Chapter 176 - 176 176 Dont Touch Her Child_1
Chapter 176: Chapter 176: Don’t Touch Her Child_1 Chapter 176: Chapter 176: Don’t Touch Her Child_1 Old Master Bo found Bo Jingyan’s attitude somewhat odd.
He turned his puzzled gaze to Xia Qingtian, his voice softened, significantly different from his earlier strict reprimand, even revealing a strong sense of protection.
“Qingqing, since he asked you to tell me, then you just tell me. Don’t worry, I’ll definitely stand by your side,” he stated.
Xia Qingtian stood rigidly on the spot, her complexion pale. Thinking about Old Master Bo’s care and protection for her made her heart twinge with a combination of nervousness and pain.
She was afraid that if he knew the truth, he would look at her with disgust.
Then the last person who truly cared for her in this world, would disappear as well.
“Grandfather…” She stammered, unable to get the words out.
Seeing her state, Old Master Bo’s worries amplified, “Qingqing, what exactly is going on, have you contracted a serious illness?”
Could it be that she concealed it from him out of fear?
Upon this thought, Old Master Bo was practically on the verge of anxious panic.
Before Xia Qingtian could say anything, an elderly gentleman noticed something and nudged him, “Old Bo, look over there…”
As he spoke, he pointed in a certain direction.
Old Master Bo subconsciously followed his gaze and discovered bold words written over there—
Gynecology and Obstetrics!!!Gynecology and Obstetrics?
Old Master Bo couldn’t help but widen his eyes. After a while, he finally understood.
“Qingqing, are you pregnant?” he asked, his face full of surprise and delight as he looked over at Xia Qingtian and then at her stomach, not certain whether it was just his own imagination.
But he seemed to notice that Xia Qingtian’s waist had thickened slightly.
Remembering how Xia Qingtian had run to the bathroom to vomit at the mere smell of fish not so long ago, he was sure she really was pregnant, and he was going to be a great-grandfather soon!
The realization made Old Master Bo almost deliriously happy.
“Old friend, I’m going to be a great-grandfather!” he stated joyously to his companion, boasting in his excitement.
The elderly gentleman rolled his eyes as if reminding him, “Hold your horses. Don’t let joy cloud your judgment, and don’t forget how you ended up rushing here to the hospital.”
After this reminder, Old Master Bo sobered up from his joy, regaining some clarity and composure.
Xia Qingtian wasn’t due yet. What surgery could be performed on her in the maternity ward?
Suddenly, fear clenched his heart. His face growing stern, he looked towards Bo Jingyan, accusing him gravely, “You brat, is Qingqing pregnant? Are you forcing her to abort the child?”
Even though he had already guessed it, he still wanted to hear it from Bo Jingyan himself. He wanted some reasonable explanation, proof that his guess was wrong, that his grandson couldn’t be so callous.
Regrettably, Bo Jingyan was destined to disappoint him.
“Yes, I did bring Xia Qingtian here for an abortion today,” confirmed Bo Jingyan curtly.
On hearing this, Old Master Bo felt an overwhelming rage course through him, leaving a piercing pain in his chest.
“Why? Even beasts don’t devour their own offspring, why are you forcing your own child to be aborted? Are you worse than a beast?” he ignored his own pain and looked at the man he had raised, his mien full of outrage.
Bo Jingyan kept a stony expression on his face.
The child in Xia Qingtian’s stomach had to be aborted, he won’t permit his woman to give birth to another man’s bloodline.
But now, with Old Master Bo protecting Xia Qingtian, the only way for him to agree to the surgery would be to reveal the truth.
With that thought, jealousy clouded Bo Jingyan’s judgment and with a harsh tone, he revealed the bitter truth, “Xia Qingtian has to undergo the surgery today, because she’s carrying an illegitimate child!”
“Old Bo, are you okay?”
“Grandfather, please don’t scare me!”
The exclaiming voices of an old gentleman and Xia Qingtian rang out at the same time.
It turned out that just as Bo Jingyan finished speaking, Old Master Bo could no longer bear the pain. Clutching his chest, he collapsed but was luckily caught by Xia Qingtian.
All their attention quickly centered on Old Master Bo, completely overlooking what Bo Jingyan had just confessed.
Bo Jingyan saw Old Master Bo collapse. A hint of panic flickered across his usually stoical face.
He cooled his nerves quickly, however, and summoned the doctor.
They were already in the hospital so the doctor soon came to take care of Old Master Bo, moving him to the emergency room for examination and treatment.
Thankfully, Old Master Bo’s life wasn’t in danger but he fainted because of great emotional fluctuation, from sorrow to joy, which is a taboo for patients with heart disease.
The doctor advised them to keep him in good spirits at all times and shelter him from any further shocks, warning of potential life-threatening danger otherwise, and then he left.
At this point, Old Master Bo was wheeled out of the emergency room.
Although he was somewhat weak, he had awoken.
He extended his hand towards Xia Qingtian, “Qingqing…”
Xia Qingtian immediately extended her own hand, “Grandfather, how are you feeling now? Is there still discomfort?”
Grandfather is fine,”
Old Master Bo weakly squeezed her hand and offered a comforting smile, “Don’t worry, as long as I am alive, I will protect you. Nobody is allowed to harm you.”
His aged, collagen-depleted hand was dry and rough to touch, causing a slight pain to Xia Qingtian’s hand, but it granted her immense comfort.
Yet, hearing Old Master Bo’s words intensified her guilt, nearly crushing her.
If it weren’t for her, Old Master Bo wouldn’t have collapsed from the shock.
The child in her womb was not Bo Jingyan’s, hence she had no right to earn Old Master Bo’s care and protection.
Xia Qingtian choked on her words, tearfully uttering, “Grandfather, I’m sorry, I…”
Before she could finish, she felt a grip on her shoulder, someone behind her interrupting her flow.
Reacting instinctively, Xia Qingtian looked back, only to find that the person holding her shoulder was…
Bo Jingyan!!!
Xia Qingtian immediately stiffened and her eyes widened in terror.
She felt sharp stabbing pains in her heart, making her want to escape.
Bo Jingyan didn’t seem to notice her reaction. Instead, he turned to Old Master Bo, “Grandfather, you need to rest now. We can talk when you are better.”
Old Master Bo stared at him, blowing up even in his weakened state.
His cold and threatening words pierced through, “If you dare touch Qingqing or the child in her womb, I’ll make you pay.”
