Chapter 721: Chapter 700: Why do men always think about this damn thing!
"You can wash yourself in the future!" Mario Jensen didn’t stop what he was doing because of her words, "Does that mean I can’t touch you from now on?"
He paused and looked at her eyes, saying, "At least for the next three years!"
Lina Miller: "..."
Why do men always think about such crappy things!
Young Master Jensen felt wronged. If a man didn’t think about such things, would he still be called a man?
That would be a eunuch!
With Lina Miller recovering at home, she still kept a close eye on the news from the Orchid Kingdom. After all, Ivy Aretha was still there, and both Jaysen Smith and Oliver Thompson had gone with her. With such a large-scale operation, there shouldn’t be any problems.
However, as time went by, there was no news from there, making Lina restless. Mario Jensen was unable to contact Michael Gordon, and both Jaysen Smith and Lucas Sandy were away. The only man who could make decisions in Andras City was Mario Jensen. Sienna Harrison and Julie Harrison were both overwhelmed by the two little ones.
So, Mario Jensen decided to bring the two women and two children home. Firstly, to keep Lina company, and secondly, to protect the children in case someone from Orchid Kingdom sneaks back to harm them. Furthermore, there was Alya Larson.
Mario Jensen’s villa suddenly became lively. But amidst the liveliness, the atmosphere became heavier. The bright smiles on the children’s faces disappeared, and the more people there were, the more oppressive the environment became.
Orchid Palace, Orchid Kingdom.
"Crash!"
A crisp porcelain vase was shattered.
"Princess, breaking things is a small matter, but if you hurt your body, that would be a big problem. Please calm down and eat something first!"
Two servants attending to Ivy Aretha were earnestly cleaning up the fragments on the floor, while another was carefully trying to persuade Ivy, "If you don’t eat, the babies in your belly also need to eat. How can you manage without eating something?"
"Eat?"
Upon hearing that, Ivy Aretha looked up coldly at the servant trying to coax her, "The reason I don’t dare to eat the food you prepared is precisely because I have a baby in my belly. Who knows what you put in the dishes? What if it harms my baby?"
Ever since she was locked up by Simon Lowe, she had been extremely tense. After all, this man had once told her that he would abort her baby; she only stopped him by threatening to kill herself. Who knows if he would resort to underhanded means since he couldn’t do it openly!
If something were added to the food, she would be helpless!
Already in the hands of others, all she could protect now were the children in her belly. She believed that Michael Gordon would find a way to rescue her.
"Princess, how could we possibly poison your food? You are carrying a little prince or princess, even if we had ten thousand times more courage, we wouldn’t dare to do that!"
Ivy Aretha: "..."
What is going on?
Since Spencer Lowe kidnapped her, he disappeared after threatening to take her child away on the first day. It had been over a week, and he hadn’t shown up at all. In the meantime, these two had been taking care of her. She had even gone on a hunger strike once. The servants had no choice but to use a silver needle to test for poison, and after confirming there was no problem, she finally agreed to eat. However, it turned out that there was indeed no poison.
She was particularly angry today because she didn’t want to be under house arrest any longer. She was already seven months pregnant, and it wouldn’t be long before giving birth. She had to return to Michael Gordon’s side. When Bella Gordon was born, Michael wasn’t with her because they didn’t have any feelings for each other, and Michael had lost his memory and forgotten her.
But now they have feelings for each other; how could she let her child be born without their father present?
So she had to break out of this pointless house arrest.
"I don’t care, either you let me go, or I’ll starve to death right here and waste all your efforts!"
If she were kidnapped, it meant that she must have some value. If they wanted her dead, it wouldn’t take such a huge effort. Whether she truly was a princess or just resembled one, it didn’t matter. What mattered was her value and the threat she posed to others. That was important.
"Please, please, Princess, if anything happens to you, our heads will be lost!"
Upon hearing Ivy Aretha’s threat to starve to death, the two servants attending her immediately knelt down, their faces drained of any color, as if they had heard something incredibly terrifying. "Please, Princess, just wait a little longer. In a couple of days, Young Master Frans will come to take you to see our old king and then attend the presidential election conference!"
Old King? Presidential election conference?
Ivy Aretha felt a wave of dizziness in her head. These words only appeared in TV series, particularly those foreign ones set in the sixteenth century. Hearing them now felt surreal. However, she didn’t have time to think it through and seized on a few keywords.
"Solving trouble? What trouble?"
Upon thinking about the possibility, Ivy Aretha excitedly grabbed one of the maids by the collar of her clothes, exclaiming, "Tell me, what kind of trouble did your Young Master Frans encounter? Is it someone from Andras City?"
For the past few days, Ivy Aretha’s eyelids had been twitching, and she had been feeling uneasy. She imagined something important must have happened. Hearing the maid inadvertently mentioning those words, Ivy was almost certain that the so-called trouble was Michael Gordon’s arrival.
This man, whom she loved for not very long, and who loved her for not very long either – his love was real, and she could be certain about that.
He must have found her. With Oliver Thompson, a uniquely talented individual, it probably wouldn’t be too difficult to find her here.
"I... I don’t know. Young Master Frans didn’t say anything. Princess, don’t ask me, don’t ask!"
Upon being questioned by Ivy Aretha, the maid immediately stammered in fear. Her master had instructed her not to reveal any information concerning anyone coming to look for Ivy. "Young Master Frans didn’t say anything. He just told us to take good care of the princess, otherwise, our lives will be at stake!"
"Risking your lives?"
Hearing this, Ivy Aretha loosened her grip on the maid’s collar. "What era is this? Do you think you’re living in a slave society where people can be killed so easily?"
"Princess, you don’t know. If Young Master Frans wants us dead, there are plenty of ways to do it. He could easily fabricate an incident and have us sentenced to death!"
