Chapter 846 - 825: Mother and Child Safe!

Chapter 846: Chapter 825: Mother and Child Safe!

Jaysen Smith was absolutely speechless, standing there dumbfounded, unable to utter a single word!

"Mother and child are safe!" After a long while, Jaysen Smith finally blurted out these four words, "Aside from these four words, I don’t want to hear anything else!"

Alette Larson: "..."

"Then I’m sorry, I don’t have the words you want to hear, you might as well hit me!"

Hearing this, Jaysen Smith’s legs gave out, and he stumbled, collapsing onto the ground, completely stupefied!

Alette Larson was speechless again, her expectations of being grabbed and beaten up, then charging into the operating room were totally dashed. She had managed to sap all of a man’s vigor with just a few simple words, even though he had been making a fuss with Michael Gordon just a moment ago!

Now it was Alette Larson’s turn to be scared: "Jaysen Smith, don’t frighten me, how am I going to keep up with my handsome husband if you’re like this? He’s definitely too good-looking for me to let Sienna Harrison have him."

No sooner had Alette Larson finished speaking than Jaysen Smith, as if provoked, suddenly came to life, excitedly shouting at her, "Say that again?"

Uh?

Could it be that this man thought something had happened to Sienna Harrison?

"You wouldn’t happen to think that Madeline is in trouble, would you?"

"She’s okay?" he asked, Jaysen Smith leapt up from where he had been sitting on the ground, "Is she really okay?"

"Do you hope something is wrong?"

Alette Larson didn’t even think before she retorted, even though she clearly knew that wasn’t what he meant.

Damn!

Where had this woman learned to scare him senseless, now she was turning the tables on him with a counter-question!

"Alette Larson, who the hell told you to say you couldn’t give me the answer I wanted? If it weren’t for the fact that you’re a woman, I really would slap you!"

Jaysen Smith must have been furious, his emotions severely unstable from the rollercoaster of news, instinctively raising his fist, before deciding to put it down upon seeing her face.

"Oh, wasn’t it someone just now who said, if they couldn’t hear the answer they wanted, they wouldn’t care whether I was a man or woman, and would beat me up regardless?" That childish and impulsive demeanor, Alette Larson had seen for the first time, had it not been for her own eyes, she would’ve never guessed such a refined and indifferent man could exhibit such a crazed and juvenile action.

"Alette Larson!"

Jaysen Smith shouted at her vehemently and stood up, intent on walking past her and straight into the operating room, no longer in the mood to waste words with her.

"You dare to go in there and try!"

Jaysen Smith had barely taken a step when the chilling voice of the woman behind him sounded, "Madeline told me, if you name the child Yosef Smith or Aurora Smith, you won’t be allowed to hold the baby!"

After saying that, with a bang, she bypassed the petrified Jaysen Smith and went directly into the operating room!

Madeline said that?

Not allowed to hold the baby?

So, does that mean mother and child are safe?

Joy overwhelmed him; his mood soared from anxious despair to sheer excitement.

"Alette Larson, open the door for me, open the door, you damn well clarify things for me!"

Jaysen Smith frantically pounded on the operating room door, shouting loudly into the room, but there seemed to be no movement inside, as if it were getting ready to punish him by ignoring him.

Like a madman, Jaysen kept pounding on the heavy door of the operating room, which had been locked from the inside.

"You say you haven’t even picked a name yet, and you expect your wife to open the door for you?"

Witnessing this scene, Mr. Gordon looked quite amused. Ever since he had known the man, from the time they wore split-crotch trousers, except for the years they spent studying in different countries, this man had always maintained an indifferent, gentlemanly demeanor—calm and polite. A loss of composure was something that never seemed to be associated with him.

He had long wanted to see the man lose his composure; obviously, such opportunities were not easy to come by!

"Name?"

Hearing these two words prompted Jaysen to realize he hadn’t yet picked a name for the baby. "Right, the baby’s name. If it’s a boy call him... if it’s a girl call her..."

Despite having thought up so many names, he had suddenly forgotten all of them, even resorting to counting names like Yosef Smith and Aurora Smith. The word ’genius’ had just vanished from his persona!

The more anxious he became, the more he couldn’t come up with a single name. Jaysen really felt like he was going crazy!

"Quick, quick, quick, help me think, what would be a good name for our baby!"

"Since it’s your baby, if we help you think of a name, do you think Madeline will still let you hold the baby?"

Clearly, these friends were there to tease him, not to help!

"Alright, Michael, stop messing with him. Can’t you see he’s about to lose his mind!" Ivy Aretha shook her head in amused disbelief, finally unable to bear it, "Hurry up and think of a name. Otherwise, when Madeline wakes up and doesn’t hear a good name, she’s probably going to get upset. The mood of a woman who has just given birth is very unstable, and it’s easy to fall into postpartum depression!"

Michael Gordon: "..."

Wife, are you sure I’m the only one teasing him?

Ivy Aretha: I’m scaring him, not teasing him!

Michael Gordon: Okay, what the wife says goes; I shouldn’t question it!

"Have you thought of the name yet?"

The door to the operating room was pushed open again, this time only allowing Alette Larson’s head to peek out. Her eyes scanned the faces around her, all too eager to witness someone else’s misfortune, before she finally addressed Jaysen, "Don’t tell me you still haven’t thought of a name?"

"I’ve got it, I’ve got it. Let me in, I want to go see Madeline!"

Jaysen reached out to grab the door, hoping to push his way in, but Alette seemed well-prepared, as the door inside had been secured with a hook, utterly immovable.

"Jaysen, quit trying to find a loophole. Madeline said you’re a genius, and if you haven’t come up with a good name for the baby yet, it definitely means you’re not putting in the effort!" Alette looked at him with a sly smile curving her brows, "No name, no entry to hold the baby!"

"Well, can you at least tell me how Madeline is doing?"

"Typical, you only care about your wife, not the baby. Be careful..." Alette Larson was about to say, be careful or your baby might grow up like Nana Jensen, crying and saying daddy doesn’t love her. But upon seeing the soft little face cradled in Fabian Nala’s arms, Alette quickly bit her tongue. It had not been easy to soothe the little one, and she did not want to upset her again with a careless word—the little child didn’t understand the adult world yet.

"Madeline said she went through so much pain to give birth that if you can’t even come up with a good name, she won’t let you hold the baby. So, do you think she’s really going to have a problem?"

"Did she really say that?"

If she had that much energy to say such a thing, naturally she’d be alright. He just feared Alette was bluffing him.

"Nonsense, she also said that next time she has a baby, she’ll definitely make you go through it, to even out the pain!"
