Chapter 350: Chapter 350: Can’t Bear to Lose Him_1

Xia Qingtian had no choice but to leave Xia Guohua and An’an with Bo Jingyan while she went off to an out-of-town shooting location with the film crew.

Because they were shooting scenes about hunting, the location was in a remote and desolate mountain where there was sometimes no signal.

The production was conducted in a new "shoot and broadcast" format that necessitated a rushed schedule. Everyone was pushing through, afraid to complain and slow down the shooting process.

One day.

From early morning, the sky was overcast, foreboding heavy rain.

However, the director didn’t call it off and proceeded with filming, aiming to get as much as they could shot before the rain started to pour.

But they managed to complete only half of what they aimed before heavy rain started pouring down, soaking everyone to the skin.

The director had to call a halt to filming and prepare to descend the mountain.

Everyone in the crew, apart from the actors wearing costumes, was busy packing up, whether it was the assistants, agents, or production staff.

Xia Qingtian was no exception.

Without even wearing a raincoat, she was moving costumes to the car when, all of a sudden...

Someone called out to her.

In the heavy rain, she strained her eyes and finally recognized that the person who’d called her was Shi Qian’s assistant. She thought something had gone wrong with Shi Qian.

To her surprise, the assistant informed her that the person in trouble was Cheng Bingbing.

The assistant said Cheng Bingbing had realized she’d left something back at the earlier shooting location and rushed back to look for it. However, she hadn’t returned, causing worry.

A sinking feeling spread through Xia Qingtian’s heart.

The roads on the mountain were rough and difficult to navigate, especially now in the rain. Bingbing, in her elaborate filming costume, must be finding it even more difficult.

She checked the actors’ car and, sure enough, Cheng Bingbing was nowhere to be found.

She asked Shi Qian’s assistant if, after everyone had packed and she had not returned with Cheng Bingbing, she could inform the director and have some people come help her search.

After getting the assistant’s assurance, Xia Qingtian set off to find Cheng Bingbing.

But the rain was becoming heavier and she could hardly open her eyes.

Along the way, she stumbled many times.

Despite searching high and low, there was still no sign of Cheng Bingbing and she couldn’t call her because her phone had no signal.

"Cheng Bingbing..." All Xia Qingtian could do was shout Cheng Bingbing’s name, hoping that she would hear and respond.

But her call was quickly drowned out by the heavy rain.

No matter how she searched, Xia Qingtian couldn’t find Cheng Bingbing and the only sounds she heard were the rain and her own footfall.

She found it strange that after such a long time, no one from the crew had come to help her. Had something happened?

Xia Qingtian realized she couldn’t find Cheng Bingbing on her own.

With these questions in mind, she slowly made her way back to the director, hoping they could send more people to help.

When she returned, to her shock, everyone was already gone.

She was alone on the mountain.

Where were they?

Where had they gone?

Had she lost her way?

But the tire tracks on the road clearly told her that the crew’s vehicles had been parked right there.

The only explanation left was the crew had left.

Xia Qingtian’s brows furrowed.

Why?

Before she left, she had told Shi Qian’s assistant. The assistant knew she was going to look for Cheng Bingbing. Why hadn’t the assistant reminded the director before they left?

A thought occurred to Xia Qingtian, and her face turned cold.

If it was what she thought, she needed to find a way off the mountain on her own. The temperature change on the mountain was extreme, especially in the rain.

She couldn’t simply wait to die on the mountain.

With these thoughts in her mind, Xia Qingtian started making her way down the mountain alone.

Just when she’d gotten a little way down, she heard a deafening rumble.

Without even thinking, she turned towards where the noise had come from.

She turned pale.

A landslide!!!

Xia Qingtian tried to escape, but it was too late.

Her knowledge of surviving landslides flashed in her mind, and without even thinking she reacted.

Because she reacted in time, she hadn’t gotten buried by the landslide but felt as if her internal organs had shifted. She collapsed to the ground and lost consciousness.

Xia Qingtian didn’t know how long she was unconscious. The cold woke her.

Weakening, she opened her eyes to find the rain hadn’t let up and it was getting darker. She couldn’t tell if it was day or night.

She tried to get up but didn’t have the strength.

She was cold and hungry, suffering greatly.

The worst part was, she could clearly feel the icy rain leaching away the heat from her body.

If she lost her body heat, she would be beyond saving.

A wave of despair washed over Xia Qingtian suddenly. Could it be...

Was she going to die on this mountain?

But, she was really unwilling to leave An’an.

Unwilling to leave Bo Jingyan!!!

Thinking of Bo Jingyan, Xia Qingtian found herself whispering, "Bo Jingyan, I miss you so much..."

After she finished speaking, another wave of dizziness hit her.

Xia Qingtian knew if she closed her eyes now, she might never get the chance to open them again.

She tried to stay conscious, but failed to stop her consciousness from scattering.

"Xia Qingtian..."

"Xia Qingtian, where are you?"

Just as Xia Qingtian was about to fall unconscious again, a frantic, cold, and panicked voice sounded in her ear.

Xia Qingtian felt that the voice was familiar—it sounded like—

Bo Jingyan’s!!!

Was because she wanted to see Bo Jingyan so badly that she was having hallucinations before her death?

Otherwise, why would she hear Bo Jingyan’s voice?

Shouldn’t he be in A City now?

This thought brought a bitter taste to Xia Qingtian’s mouth.

Meanwhile, Bo Jingyan’s voice continued calling.

"Xia Qingtian..."

"Xia Qingtian, if you can hear my voice, please respond."

Bo Jingyan’s voice had become a bit hoarse from all the yelling.

Even if she knew this might’ve been her hallucination, Xia Qingtian still wanted to respond.

"I’m here..."

"I can hear you."

But she was too weak, and her response was like a mosquito buzzing.

Bo Jingyan, who was leading a group people in a frantic search for Xia Qingtian, paused as if he sensed something. He asked with a serious face, "Did anyone hear anything?"
