Chapter 504: Chapter 483: There’s Still Time, Let’s Chat Some More!
After she finished her babbling, the reporters finally realized that Mrs. Smith was actually still present. They had previously assumed that Mrs. Smith was with Mrs. Gordon, as well as another woman who clearly looked like a wife from some affluent family – someone they didn’t want to offend.
As it turned out, Sienna Harrison was willing to spill her family’s affairs, and they had thought that she would take this opportunity to slip away, considering the disgraceful nature of the situation. They figured she would leave first, and then a little bit of money would resolve the issue later on.
Of course, this was all besides the point for them as reporters – it was their job to submit stories, while whether or not they would be published was a matter for their leaders to decide.
"So, all of you are moved now? Does this mean the drama was quite successful?"
Sienna looked at the group of people and chuckled lightly, then raised her eyebrows. A faint smile played across her beautiful face, making her rather enchanting. Compared to the woman next to her, who looked like a resentful wife, the difference was stark – like heaven and earth.
Many people secretly thought to themselves – if they had to choose, they would also pick Miss Harrison. What’s more, how could a talented young man like Theo Scott resist her?
Although they had sympathy for Mrs. Scott, they couldn’t deny the truth: Sienna was indeed beautiful. Then, one of the reporters remembered something that Mrs. Scott had just mentioned. Seeing that the three women did not show any signs of anger, he boldly stepped forward to ask a question.
"Miss Harrison, is it true what Mrs. Scott just said? That you were with Mr. Scott for six years, and then you broke up because he couldn’t stand your temper as a spoiled young lady?"
At first, Sienna did not want to pay any attention to the reporters. However, upon hearing this reporter’s question, she suddenly changed her mind. After all, the reporter was smart enough to call her Miss Harrison instead of Mrs. Smith.
Although she didn’t care much about saving face, she knew that Jaysen Smith was a man who valued his reputation and quality of life. So, she wanted to earn him some points – if she couldn’t gain any, that was okay. But she couldn’t afford to lose the face he had earned for himself, at least!
"Yes, I did date Theo Scott. It’s quite normal for young men and women to be in love on campus, isn’t it? And yes, we did break up because he dumped me. I was heartbroken for a long time, and I cried and made a scene many times. Which woman wouldn’t be upset and emotional after a breakup? Wouldn’t that make them any less of a woman?"
The reporters: "..."
Why did it turn out this way? Should they continue the interview?
"Look, you see, the truth has finally come out! She admitted it openly, and I didn’t lie, did I?"
When Theo’s wife heard Sienna’s open admission, her courage to act disgracefully seemed to rise a few notches. "She’s a shameless bitch, completely lacking in manners!"
Sienna: "..."
Excuse me?
She has no manners? Did that mean that the wife had any manners at all?
Would a woman with manners call someone else a bitch in front of a group of reporters?
Hearing this, Sienna was not surprised. Her facial expression didn’t change much, and she still maintained an amused smile, as if the insult wasn’t about herself at all. After a while, when the surrounding expressions of astonishment and abuse died down, she spoke again, in a light tone: "Why is Mrs. Scott so worked up? I haven’t finished just yet. I did say that I was dumped, and that I was heartbroken and caused a scene – which is true. But it doesn’t mean that the reason was because of my severe spoiled temperament!"
Sienna’s eyebrows curved as she smiled, then casually checked the time on her wristwatch: "There’s still some time, so let’s chat some more!"
So, she seemed to be saying, if there wasn’t enough time, she would leave and stop talking with them. Whatever they wanted to do was up to them, and she wouldn’t be bothered either way?
All the reporters were instantly in awe – her composure was impressive, even for them as experienced interviewers!
"So, what was the reason that you and Mr. Scott broke up?"
The reporters were very interested in this reason, as it could potentially reveal a significant piece of news, revealing the value of all three people involved!
"He couldn’t bear the pressure of being with a wealthy girl like me, a privileged Miss Harrison!" Sienna casually swiped her phone as she spoke. "He said that being with me gave him the feeling of being taken care of by a rich woman, which his male pride couldn’t accept. He also said that a woman like me made him feel inferior, so he had to dump me. Isn’t that normal? Isn’t that what men with strong principles do these days?"
"You were with him for six years – and he had no idea that you were Miss Harrison?"
"This is the issue, isn’t it? That’s why young women can be so affected. Especially women like me who come from privileged backgrounds – we’re wealthy, beautiful, and have plenty of men surrounding us. If a woman has worn a high hat for too long, she might prefer to act a bit aloof. So, I pretended to be a poor girl, trying to find someone who wasn’t with me for my status. And that’s how I unintentionally found the young Mr. Scott. I guess time flies when you’re studying, and we ended up pretending for six years. Everything was discovered, and then I was dumped – it was just a simple campus love affair that broke up after graduation. This is the same as many other couples in society. Is there any other problem?"
The reporters: "..."
"So... is it true what Mrs. Scott just said, that you suddenly married Mr. Smith because you seduced him into your bed and wanted him to take responsibility?"
Upon hearing this, Sienna just laughed. She didn’t show any signs of being angry; instead, she appeared all the more radiant and charming. As everyone was dumbfounded, expressing their doubts and disbelief, her melodious voice rang out amidst the crowd, carrying the hint of being unattainable.
"Do you not know what kind of person Mr. Smith is? His bed isn’t that easy to climb into. After all these years, do you think someone like me who’s been dumped can crawl into his bed? Are you considering Mr. Smith stupid or yourselves stupid?"
After speaking, Sienna smiled, then stood up directly from the sofa where she had been sitting to watch the drama unfold. Turning towards the camera, she said, "These days, being a reporter without a brain is tough. If you keep asking foolish questions, you might just lose your job without even realizing it!"
Having said that, without even looking at the crowd, she reached out to help Ivy Aretha who had been sitting on the sofa up to this point: "Let’s go!"
"Clap-clap-clap!"
Just as Sienna uttered these words, a rhythmic round of applause accompanied by a domineering air echoed through the room. Following the applause, an authoritative female voice broke in, "You’ve got guts and self-confidence. Mr. Smith’s choice is certainly unique. A woman like you is worthy of our Mr. Smith!"
