxious inside; the sales of this album would directly affect her future work and career prospects.

His album was of exceptional quality, and the songs were enjoyable, she couldn’t let anyone drag him down.

With this in mind, she quickly took out her mobile phone and called Mr Chen from the music company, directly asking, "Mr Chen, what’s going on with your company website? Why can’t we get in?"

Because she was anxious, her tone was sharp and even sounded slightly resentful.

But Mr Chen at the other end of the line didn’t show any signs of being angry. Instead, he chuckled saying, "Ms Xia, don’t panic, our technical staff is trying to resolve it urgently."

Xia Qingtian frowned, feeling his attitude was somewhat strange.

Hadn’t he staked his entire fortune on Huo Qilin? If the album sales were poor this time, wouldn’t he be ruined? Why wasn’t he worried at all?

Realising this, it occurred to her to ask, "Mr Chen, why is it that your official website can’t be accessed?"

Mr Chen joyfully explained, "That’s because too many people were trying to buy the album, far more than we had anticipated, causing the website to crash."

As soon as his words fell, a round of cheering came from his side.

Without waiting for Xia Qingtian to continue questioning, Chen jubilantly said, "Ms Xia, the website has been fixed. You can check it now."

Upon hearing this, Xia Qingtian immediately refreshed the page, and indeed, she was able to access it.

Seeing this, Cheng Bingbing also refreshed her page.

She too could access the site.

However, just as the two were about to buy the album, they found that it was already sold out on the site.

Not to mention buying ten thousand, or even a thousand copies.

They couldn’t even get one copy now.

Xia Qingtian was speechless for a moment. Luckily, she hadn’t ended the call yet. She immediately said to Mr. Chen on the phone, "Mr. Chen, the official website is showing that the album is sold out? How many copies did you guys prepare for the initial batch?"

"Three million....", replied Mr. Chen.

Xia Qingtian then urged, "Since that’s the case, shouldn’t you rush to put all the albums on the official website for sale? I struggled to get onto the website, yet I couldn’t even buy one album, which will greatly impact the sales."

Mr. Chen responded, "Of the three million copies, I kept two hundred thousand for offline sales. The remaining two point eight million were all put up on the website and they are all sold out now. There are no albums left for you to buy, there’s nothing I can do about that. You’ll have to wait until more copies are printed."

Upon hearing these words, Xia Qingtian couldn’t help but question if she had heard correctly.

"What did you say?" She asked again, needing clarification.

Mr Chen repeated quite excitedly, "Qilin’s two point eight million albums were bought up as soon as they were released. I’ve already ordered the factory to print another five million copies."

Xia Qingtian heard him loud and clear this time.

"Okay, I understand now." She hung up the phone in a sort of daze.

Both Cheng Bingbing and Huo Qilin noticed something was off about her expression, and they cautiously asked, "What happened? What’s wrong?"

Xia Qingtian put away her phone and looked solemnly at them.

"I have something to tell you both. You must be prepared, and try not to get too agitated," She said solemnly.

Huo Qilin’s throat felt dry as he strained to ask, "Is it because the sales of my album are poor?"

At this moment, he couldn’t think of anything else that could make Xia Qingtian’s face look so grave.

Apparently, Cheng Bingbing was thinking the same.

She turned to Huo Qilin and said, "I’ve heard the songs you’ve recorded, they’re really good. If sales are poor, it might just be that your fans haven’t heard the songs in your album yet. They’ll surely buy it once they do."

"Hmm." Huo Qilin managed a strained smile.

He knew well that the sales on the first day of an album’s launch could directly affect subsequent sales. If the first day sales were poor, it would be very hard to turn things around, unless something unexpected happened.

Ever since being brought back to the agency by Xia Qingtian, his career had progressed smoothly. The personalised album he had painstakingly curated and poured his heart into had encountered a disaster. This was quite a blow to him.

Xia Qingtian patted him on the shoulder, producing a big smile.

"Hahaha, fool, I was just kidding," she exclaimed playfully to Huo Qilin and Cheng Bingbing, "Mr. Chen just told me the album sales are booming. It hasn’t been half an hour since it hit the market and two point eight million copies have already been sold out. We wanted to support Qilin, but all we can do now is buy it off from someone else at a higher price."

Cheng Bingbing blinked several times, finally registering what Xia had said.

She was overjoyed for Huo Qilin.

With her emotions on a rollercoaster, she got a bit carried away and rushed over to give Huo Qilin a warm hug, exclaiming, "Qilin, did you hear what Sister Qingtian just said? Half an hour after your album was released, two point eight million copies were sold. This accomplishment puts you in line with A-list actors."

Huo Qilin, hearing the cheers and finally understanding how he had been played, didn’t get angry. Instead, he wore a look of pleasant surprise, holding back the urge to give Xia Qingtian a big hug. He patted Cheng Bingbing’s back like a gentleman and said, "Yes, my album sales are very good."

The matter concerning Qilin’s album was settled.

As for other things, neither Xia Qingtian nor Huo Qilin had much to worry about. Now, all the stress was on Mr. Cheng from the music company.

Xia Qingtian closed her laptop and cheerfully proposed, "We don’t need to worry now. As everyone didn’t eat properly due to the anxiety over the album’s sales, how about we grab something to eat together to celebrate?"

Neither Huo Qilin nor Cheng Bingbing objected to her decision.

So, the three of them set off in high spirits to a nearby restaurant.

While waiting for their food, Xia Qingtian checked a social media platform and noticed that the astounding sales of Huo Qilin’s album were trending. Many people online were lamenting that, like Xia Qingtian and Cheng Bingbing, they also missed out on buying the album.

After dinner, Huo Qilin offered, "Let me take you home."

"No need," Xia Qingtian declined, "Bo Jingyan just texted me, he’s coming to pick me up. Why don’t you give Bingbing a ride home instead?"

With that, she winked at Cheng Bingbing, hinting at a golden opportunity.
