Chapter 172: Chapter 172 Everything Depends on You_1 Chapter 172: Chapter 172 Everything Depends on You_1 Xia Qingtian was afraid Bo Jingyan was going to back out. The tears she had been holding back in her eyes finally fell uncontrollably.

“Mr. Bo, I didn’t mean to earlier, please give me another chance.” She looked pleadingly at the man in front of her, his face so cold.

Bo Jingyan’s face was full of frost, “Stop eating for now. I’ll have the servant bring something else for you to eat.”

He assumed that Xia Qingtian vomited because she didn’t like the food prepared by the servant.

So, he ordered the servant to prepare different food for Xia Qingtian.

However, no matter what the servant cooked, Xia Qingtian, without exception, vomited it all out.

After a night of this, she was not only unable to eat anything, her face had turned even paler and more haggard.

Seeing Xia Qingtian in this condition made Bo Jingyan feel his heart tightening.

Seeing she truly couldn’t eat, he felt reluctant to put her through more torture, “If you cannot eat, don’t force yourself.”

After he finished speaking, he prepared to leave with a stern face.

“Mr. Bo…” Xia Qingtian saw him about to leave and, in a panic, questioned anxiously, “Does what you promised me still stand?”

Bo Jingyan paused his steps, looking at her eager expression.

Thinking of what Chen Momo had said, he felt as though his heart was being soaked in vinegar, then boiled and roasted, an unbearably heart-wrenching feeling.

Despite this, he couldn’t bear to see Xia Qingtian’s disappointed expression.

“I will consider it!” he said coldly.

Xia Qingtian let out a sigh of relief. Even though he did not give a direct affirmation, the fact that he was not forcing her to abort the child was a sign of progress. She should be content with that.

After Bo Jingyan left Xia Qingtian’s room, he found her eating and throwing up everything, rather atypical for morning sickness.

The more he thought about it, the more uneasy he felt, so he decided to call a doctor he knew to describe in detail her symptoms.

The doctor, after listening, informed him.

It wasn’t physiological but rather psychological reasons that Xia Qingtian couldn’t eat.

In short, Bo Jingyan’s insistence on aborting her child had inflicted immense psychological stress on her, causing her to lose her appetite.

If the stress was not alleviated, even if she was given the best food, she would not be able to eat.

As Xia Qingtian was pregnant, she needed to ensure sufficient nutrition.

If this trend continued, not only the child, but her own life could be in danger as well.

After hearing the doctor’s analysis, Bo Jingyan’s expression became rather grim.

He didn’t care about the bastard in Xia Qingtian’s womb, even wishing it gone.

But nothing could happen to Xia Qingtian!

After hanging up, Bo Jingyan sat alone in his unlit study, slowly puffing on his cigarette.

By the time he finished his cigarette, he had made a decision.

The next day.

Upon waking up, Xia Qingtian felt dizzy, her stomach faintly aching.

She sat on her bed for a long time before finally regaining her strength.

Suddenly, a servant knocked on the door to inform her that Bo Jingyan had asked her to come downstairs for breakfast.

Scared to defy him for fear that he would drag her to the hospital to abort her child, Xia Qingtian complied. She also wanted to ask him about his decision after a night of consideration.

Upon entering the dining room, Xia Qingtian immediately saw Bo Jingyan seated at the dining table.

“Mr. Bo…” Xia Qingtian approached him and cautiously greeted him.

Bo Jingyan, his expression as usual, gestured to the seat across from him.

“Sit down and have breakfast with me.”

Xia Qingtian obediently took a seat.

The table was laden with breakfast, both Chinese and Western style. Everything looked absolutely delicious.

She hadn’t eaten a grain of rice for two days, and yesterday she threw up so badly that the room spun around her.

Yet now, she couldn’t muster any desire to eat. Her only concern was the safety of the baby in her belly.

With an anxious face, Xia Qingtian looked at Bo Jingyan and asked, “Bo, have you come to a decision?”

Seeing her staring at a table full of delicious food but not taking a single bite, Bo Jingyan instantly thought of what the doctor had said over the phone yesterday.

And Xia Qingtian looked even more haggard today than she did then.

A shadow crossed his face. “Yeah, I’ve made up my mind!”

“So, what is your decision?” As soon as she finished her question, Xia Qingtian held her breath in anticipation, like a criminal awaiting the judge’s verdict.

Bo Jingyan knew she cared greatly about his answer.

If he didn’t tell Xia Qingtian, she probably wouldn’t eat anything at all.

Nonetheless, he didn’t keep her in suspense. “I can let you have this baby. But there’s a condition!”

Xia Qingtian burst into tears of joy at this response.

No matter what, as long as Bo Jingyan no longer threatened her child and demanded her to abort, she felt contented. They could gradually negotiate other matters.

With an overcome expression, she asked in a choked voice, “What condition?”

“I can let you give birth to this child in secret, but he cannot stay. I certainly will not raise him and do not want him to be a constant reminder. As soon as you give birth, you have to let him go.” Bo Jingyan explained bluntly.

Hearing his condition, Xia Qingtian wasn’t surprised, she even felt a bit relieved.

If Bo Jingyan not only allowed her to give birth but also treated the child as his own, she might doubt his intention…However,

The thought of parting with her child post-birth caused her unbearable pain. She didn’t want to agree at all.

Seeing her silence, Bo Jingyan’s eyebrows knitted together, his tone annoyed, “Well? Are you unwilling?”

“No, I agree!” Seeing his reaction, Xia Qingtian immediately nodded in agreement.

Knowing Bo Jingyan’s personality, she realized that not only had he spared her life despite knowing the child wasn’t his, but his acceptance of her pregnancy was a miracle in itself.

No matter what, she needed to agree with Bo Jingyan first.

Since she was only three months pregnant, her baby wouldn’t be born for another six months.

Anything could happen in those six months. Perhaps, with some effort, she could convince Bo Jingyan to let her keep the child.

Or maybe Bo Jingyan would eventually grow tired of her and dismiss her from the Bo family.

Then, at least, she wouldn’t need to separate from her child.

With that thought, Xia Qingtian felt a great weight lift from her heart.

Seeing her agreement, Bo Jingyan’s cold demeanor softened slightly. “Have some food.”

Strangely, even though she had no appetite when she saw the food on the table before, after their conversation, her fingers started to twitch, and her stomach gave a hungry growl. It felt like she could eat a cow.

This breakfast, Xia Qingtian managed to stuff herself to the brim.

Watching her, a hint of satisfaction flashed in Bo Jingyan’s deep eyes.

After the meal, he told Xia Qingtian, “Pack up, we’re leaving…”

Upon hearing his words, her heart immediately tightened.

“Where to?” She asked nervously and apprehensively.
