Chapter 507: Chapter 507 Finally Returned_1

As Bo Jingyan heard that answer, a trace of darkness flashed through his deep eyes.

"Understood." With that, he hung up the phone.

Xia Qingtian, her heart preoccupied with thoughts of Xia Guohua, hadn’t noticed his unusual expression, assuming the phone call was to inform her of Xia Guohua’s exact location.

As Bo Jingyan ended the call, Xia Qingtian hastily questioned him, "How is it? Where is my dad now?"

Bo Jingyan looked at her, but remained silent.

Xia Qingtian, receiving no answer, gradually came down from her heightened state of excitement, regaining some rationality. She noticed his unusual complexion and felt a sense of foreboding.

"What’s wrong?" she asked, uneasily.

Bo Jingyan sighed and said candidly, "They’ve already moved your father. My people will continue tracking them, but the results might not be immediate."

"That’s it?" Xia Qingtian blinked, asking uncertainly.

Hearing her casual tone, Bo Jingyan was taken aback, "We couldn’t rescue your father, he was still taken away."

Xia Qingtian chuckled and explained, "I see, the shock on your face scared me, I had thought of the worst possible scenario."

"For instance, your people might have made a mistake, and my dad is still missing. Or worse, he may already be dead. Or, finding out they’re being followed, the kidnappers might’ve killed him to seal it all."

"So hearing that my dad has only been moved is unexpectedly good news to me-- at least my dad is still alive. And their efforts to shake your men off to take my dad show his value to them."

"Even though we temporarily can’t locate my dad, I know he’s alive and won’t be in danger for a while. This gives us enough time. It’s actually a very fortunate turn of events."

Hearing her analysis, Bo Jingyan’s eyes lit up, "It’s best that you think this way, I was afraid you wouldn’t accept such a result."

Xia Qingtian glared at him, "When have I been unreasonable?"

Finished with that, she wore a smile "Honestly, after seeing Lucy, I had come to terms with the fact that my father was dead. Now knowing that he’s alive, I’m extremely happy."

Bo Jingyan reached out to caress her hair and reassured her, "I will find your dad and rescue him. I’ll reunite you two, trust me, okay?"

"Okay." Xia Qingtian looked up at him, her clear eyes filled with reliance and trust, "I believe you!"

She watched him with such gaze that Bo Jingyan felt his heart sink.

"Let’s go back to the hospital." Xia Qingtian took his hand and said, "You’re still a patient, you should go back to the hospital for treatment. When you’re released, we’ll return to our country."

"You’re ready to return?" Bo Jingyan asked.

"Of course." Xia Qingtian replied freely, "They have already moved my dad, what’s the point of staying in B Country? I also miss An’an."

"Alright, let’s return to A City as soon as possible." Bo Jingyan agreed.

And so, the matter was settled.

A few days later, the doctor finally allowed Bo Jingyan to be discharged from the hospital, although his recovery would need time.

The day after Bo Jingyan was discharged, they purchased gifts for everyone and boarded a flight back to A City.

When they arrived in A City, it was already dark.

Xia Qingtian planned to return directly to the villa, while Bo Jingyan had to stop at the company, so they had to part ways at the airport.

During their time in B Country, Xia Qingtian had been inseparable from Bo Jingyan. Now, as they were suddenly parting ways, she felt a strong sense of unwillingness.

But no matter how unwilling she was, she had to suppress her feelings.

"I should go now." Xia Qingtian waved at Bo Jingyan and turned to leave.

Suddenly, she felt a tug on her arm.

She was held back, unable to move forward, and when she turned her head, she saw Bo Jingyan holding her arm.

"Do you need something else?" Xia Qingtian turned back to ask him.

"You promised that once we got back to A City, you would give me an answer." His deep eyes bore holes into her, his voice laced with anticipation, "So, what’s your answer?"

"I still need a bit more time, and when the time comes, I’ll naturally tell you." Xia Qingtian smiled enigmatically, shook his hand off, got into the car, rolled the window down, and added, "So, you need to behave yourself."

Having said that, she didn’t wait for Bo Jingyan to respond and instructed the driver to leave.

Bo Jingyan stood silently, neither angry nor upset. Looking in the direction Xia Qingtian had left, his deep eyes blazed with ambition.

Jiang Xuan, who came to pick him up, realizing that everyone at the company was waiting for him to start the meeting, had to remind him, "Young Master Bo, everyone is waiting for you at the company to start the meeting."

Upon hearing his words, Bo Jingyan finally withdrew his gaze.

He adjusted his tie around his neck and smoothly got into the car.

Jiang Xuan sat next to him, respectfully handing over important and urgent company documents for his signature.

As Bo Jingyan signed the documents and attended to Jiang Xuan’s report, he multitasked.

...

After what seemed like a long time, Xia Qingtian finally arrived at the villa.

It was been a long time since she left home, and during her time in B City, first preoccupied with finding Xia Guohua and later looking after an injured Bo Jingyan, she hadn’t really thought about home.

It was only when she was home that she realized how much she missed it.

After she arrived home, she figured An’an would’ve been sleeping by then, given his internal sleep schedule. It was already very late.

Unexpectedly, as she quietly made her way to An’an’s room, she found him lying on his bed, merrily chewing on his little shoes.

As Xia Qingtian saw An’an, all the suppressed longing rushed to her heart.

She could no longer control her emotions, and bending over, she scooped up An’an from his crib, his baby scent filling her senses.
