Chapter 481: Chapter 460: Wife, have you aged?

Why did he have the urge to punch this man?

Mario Jensen’s fist gradually clenched. He would have beaten this man down if it weren’t for Ivy Aretha.

For the sake of his little schoolmate, Mario Jensen endured it!

Mario Jensen coldly glanced at Michael Gordon, who just shrugged, led Ivy inside, and left the door wide open for him.

Time ticked by, and Mario Jensen stood bewildered at his bedroom door, the passionate scene of the two playing over in his mind. He hesitated to open his door.

After a long while, his legs were numb from standing in one position, he took a deep breath and gently pushed open the door.

The seductive scene of a woman he had imagined was gone!

Mario Jensen took another deep breath and called Lina softly, but there was no response. He sighed, walked over, and saw that she had fallen asleep, her head resting on the pillow and tucked under the quilt.

Her long black hair spread across the light blue quilt, her peaceful and bright facial features softened in the dim light. The woman seemed to be sleeping soundly, her face buried in the pillow and her body covered by the quilt, yet her exposed white shoulders illuminated the room with a faint glow.

Mario Jensen’s heart tightened, his restless emotions suddenly settling down. He pulled up the quilt to cover her shoulders gently, then leaned down and placed a deep kiss on her sleeping brow.

He turned around and found another quilt in the cabinet, placed it on the bed, then went into the bathroom for a cold shower. After cooling down his overheated body, he emerged from the bathroom.

Mario Jensen fished her discarded phone from the trash can and sat down on the sofa, scrolling through her WhatsApp and friends’ posts multiple times to clear his mind. He put away her phone, then took out his own and placed it on her handbag.

He said she could use his phone since he couldn’t be without one, so they naturally swapped.

Finally, Mario Jensen sat down with the quilt next to her. He embraced her gently, feeling restless if he didn’t sleep holding her, yet feeling tortured when he did.

Being a man these days really wasn’t easy!

The next morning, Lina woke up to find that Mario Jensen was already gone.

She opened her eyes and saw two quilts on the bed, and all her toiletries were prepared, even toothpaste squeezed on her toothbrush.

Lina felt dazed for a moment before recalling the steamy scenes from the previous night and how it had ended due to fears of pregnancy.

She remembered Mario frantically searching for condoms, and her lips curved into a beautiful smile. The usually serious and indifferent Mario Jensen had shown a cute, anxious side.

While thinking about it, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

As she prepared to change after washing up, she found that the clothes she planned to wear were laid out in order: underwear, socks, and skirt – all the items she had said she’d wear the day before.

She noticed her handbag beside her clothes, with an extra phone on top – the one Mario Jensen usually used. She recalled him throwing her phone away and saying that she could use his instead.

Lina’s heart fluttered, and she hesitantly picked up his phone. She instinctively swiped the unlock screen, using Nana Jensen’s birthday as the code. The pair had used passwords related to their child’s birth wherever possible.

When she unlocked the phone, Lina saw a beautiful family photo as the wallpaper, taken on the day she was discharged from the hospital.

They had chosen a close-up selfie because her appearance in the ward was unflattering and their daughter was too small.

Mario Jensen had objected to the photo, noting her weak health and their child’s young age would be affected by the radiation. He hadn’t been able to convince her though, so she grabbed his phone and forced him to pose with their child in the hasty photo.

He even commented later that the photo was unappealing, earning scolding from his mother. Unexpectedly, the photo had become his phone wallpaper!

Lina leaned down and placed a good morning kiss on the man in the phone’s screen, a warm smile appearing on her lips.

"You’re kissing my phone screen so early in the morning! It’s as if you’re a widowed mourning her husband, kissing his portrait."

As Lina’s kiss landed, Mario Jensen’s voice, heavy, and somewhat frustrated, emanated through the room, his body exuding a sense of dissatisfaction. He walked in, a bag in hand, and an evil wind surrounding him.

Lina’s smile twitched, and she retorted without hesitation, "Nonsense! What kind of gibberish are you talking about? This portrait stuff is childish!"

Mario Jensen: "..."

Why did he smell the scent of his old lady on her?

How could someone so young talk like this?

"Darling, are you old?"

"Huh? What do you mean? Are you dissatisfied with my age?"

Perhaps their intimate encounter the previous night had bridged the gap between them. Lina’s demeanor and tone were evidently closer and warmer, her gaze much softer and more wife-like than before.

"Not dissatisfied!"

Mario Jensen laughed softly, throwing the bag onto the bed before walking over to the woman, examining her face closely. "Even if my wife becomes an old lady, I won’t be dissatisfied!"

"Of course, you’re older than me, so when I become an old lady, you’ll be an old man. You wouldn’t be able to reject me even if you wanted to!"

Mario Jensen: "..."

Mr. Gordon’s words, ’love is cultivated, the more you make, the more you love,’ were indeed wise. Just the mere sight of the transformation he had desired for so long had appeared even without making love yet.
