Chapter 701: Chapter 680: Good Things

"Lucas, what’s going on with him?"

Jaysen noticed Lucas coming in and asked without waiting for him to speak, "Are you sure there’s nothing wrong with his condition?"

"Yes, it’s just a mild concussion. He’ll be fine." Lucas answered Jaysen while checking him out. However, the more he checked, the more furrowed his brow became, and his face grew increasingly solemn.

"Lucas, what’s wrong?"

Jaysen’s heart tensed up, knowing that Michael Gordon had a history of injuries, and the brain was not something to be messed around with.

"Good news!"

As soon as Jaysen’s question came out, Lucas’s frown loosened, and his gloomy face brightened up. A faint smile spread across his lips, followed by an incredulous mutter, "The blood clot pressing on the brain’s nerves has just disappeared like that?"

When Michael was brought into the operating room, Lucas had already checked all aspects of his brain. There was bleeding, but no injury, so surgery was not performed. Lucas suspected that the blood was from the clot formed in Michael’s brain years ago. After examination, it was true that the clot, which had been pressing on a nerve, was bleeding and slowly disappearing.

Now that it had vanished without a trace, it meant that the memories Michael lost for so many years should be able to recover! With this possibility in mind, Lucas thought that if all those lost memories were restored, would Mr. Gordon truly have the ability to flatten the small country of Orchid Kingdom?

The wisdom and ability of a person can be accumulated. The thought of all those years of wisdom exploding together at once made Lucas feel sorry for the two brothers.

"You stay here, Jaysen, and everyone else, please leave. He’ll wake up in no more than two hours!"

Lucas looked around the room, filled with people, and quickly urged everyone unnecessary to leave. Having so many people gathered was not suitable for a patient’s rest. Ivy was kidnapped, and Michael would be furious when he woke up. Since the surgery was completed, Lucas needed to go and handle proper matters with Oliver Thompson.

Jaysen stayed in the ward with Michael, while Sienna Harrison naturally followed. Julie Harrison originally planned to take the two children home, but Bianca Aretha fainted when she heard about Michael’s car accident. It was not feasible to carry her home, so they decided to stay in the hospital until Michael woke up.

Since Bianca was such a sensitive child and Michael wasn’t in grave danger, concealing the truth would only cause her more worry. It was better to let her stay beside him. Sienna was there, so Julie felt at ease. She entrusted her daughter to Sienna’s care, then went home to prepare some nutritious food.

With Bianca still unconscious, Roy Thompson refused to leave, insisting on staying by her side. Julie decided not to force him, knowing that her son was utterly devoted to the Gordon family. He was already smitten with the girl at such a young age. Luckily, Bianca reciprocated his affection; otherwise, Julie would worry about the dilemma her son would face when he had to choose between her and Bianca when they grew up.

It seemed that Julie needed to carefully consider Oliver’s suggestion of having another daughter. In these times, daughters were more reliable. She already had a reliable daughter-in-law; now, she needed a dependable daughter as well to make her life perfect.

After Julie left, Jaysen, Sienna, and Roy were the only ones awake in the room. Sienna saw Bianca’s small body with such pale skin that appeared even whiter against the white hospital bed. Unable to bear it, she picked her up and cradled her in her arms. Perhaps because she had just lost a child, or because she had watched Bianca grow up, Sienna couldn’t help but want to keep her close, as if she might disappear at any moment.

Seeing Bianca in Sienna’s arms, Roy brought a small stool and sat in front of her, his gaze fixed on Bianca’s pale, closed-eyed face. His deep eyes locked onto her, making it seem to Jaysen as if he was deeply in love with her.

"Roy, why don’t you go to bed for a while? Your sister is fine. She just had blood drawn and needs some rest!"

Sienna kissed Bianca’s closed eyes and said to Roy, "When your sister wakes up, I’ll wake you up, okay?"

After all the stress they went through, both adults and children alike were exhausted.

"Aunt Sienna, I’m not tired!" Roy shook his head earnestly but continued to gaze at Bianca’s white and soft, adorable face. "With Uncle unconscious and Aunt Ivy missing, my sister will be scared if she wakes up and even I’m not around!"

Bianca may seem fearless but was in fact timid. Roy knew that since she fainted last time in the cave. So, he must make sure that the first thing she sees when she wakes up is his familiar face. Otherwise, how could she bear it!

"I promised my sister I’d protect her. If she only sees me after someone calls me when she wakes up, what kind of protection would that be?!"

As he said this, Roy raised his head, patted his chest earnestly, and declared, "A man’s word is his bond!"

Sienna: "..."

Has the age of manhood now been reduced to a seven-year-old boy?

Seeing this, Jaysen couldn’t help but twitch the corners of his eyes. Roy was indeed Oliver’s son, showing such devotion at a young age. Thankfully, his love interest was Michael’s daughter, not the daughter of an enemy like his father, or he’d be in for real torment.

When Oliver fell in love with Julie years ago, Jaysen and Michael thought he would either go crazy from their own torment or be driven mad.

"Roy, do you like your sister?"

Jaysen asked as he looked at the young boy sitting on a stool, staring at Bianca in Sienna’s arms.

"Of course, I do! Do you not like her, Uncle Jaysen?"

Roy thought Bianca was so adorable that everyone should love her, and flowers should bloom in her presence. Why even ask this question?
