Given Jaysen’s physical prowess, he could’ve simply jumped from the car safely, barely sustaining any injuries, let alone serious ones. But when she saw the man’s no-hesitation actions, she felt incredulous.

He had risked his life to make sure Sienna’s body landed on the sand mound, nearly losing his own life in the process. If Sienna hadn’t resisted jumping out of the car, Jaysen wouldn’t have lost the chance to do so himself.

Jaysen had a close shave with death. If he hadn’t pushed Sienna out of the car, he’d have had enough time to escape himself. But, contemplating Sienna’s high levels of stress, his body got stuck, leading him to miss the best time to escape, only to watch the car roll off the cliff.
