Chapter 515: Chapter 494: Is it serious? Have you taken medicine?

Originally frightened and at a loss, Ivy Aretha heard this voice, and it was like grasping at a life-saving straw in the chaotic sea of people.

Upon hearing the sound, Ivy jumped up excitedly from the sofa, disregarding everything and rushing directly towards the door. When she saw the familiar voice appearing in front of her, the tightly-strung Ivy’s nerves broke completely. She lunged forward, burying her head in Michael Gordon’s embrace, and hugged his waist tightly with both hands. In the next moment, tears poured down like a dam bursting. The anxious voice trying to speak came out hoarsely. Ever since she got the news, her emotions had been taut, and when she saw Michael Gordon, she broke down: "Michael..."

"What’s wrong?"

Ivy was always a strong woman, and it was rare to see her cry. This was the first time Michael Gordon had seen her lose emotional control, and it frightened him. He was hesitant to ask questions until her emotions had settled.

"Alright, Ivy, calm down first, and then tell me slowly!"

Michael Gordon glanced at the people in the house and quickly noticed that Julie Harrison was missing, along with the two little ones. Lina Miller and Fabian Nala came over, making it clear that something had happened at home. Then, he saw Fabian Nala’s face nodding at him.

Michael understood half of it. Other than that little one, he couldn’t think of anyone else who could cause Ivy’s emotions to suddenly lose control like this!

"Madeline, help Ivy go upstairs and rest!"

Michael Gordon furrowed his eyebrows slightly, and then bent down to pull out the head in his arms. He lowered his head and kissed her tearful, devastated eyes, "Behave, go upstairs and rest first. I’ll handle the matter of the two little ones. Before nightfall, I promise to bring them before you so you can scold them!"

"I’m fine!"

Listening to Michael Gordon’s promise, Ivy’s frantic heart slowly began to calm down. She then realized how seriously she had lost her composure. Ever since marrying Michael Gordon, she had become extremely dependent on him.

She had become so dependent, that when he was not around, she felt disoriented in the face of problems, as if she lacked a backbone. Now that she saw him, it seemed like everything would be resolved.

After experiencing Michael Gordon saving her from the brink of death twice, Ivy unconsciously developed an instinctual dependency on him in these matters.

While Madeline recounted everything that had happened, she looked around, making sure Jaysen Smith was nowhere to be seen. She figured Michael Gordon was busy dealing with Bianca Aretha’s matters, so she decided to hold her questions for the time being.

However, the moment the thought left her mind, images of Jaysen Smith’s handsome figure kept appearing in her head. She thought of his frail body and wondered if he had been beaten up as well.

After enduring for quite a while, Madeline couldn’t help but ask: "Michael, hasn’t Jaysen returned?"

Michael Gordon was watching the surveillance footage and making phone calls that same moment. When he heard her question, he seemed like he hadn’t heard it at all. Just when Madeline wanted to ask again, he hung up the call and casually glanced at her: "You miss him already after being apart for just a few days?"

"No... I’m just a bit..." Madeline hesitated to say ’worried,’ but then she heard the familiar indifferent male voice from outside the door.

"We’ve just got married. Isn’t it normal for her to miss me?"

Madeline’s eyes lit up as she looked towards the direction where the voice came from. Jaysen Smith stood at the door in a black trench coat, one hand on the shoulder of a pale and movement-limited man. Upon closer inspection, Madeline was shocked.

"Oliver Thompson, what happened to you?"

All of Madeline’s consciousness was filled with Julie Harrison’s bloodbath disaster from the day before. The first thing that came to her mind was: Is it really this effective?

"Got wounded, that’s all!"

Jaysen Smith glanced at Oliver Thompson and said lightly while looking at Madeline, "In order to please a woman, he almost lost his life, even implicating me and nearly causing me to lose half of my life as well!"

Madeline was so scared that she immediately covered her mouth!

Daring not to scream, when the initial shock passed, Madeline rushed directly to Jaysen Smith’s side, grabbed his arm and carefully looked at him from head to toe. She did everything short of undressing him: "Jaysen, are you hurt anywhere? Let me see!"

She had already checked him thoroughly, and his hands, feet, head, nose, eyes, chin, and lips were all fine. However, upon seeing Oliver Thompson’s pale face, she couldn’t help but worry that Jaysen Smith may have been hurt somewhere invisible.

Jaysen Smith’s eyes twitched: "How about I take off all my clothes so you can check me thoroughly?"

As soon as he entered the door and before he could put down the injured man in his arms, Madeline had been examining him as if he was the injured one. Although he was somewhat unaccustomed to his previously insensitive wife suddenly becoming so careful, he couldn’t deny that his heart was full of sweetness, as if it had been soaked in honey.

After a trip outside, his queen could actually show concern for others, and he was the target of that concern!

"What are you saying!"

Hearing Jaysen Smith talk about undressing completely, Madeline finally realized that he was teasing her. Unfortunately, his expression was too indifferent, so it took her a while to process that he was joking. "I’m worried about you. Among the three of you, you have the weakest build and are the least resistant to fighting. Even someone as resistant as Oliver has been wounded, so I’m worried that you might have been hurt too. You still have the energy to joke, don’t you know how frightened I am?"

As she spoke, she hit his shoulder lightly in annoyance.

Jaysen Smith: "..."

Was this sympathy?

When did he become the weakest one?

"Yeah, I’m the weakest one. The two of them are better fighters, so when we fought, they protected me. That’s why Oliver got seriously injured and I got some minor injuries, mostly on my legs and back. Remember to remind me to change my bandages tonight, otherwise, there will be scars!"

As he spoke, he helped Oliver Thompson sit down on the sofa and spoke casually without revealing any emotions. To Madeline, this made her feel like her own husband was merely discussing a routine matter, not realizing that he was trying to trap her with the words "you’re the weakest one in the fight."

"Is it serious? Have you applied medicine?"

Although Madeline was fierce, that fierceness was only in her words. She had never been in a fight herself, and naturally couldn’t distinguish between the severity of injuries. So when he said that, she assumed he had just received a few small injuries that she couldn’t see.
