Chapter 358: Chapter 337: The Promising Young Master Situ

"Okay, Mom!"

Roy Thompson obediently nodded at Cathy and then looked at Bianca Aretha very gentlemanly, making a formal bow and spoke seriously, "Hi Bianca, my name is Roy Thompson. My dad said that when I grow up, I will be the most handsome, coolest and coolest man in the world. I came to take my mom home. Thank you for taking care of her for so long!"

Cathy: "..."

Ivy Aretha: "..."

Suddenly, they realized they could no longer step into the world of children. The level of self-love among these kids was unparalleled!

"Little brother, you’re so full of yourself!" Bianca shook her head and sighed, then spoke seriously, "The most handsome, coolest man in the world is my dad now, and it will be my little brother in the future!"

While talking, Bianca glared at Roy unhappily. Although he was indeed handsome and cool, she couldn’t compare him to her father and future little brother. So she automatically put him aside.

Upon hearing this, Roy’s charming little eyebrows furrowed. He stared coldly at Bianca, his eyes cooling a few degrees. After a few moments, he finally spoke as if he couldn’t hold back any longer, "One day, I’ll make you know who the most handsome, coolest, and coolest man in the world is!"

Bianca: "..."

"Ambitious little Roy!" Michael Gordon couldn’t help but chuckle and walked over to pat Roy’s head, "Indeed, a man needs such courage to be worthy of marrying my daughter!"

"Daddy, don’t say that! It makes me shy!" Upon hearing Michael’s words, Bianca immediately walked over and tugged on her father’s pants leg, whining, "What if I grow up and meet a more handsome man and don’t want to marry him?"

Michael Gordon: "..."

"Nonsense!" Roy’s little face became unnatural due to the conversation of father and daughter, but he still pretended to be calm and glared at Bianca, "Who said I’m going to marry you? You’re not...good...not that good-looking!"

Roy was originally going to say that she was not good-looking, but when his eyes fell on Bianca’s soft little face, he had to admit that she was a rare beauty even at such a young age. When she grows up, she will definitely become a great beauty!

That’s why he changed the sentence from ’not good-looking’ to ’not that good-looking’!

"Uh... If I’m not good-looking, why are you blushing?" Bianca’s clear peach blossom eyes stared steadily at him, not backing down from his masculine stance, "Daddy, I’m a cute little beauty now, and when I grow up, I’ll definitely be a stunning beauty, right?"

Michael Gordon: "..."

His daughter’s vanity was indeed inherited from him, even using the term ’stunning beauty’ to describe herself!

Just before Michael could answer, Roy frowned with a cold gaze at Bianca, saying, "This is called blind vanity!"

"If it’s vanity, how can it be blind? Little brother, that’s a misuse of words!" Bianca countered without any hesitation, "I’ve only heard of blind self-confidence!"

Roy: "..."

Uncle Gordon’s daughter was indeed like Uncle Gordon: born to argue!

Since he couldn’t win against her, he simply ignored her. Anyway, his father told him that he didn’t need to show off his skills in dealing with women. Losing an argument wasn’t a big deal!

"Michael, look at your daughter, you’ve spoiled her to the point that she has no manners!" Seeing Roy had closed his mouth, Ivy Aretha wanted to scold her own daughter but couldn’t bear to, so she instead pushed the blame for Bianca’s sharp tongue onto Michael.

"Wife, you’re wronging me! I didn’t teach her anything!"

Mr. Gordon felt terribly wronged. Every time his darling daughter got into trouble, he was the unlucky and suffering one!

As the few of them chatted, Oliver Thompson had already packed his things and came downstairs. Seeing Roy nestled in Cathy’s arms, he first frowned before saying, "Roy, you’re a big boy, you can’t be in Mom’s arms all the time. It’s not respectable!"

"What do you mean ’in my arms all the time’? Roy just got here!"

Cathy quickly and loudly objected!

Upon hearing that, Oliver’s gloomy face suddenly brightened, and his lips curved into a subtle arc. The woman finally engaged him in conversation, so it seemed that bringing Roy over was the right move!

"How about snuggling a little while then?" Oliver looked at her deeply, seemingly in a good mood. Cathy immediately realized that he was doing this on purpose, just to start a conversation with her.

"Oliver, do you find this amusing?"

She didn’t want to embarrass him in front of his son, but the fact that he’d brought Roy over was obviously pressing her with her own weakness, forcing her to comply. His intentions were clear: he wanted her to go back, be the proper Mrs. Thompson, and uphold the facade of him not being a heartless, ungrateful man.

"It’s quite boring, actually." Oliver smiled faintly, still staring deeply at her angry but enduring face, "But who’s to blame when you refuse to talk to me properly?"

"So, you brought Roy here for that?"

Bringing her son would leave her no choice!

This man is ruthless, stepping on her heart every step of the way, causing her pain with every breath, yet leaving her helpless!

"It was Roy who said he missed Mom and wanted to come see her!" Oliver wore a rare smile on his face, and then asked Roy, "Roy, is what Daddy said correct? You missed Mom, right?"

"Daddy is right!" Roy turned to look at Cathy and said seriously, "It’s Roy who missed Mom, so I asked Dad to bring me to see you. Mom, don’t be mad at Dad. He’s been sad and miserable since you left, and he misses you a lot!"

Cathy’s heart was overwhelmed by her son’s serious and solemn expression, her entire being feeling somewhat stunned. Her heart was aching for every word Roy said, unable to breathe properly.

It goes without saying that Oliver had taught him this. While her son missing her was true, the notion that this man was sad and miserable because of her absence was impossible!

She knew better than anyone who the woman in his heart was!

"Roy, Mom isn’t angry at Dad. Be good!", Cathy hurriedly touched her son’s face, reassuring him. Over the years, she had grown accustomed to putting on a facade in front of her son. No matter how bitter she felt inside, she couldn’t let her child suffer!

"So, Mom, can we go home together after the New Year?"

Roy looked at Cathy and asked earnestly, "We can go home, and then our family will be reunited like others!"
