Chapter 336: Chapter 336 You’re Good_1
After a long kiss, Bo Jingyan finally let go of Xia Qingtian.
Xia Qingtian straightened up and glanced at the black business car, finding it a bit strange, "Why did you suddenly change your car?"
Bo Jingyan looked at her sideways, "Didn’t you complain that my car was too flashy and didn’t allow me to drop you off at the set? Now I’ve changed it, you should have no more excuses, right?"
At his words, Xia Qingtian felt a warm feeling inside her heart.
"Jingyan, why are you so good to me?" Her bright and clear eyes stared at Bo Jingyan as she wrapped her arms around his neck,
"Because you are my wife, who else should I be good to, if not you?" Bo Jingyan replied as he started the car.
Just as they left the parking lot, they saw Shi Qian standing by the roadside, looking anxious as if she was in trouble.
Remembering how Shi Qian had helped her twice, Xia Qingtian asked Bo Jingyan to pull over.
She rolled down the window and asked, "Qianqian? Why are you still here? Did something happen?"
"Nothing big, just that my driver’s car broke down halfway and is now waiting for a tow truck, leaving me stranded. He asked me to find my own way home." Shi Qian showed a distressed look, "Given its peak hours now, it’s quite difficult to get a taxi."
Xia Qingtian immediately said, "Then get in, and we’ll take you home."
Shi Qian looked at Bo Jingyan’s expressionless face, appearing somewhat scared, quickly waved her hands and said, "No need, no need, I’ll just wait a little longer. I won’t interfere with your couple time."
Xia Qingtian thought back to their dinner together, how the mere mention of Bo Jingyan frightened her, so she didn’t insist.
Bo Jingyan was quite pleased with Shi Qian’s tactfulness.
Remembering it was due to her bone marrow donation that his mother was now well, he couldn’t just stand by and offered, "I’ll have an assistant come to pick you up."
"Okay, okay." Shi Qian nodded repeatedly.
After Bo Jingyan made a call to Jian Xuan, he drove away.
Shi Qian stood there, watching Bo Jingyan’s car drive off, her eyes flashed a touch of darkness.
It seemed Xia Qingtian now fully trusted that she had no interest in Bo Jingyan or the position of Mrs. Bo.
Humph!
Indeed, a flower raised in a greenhouse was really easy to trust others.
It seemed it was time for her to move to the next step!
...
After Xia Qingtian got home, she couldn’t wait to see Little An’an.
Little An’an had turned into a chubby little angel, his cuteness would melt anyone’s heart.
The nanny and the babysitter also adored An’an.
They even proactively asked about plans for An’an’s full moon celebration.
Xia Qingtian felt guilty at the reminder of this matter.
On the day An’an turned one month old, he was still in the hospital incubator, and so, they didn’t celebrate.
Later, even though An’an was discharged, there were too many things happening. Moreover, she took over the entertainment company and was too busy to remember this matter.
Therefore, the full moon celebration was immediately put on the schedule.
Xia Qingtian and Bo Jingyan discussed a bit and decided to have the full moon celebration three days later.
Though time was tight, they didn’t intend to have a lavish celebration.
Invitations were only sent to close friends, business partners, and naturally, An’an’s grandma.
Xia Qingtian personally went to the old house to give Bo’s mother the invitation. Prepared for rejection, she had mentally prepared a convincing argument for Bo’s mother to attend.
Unexpectedly, after receiving the invitation, Bo’s mother agreed readily, promising to be there on time.
Xia Qingtian was somewhat taken aback.
Could it be because the entertainment company was doing well, which made Bo’s mother see her capabilities and start accepting her?
With this in mind, she worked tirelessly for the next two days.
All the responsibilities of organizing An’an’s full moon celebration were handed over to Bo Jingyan.
Then, good news came in rapid succession.
Cheng Bingbing’s palace drama had successfully wrapped up the first five episodes, which had been edited and approved.
It was soon to air.
The episodes would be released weekly, and if it did well, the crew was sure to get more investment.
The actors could also reap the benefits earlier.
No longer would they have to wait half a year after filming before seeing a glimmer of success.
...
The day of An’an’s full month celebration came quickly.
Bo Jingyan took the celebration very seriously, booking the best banquet hall in A City.
All their guests arrived early morning, all exclaiming at how cute An’an looked, being cradled in Xia Qingtian’s arms.
As her son received compliments, Xia Qingtian was delighted.
Not long after, Bo’s mother arrived too.
She was not alone, she had brought along Shi Qian.
Shi Qian stuck out her tongue at her, "Sister Qingtian, I heard about Little An’an’s full moon celebration happening today, and I didn’t have any shoot for the day. I asked my godmother to bring me along, I hope you don’t mind?"
"Not at all!" Xia Qingtian smiled.
"That’s good..." As Shi Qian spoke, she leaned in towards An’an. The moment she saw him, her eyes lit up, "Wow, An’an is so handsome. He looks like a little angel."
After saying this, she eagerly called Bo’s mother over, "Mother Bo, come look, An’an is super cute."
Bo’s mother was reminded of what the butler once told her, that An’an’s nose and chin looked exactly like hers - as if they were carved from the same mold.
She came forward and took a close look at An’an’s chin and nose.
Indeed, the butler was right.
He really did look like her!
Could it be possible that An’an was really her biological grandson?
Thinking about this, Bo’s mother’s heart softened.
"He is quite cute." Her normally cold tone showed a rare softness.
Xia Qingtian noticed this change and tentatively asked, "Mom, would you like to hold An’an?"
Bo’s mother was tempted but was also a bit embarrassed.
After all, she had previously shown such dislike for An’an.
Shi Qian glanced at Bo’s mother, her eyes flashing with ambiguity, then said, "Mother Bo, hurry up and hold An’an, so I can hold him later."
Bo’s mother felt this provided the necessary cue. With a helpless expression, she cautiously took An’an from Xia Qingtian.
The little bundle in her arms was soft and emanating a milky fragrance.
Bo’s mother found herself unable to resist the attraction of the little guy and became quite taken with him.
Her affection for An’an was written all over her face. Xia Qingtian was so thrilled that she grabbed Bo Jingyan’s hand and quickly said to Bo’s mother, "Mom, Jingyan and I need to take care of our guests. Can you help us look after An’an for a while?"
