Chapter 202: 183, Handsome guy, can I borrow some genes?
After countless unsuccessful blind dates following the break-up, her father began to settle for less. If she was unwilling to marry any of those men her father approved of, she would have to find someone she liked herself!
The child would stay with the Harrison family as an heir, but the man would not be allowed into the Harrison family estate.
Sienna always found it ridiculous how her father saw the Harrison family business as a treasure. Why did her happiness in her father’s eyes always come second to money?
She was no longer young. The man she was willing to give up everything for had abandoned her, and her father was forcing her. It seemed like she had no other choice!
Would she rather become a single mother or marry someone she didn’t like and live a life that felt like an eternity?
She would prefer to be a single mom like Ivy Aretha, having a lovely baby like Bianca even if she didn’t end up marrying Michael Gordon in the end!
So, she chose Jaysen Smith!
His genes were impeccable!
He was pleasing to the eye; rolling around in bed with him for a night would at least be enjoyable without making her nauseous!
"Miss, let the driver take you!"
Lilia, hearing her reasoning, thought it best not to comment further. Even if she did, it might not be useful. While talking, she went to arrange a driver but was stopped by Sienna.
"No need, I’ll drive myself!"
She had already inquired clearly that Jaysen Smith was home that night without any plans, at the same villa where she had previously stayed. If she was going to sleep with him to conceive a child, she couldn’t let anyone know about it.
It would be fine if it were successful, as she didn’t want her father to have other ideas by knowing the baby’s father was from the Smith family. It wouldn’t be good if it seemed like she was using the child in her belly to force the Smith family to marry her!
If it failed, there was even less need to mention anything. Although Sienna didn’t care much about her reputation, she still needed to save face!
She couldn’t lose both the man and her face!
Even in the Harrison family, losing both the man and her reputation was something Sienna couldn’t do!
After saying this, Sienna found the most inconspicuous car and drove away. Supported by her memory and navigation assistance, she headed towards Jaysen’s villa.
Gorda Villa
"Young Master, dinner is ready!"
Aunt Zinn respectfully informed the elegant man sitting in the living room, reading a newspaper, that the meal was prepared.
"Good!"
Jaysen responded without looking up, continuing to read the newspaper in his hand. The doorbell rang suddenly in the quiet room, making Jaysen’s beautiful eyebrows furrow slightly.
"Young Master, have you arranged for someone to come for dinner tonight?"
Mrs. Zinn had gone to open the door and couldn’t help but look back at him. If there were guests tonight, it seemed her dinner preparations might not be enough.
"No!"
Jaysen still maintained his elegant posture, his pupils shrinking slightly on the newspaper. Deep down, he was puzzled. Every week on this day, he wouldn’t attend any social events or invite anyone over. Instead, he’d just enjoy a peaceful night at home.
As the only son of a wealthy financial family, Jaysen was different from Michael Gordon. Making money wasn’t his pleasure, and his ambition wasn’t that big. For him, enjoying life was the most important thing!
So, he would always reserve a lot of time for himself outside of work, doing things he wanted to do like reading newspapers, playing sports, and taking vacations. Even if he was busy, he’d keep days like today for himself to clear his mind and relax. Over time, it became a habit that people in the circle, including Michael Gordon, knew about.
As a result, no one would disturb him on his day off, not even a phone call, let alone someone showing up at the door!
Who could it be?
"Miss, are you... looking for our Young Master?"
Miss? Young Master? Hearing these titles, Sienna felt something was off. Her gaze involuntarily turned to herself. There was nothing wrong with her appearance, except for her brightly colored clothes, right?
So, Miss Harrison cleared her throat and said, "Aunt Zinn, I’m not a miss, I’m Sienna. I’m not looking for the Young Master, I’m looking for Jaysen Smith!"
Mrs. Zinn: "..."
Isn’t that still looking for their Young Master?
However, this girl was quite interesting and well-groomed. Just now, the Young Master had said he hadn’t invited anyone over for dinner, right?
"Miss, our Mr. Smith hasn’t invited anyone for tonight," she said, knowing Jaysen’s habit. Mrs. Zinn glanced at the girl dressed up and figured she must be interested in their Young Master. But now that this girl had shown up at their door, the Young Master said he hadn’t invited anyone over.
Hadn’t their family Young Master ever brought a woman home? Suddenly, this girl appeared on her own, and she felt like she should at least try to turn her away!
To her surprise, the girl across from her seemed not to get the meaning behind her words!
"He never invites women over, I came here on my own!" Sienna ignored the undertones in Mrs. Zinn’s words, and with a smile on her face, directly looked towards the dining room. "I think your Young Master is not getting any younger, and it’s not good for him to always eat alone. Aren’t you worried? Men will eventually need women in their lives, so having a proactive woman like me, you should be happy for him, right?"
Mrs. Zinn: "..."
Why did this girl, who clearly had ulterior motives towards their Young Master, sound so pleasant?
Mrs. Zinn suddenly found herself nodding, thinking it made sense. It was true that their Young Master was not young any more. He hadn’t even found a woman to date, let alone had any scandalous gossip. For such an outstanding man like their Young Master, there must have been many women vying for his attention.
But, she hadn’t seen any successful advances. This was her first time seeing someone bold enough to come to their house. Miss Harrison was right; their Young Master was too refined. He needed a more proactive woman to secure him.
So, Mrs. Zinn hesitated, and then called towards Jaysen, who was still reading the newspaper in the living room, "Young Master, Miss Harrison says..."
Before she could finish her words, the rich, scholarly voice of the man interrupted her. "Let her in!"
Mrs. Zinn: "..."
Mrs. Zinn had been with the Smith family for over a decade, and this was the first time she had seen their Young Master so straightforward!
"See? Your Young Master likes assertive women like me!" Hearing the man’s voice, Sienna smiled charmingly. "Thank you, Aunt Zinn!"
Having said that, she went past Mrs. Zinn and walked straight towards the dining room. Having stayed here for a night and a morning, Sienna was familiar with eating arrangements.
