Chapter 534: Chapter 513: It’s really worthy of being your seed, Oliver Thompson!

As he spoke, he slowly pulled the trigger of the pistol.

"Wait!"

"Don’t!"

Both men’s voices rose in unison. The difference was that when the larger voice rang out, the gun also lifted in his hand, while when the smaller voice rang out, the small frame was already shielded over Bianca’s tiny body.

Oliver Thompson held the gun motionless in his hand, his finger on the trigger, the infrared barrel aimed right at Harvey Dunn’s brow. The movement was so precise that, if not looked carefully, one wouldn’t notice his trembling hand on the trigger.

Roy Thompson stood with his whole body shielding Bianca. The gun originally aimed at Bianca was now pointing at Roy’s head, creating a tense confrontational scene.

"So, what, are you trying to use my worthless life to block your precious son’s life?"

Harvey Dunn didn’t lift his head or move a muscle, as if frozen in place. Despite the grave confrontation between the two men, his tone remained languid and lazy. "But I never would’ve guessed that your son, at such a young age, is so infatuated. A little brat knowing even to risk his life for a pretty young girl. He’s truly your son, Oliver Thompson!"

"Naturally. Otherwise, a scumbag like you, filled with rubbish all over, wouldn’t even be worth saving by a pretty young girl. Not every man is qualified to play the hero and save the beauty!"

Oliver Thompson stared at him with a gloomy gaze, the corner of his lips pulling a bewitching cold smile. The chilly intent seemed as if it would annihilate him at any moment. "There’s nothing wrong with a man being infatuated. The only thing to be afraid of is living a lifetime without even having an object for infatuation. That’s the difference between you and me!"

That’s the difference between you and me?

It was as if these words hit right on Harvey Dunn’s most sensitive spot. As soon as he heard them, his hand trembled slightly. Being the nearest to him, Roy could clearly see his reaction.

Indeed, his whole life seemed solitary and he never met a woman who could touch his heart!

He had slept with countless women, giving away his body but keeping his heart intact within his chest, subjected to endless torment.

"Harvey Dunn, release my wife and children. Today, I’ll give you a chance to escape!"

This deadlock can’t go on forever!

Despite pushing himself, Oliver Thompson was well aware of his physical condition. He had needed Jaysen Smith’s help to get into the car, standing this long was already a miracle. If he went on any longer, he would be exposed.

If it weren’t for the three hostages in his hands, he wouldn’t be afraid to have a definitive confrontation with Harvey right here and now!

Yet, it wasn’t possible now.

Seeing Bianca’s distress and the other two children unconscious and powerless, he knew that Harvey Dunn was not an ordinary bandit. He undoubtedly had a plan to survive in this situation.

They had just experienced a fierce battle between them, thus claiming his life now was evidently out of the question.

"Do you think I kidnapped your wife and children just to get an escape opportunity from you?" Harvey Dunn sounded as if he had heard a funny joke. "If there wasn’t something else I wanted, I could just sit here and wait. Why bother with your wife and children? Obviously, I want more!"

"Then tell me, what do you want?"

At his words, Oliver Thompson didn’t waste time and stared intently at him. Then word by word, he replied, "Let me guess. It seems like everything you want, I seem to have? Including my life!"

Oliver Thompson’s voice was light and indifferent, seemingly carefree. It was hard to discern his true thoughts, but Julie Harrison knew what he was talking about!

"Great! That’s straightforward!"

Harvey Dunn was initially taken aback by Oliver Thompson’s willingness to agree. Then his curiosity piqued: "Weren’t you risking your life to get the blood diamond back for your woman? What’s the meaning of giving it up so easily now?"

Despite his casual tone, it seemed as if he was questioning Oliver’s sincerity.

"Heh! What other intentions could I have when you’re holding my wife and children captive? How many possibilities are there?"

Oliver Thompson looked at Harvey Dunn with a half-smile, a bewitching, nonchalant expression playing across his lips that seemed to mock him. Only those who understood their competition knew what these words really meant.

"Your life will be mine sooner or later, let alone the blood diamond. Giving it to you would just mean lending it to you for a little while longer!"

"Good! Confident, bold, and worthy of being my rival for so many years!"

Harvey Dunn was the first to put away the gun aimed at Roy Thompson and lightly shook his somewhat numb hand. An icy smile still lingered on his face as he spoke candidly, "No wonder I don’t find it satisfying to merely kill you. Can you guess what I was thinking just now?"

As he spoke, his gaze shifted to Julie Harrison’s torn clothes on her chest. Waiting for Oliver Thompson’s cold voice to erupt in anger, Harvey continued as if answering his own question. "I was thinking that if I could pin your woman under me in front of you and do it over and over again, that would feel great, wouldn’t it?"

As he said this, he slightly nodded his head and seemed to approve of his own words. "Mmm, it would definitely feel amazing. It’s much more interesting than killing you!"

Upon hearing this and seeing her ripped clothes, Julie Harrison instinctively tightened her grip on her chest. Her already shivering body grew colder, and as she caught a glimpse of Oliver’s gaze in her direction, she couldn’t help but avert her eyes and lower her head, not daring to look at him again.

By nature, Oliver Thompson was sensitive, and his line of work had sharpened his awareness even more.

Ever since entering the cave, his peripheral vision had never left Julie’s figure. He was keenly aware of her nervous expression.

Julie Harrison had always been a woman who cared about her image and the details. Her excellent upbringing had produced a rare and graceful demeanor, and she had always appeared elegant and charming, even when working as a nanny at Ivy’s home.
