Chapter 468: Chapter 447: Indeed, it’s hard to tell who is the attacker and who is the receiver

"Huh?" Sienna Harrison turned to look again at the passionate pair of men, then shook her head at Ivy Aretha. "Honestly, I can’t tell who is the top or the bottom. It probably varies based on the situation."

"Which country in the world allows gay marriage then?"

Sienna Harrison: "....."

"I didn’t ask that. When I arrived, they were proposing, and a bystander told me this story!"

Sienna seriously thought for a moment and then said, "I think I saw on the news last time that there is a country that allows gay marriage, its name... um... what country is it? Oh, dear, I suddenly forget, look at my terrible memory!"

Sienna was chiding herself and tapping her head as she spoke, grumbling about her forgetfulness. Just as she was trying to remember the name of the country, Lina Miller’s gentle and serene voice came: "That country is Iceland. In Iceland, gay marriage is allowed. Even their prime minister is gay, and if someone gay wants to get married, regardless of gender, immigrating to Iceland is the best option. But it’s not easy to immigrate there!"

Mario Jensen: "..."

Honey, you know so much. Do you want to go to Iceland and have a same-sex marriage?

Except for Sienna, who remembered after hearing Lina’s explanation that Iceland was the country where gay marriage is allowed, everyone else gaped in shock at Lina.

Finally, Ivy couldn’t help herself, and after throwing Mario a glance, turned to Lina and asked, "How do you know it’s hard to immigrate to Iceland? Have you tried?"

What she really wanted to ask was, are you also planning to go to Iceland to find a woman to marry?

But she had Mario, so Ivy’s question came out this way!

Everyone thought that Lina would blush as usual and say no. Unexpectedly, Lina simply nodded calmly and agreed, without a hint of embarrassment.

"Yes, when I tried it, I was immediately denied, they didn’t even look at my application!" As Lina spoke, her tone became more regretful, and she didn’t notice Mario’s face, darkening like charcoal. "Actually, the living conditions over there are very good, and the people are quite open-minded, there is no discrimination. Just think, even gay people are accepted by the nation and blessed by the people. Being a single mother is even more widely accepted!"

So when she found out she was pregnant and worried that Mario would force her to abort the baby, the first country she thought of fleeing to was Iceland, because she knew she didn’t have to worry about people pointing fingers at her child for not having a father there.

What she didn’t expect was that as soon as her documents were submitted to the Immigration Department, her application was denied without any reason provided.

She was frustrated for a long time. All she could do in the end was regret.

Probably because she got emotional from Sienna’s words, Lina unintentionally revealed her past without a thought, oblivious to Mario’s face, darkened as if it could swallow the night.

Everyone else was sweating for Lina, thinking she would get punished tonight for revealing this. They thought her predicament might be like Julie Harrison’s--unable to get out of bed after spilling too many secrets!

Indeed, as they were thinking that, Mario, with his blackened face, came closer to her: "So, when you found out you were pregnant, you wanted to take my child and immigrate to Iceland?"

"Huh?"

At a glance from Mario, Lina blinked in surprise, recovered her senses, agreed, and then elaborated, "Yes, Iceland is very open-minded, and the living environment is good. I was thinking that if I lived there with the baby, there shouldn’t be any problems, at least I wouldn’t be judged, after all..."

Perhaps Lina felt that after the misunderstanding between Jaysen Smith and Sienna Harrison this afternoon due to a lack of clarity in their words, she should be completely honest with Mario now that they were married.

So Lina obediently revealed her thoughts, damn the consequences. But as she went on, she gradually lost her words, and could only look helplessly at Mario’s unhumanly dark face, not knowing where she had gone wrong. She shut her mouth and dropped her small head.

Her tall figure, accentuated by the light blue beach dress, gave off a melancholic sense of loneliness. When others looked at her, they saw an innocent and harmless creature that needed to be protected.

Sure enough, before she could react, several men nearby began to whisper in foreign languages about how such a beautiful woman could be treated so rudely. They were itching to replace the man who had no sense of chivalry.

Lina was completely focused on figuring out why Maria was suddenly angry. She didn’t take note of the unusual looks around her. Besides, besides Chinese and decent English, she couldn’t understand the other languages they were speaking.

However, others in their group could understand these languages. As Mario stared fiercely at the men who were ogling his woman, Michael Gordon chuckled and reminded him, "Mario Jensen, you might want to take your wife back to your room before those animals come over and play the hero."

Considering their current standoff, one with a furious face like a demon ready to tear her to shreds, any sane person would conclude that the man was bullying the woman, let alone the pack of men with lustful eyes.

"Come with me!"

Mario’s brows furrowed, his gaze was cold, and he grabbed Lina’s hand to pull her away. But his movements were so sudden that Lina didn’t have time to react, and she stumbled forward.

Just as she was about to faceplant into the sand, a hand caught her thin waist, saving her from falling. Just as she was about to walk off, she realized that her stumble had filled her shoes with sand. She bent down to empty out her shoes.

Watching Lina struggling to empty her shoes while one of her hands was held by him, a wave of guilt washed over Mario. He didn’t even know why he was getting so angry.

All he knew was that he was overwhelmed with nameless fury from a sense of abandonment on hearing her say that she was planning to single-handedly migrate to Iceland and raise his child upon discovering her pregnancy.

Once his anger erupted, he could hardly control it. Lina was always obedient, so she was frightened by his outburst.

Mario’s heart ached. He bent down, intending to help her put on her shoes when an arrogant voice rose behind him.

"Let her go, young man. The lady obviously doesn’t want to go with you. Where are you trying to drag her off to?!"
